Hintere Wasserfallen in Mümliswil-Ramiswil

Had an aperitif from our club there today (Good Friday). Service was friendly and the drinks were pretty quick too. The food came rather staggered and a bit disorganized. I ordered a waterfall plate for 27.50 CHF and it came much less than expected for the price. 4 slices of salami, 4 slices of cheese, 4 slices of bacon with a little garnish (I wasn't sure what the salad was supposed to be on the plate either). When we were paying, we asked the waitress that the price was way too high and she said it was just good quality. That may be true, but it still doesn't justify the price for what little there is. A pity

Birthday party with aperitif/food. Food was excellent, service was friendly and very pleasant.

There was very little choice on the menu, only 5 or 6 dishes were on the menu, nothing more, it was very cold in the restaurant, it was freezing, we weren't the only ones who said that it was very cold in the restaurant, it was icy cold. Will go there not going again, are disappointed and now everyone is sick😐. And the service was unfriendly and only gave something for the children to paint when asked. Children had to wait a long time for their food and the Spätzli pan was more of a button pan, not special, the price was very high for the small selection.

Rustic, traditional with good food. We recommend. You can also stay overnight here cheaply. Terrace with a beautiful view. It is important to make reservations on weekends and sometimes during the week. It is a very popular restaurant. Also important to note opening times.

If the staff is recruited from the forest, you can't expect anything.

Absolute recommendation! Five of us registered for a farmer's breakfast. Four of them were vegetarians, which was absolutely no problem, they were switched over without any problems. Everyone was thrilled with scrambled eggs, hash browns, vegetables, cheese, bread, etc. The chef even made a super-fine vegetarian terrine especially for us! Everything was delicious! We were warmly welcomed and served attentively. We all immediately felt very comfortable! At the end there was even a small gift to take home in the form of Christmas goodies. A good place for lunch, without expecting super elaborate dishes. The place was a bit cold and the service, due to the only waitress assigned to the tables, was incredibly slow.

Salad plate with egg. Salad from the bag, salad dressing from the bottle. The majority of canned corn kernels. Good and fresh food looks different for 18 francs.

👍 Today we two women from Basel were able to experience something extraordinary - namely hospitality in action - specifically: we were surprised by a violent thunderstorm - had to abandon our planned hike and walk back to the starting point - we returned on the way, completely wet the restaurant - we were warmly welcomed and entertained - the fine landlady also offered to dry our clothes in the tumbler, gave us paper to dry our shoes and a warm jacket each, and put a carpet under our cold feet 👉BREF: SEVEN STARS FOR THE WELCOME CULTURE

Unfortunately the landlord has changed. We always used to come up here specifically because of the good food. Based on our experience today, we definitely wouldn't come again. The menu is very small. We had a table at 12.30pm. The hit of the day (which was the only thing we wanted to order) was already sold out at this time, as were most of the desserts. We were 2 families. Our food arrived 15-30 minutes apart, so we couldn't all eat together. We had to wait 45 minutes for the sausage salad with fries. The food seemed cheap and carelessly cooked. Very unfortunate.

The landscape and nature are breathtaking. If you have a Basel U-Abo, you can reach the cable car via the Basel-Liestal-Lauwil interchange. A separate fee is charged for paying for the cable car.

The longest waiting times I have ever experienced in a restaurant!!! Waited over an hour for the drinks to arrive. Two hours for a small snack including payment - which took us outside of the planned hiking time. The (nice) service staff were totally overwhelmed and uncoordinated. Food was already out at 12 noon. Completely crowded and loud. The playground was also closed so that the children could not bridge the waiting time. It's a shame, because the inn is wonderfully located and actually a great starting point for hikes.

We wanted to have lunch with our little daughter today. Unfortunately, we left hungry after almost 2 hours because the order had been forgotten several times and the staff was hopelessly overwhelmed by the rush of guests. At least the drinks were on the house. Still not a nice experience!

That's awesome, a cable car to a mountain restaurant in the Basel area. You have to see or eat something like that. For me, the price-performance ratio is right, after all, everything has to be transported there. In addition, there is also the established time. All I can say is keep it up.

The two of us (with the wife) went to dinner. Despite repeated questions to the service, we only received a menu when there were few people.? The simple things such as bratwurst etc. have been removed from the new menu (available on the internet) - only expensive dishes are available with a lot of fries!?? Service said there was a lack of staff when asked? But there are bigger dishes!? No more with us next year!

A wonderful place to stay. No rush, no mass processing - pure relaxation. The welcome is extremely warm and the tone remains that way until the end. The food is fresh, tasty and carefully prepared. What more do you want?

Wanted to reserve a birthday snack for 5 people for an autistic child. Answer: we won't do it if you don't show up. Reservations only possible at lunchtime and evening. Can't this also happen at lunchtime or in the evening?🤔 My answer to that: We will definitely come because our son has a problem when there is no more space and we plan everything with him to prepare him. Unfortunately no exception. Conclusion: Children with disabilities are not welcome here in this case. It's a shame that families with such burdens are not supported.

Restaurant and service is good and friendly. However, the prices are at the upper limit. For a green salad, a portion of fries, a cold plate, a non-alcoholic cider and a cola almost 50.00 Fr. For 18.00 Fr what the cold plate cost, I would have expected a little more. A pity.

Try this one if the place by the gondola is too crowded for your taste. Family ran business with typical swiss food. Quality is good as usual and the staff is friendly enough. You can find a terrace, a playground for kids and a parking space for a comfortable Sunday family hike and lunch stop

A very beautifully located mountain inn with a large terrace. The menu is very manageable at lunchtime. But this means you don't have to wait long for your food. The portions are not exactly small but not too big either. The service is prompt and friendly. Overall, the price-performance ratio is right here. I will definitely come back there.

Das Berggasthaus "Hintere Wasserfallen" liegt auf 955 m ü.M. mitten in Wiesen und unmittelbar am Waldrand am Nordhang der Passwanghügel. Das Restaurant bietet bei schönen Wetter ca. 50 Sitzplätze und im schönen Saal stehen 120 Sitzplätze zur Verfügung.

Very nice and cozy restaurant. But unfortunately the staff don't take some guests seriously and stress someone out after sitting down to see if we've already thought about what we want and we waited a few minutes for the table to be cleaned. It's a shame.

Am heutigen Samstag hatten wir die Absicht nach unserer Wanderung in diesem Restaurant Mittag zu essen. Vor dem Start um 9 Uhr wollten wir noch telefonisch einen Tisch für zwei Personen reservieren. Die Dame am Telefon meinte jedoch, dass Reservationen auf der Terrasse nicht möglich seien. Nichts desto trotz haben wir die Wanderung gestartet und waren um 11.45 Uhr im Restaurant. Das sieht ja gut aus haben wir uns gedacht. Waren doch auf der Terrasse nur drei Tische besetzt. Bei der Frage nach einem freien Tisch wurde uns sehr unfreundlich mitgeteilt, dass es nur noch einen Tisch im Innenbereich habe. Die anderen noch zahlreichen freien Tische seien alle reserviert. So viel zum Thema man könne nicht Reservieren. Ein Versuch dies mit der Dame vor Ort zu klären endete darin dass diese Person ohne Worte zu verlieren im Gebäude verschwand. Inzwischen verstehen wir all die etlichen schlechten Bewertungen über diese Lokalität und können nur von einem Besuch abraten.

Service and food good (5 stars) but prices are much too high (2 stars). Therefore only 3 stars. French fries for CHF 9 (normally CHF 6-7)? Salad with chicken CHF 24 (normally CHF 18-21)? For the size of the portions (small) much too expensive. Recommend to go here for a coffee, but to picknick when walking up here. Location is nice with beautiful view!

Wir wurden schon vorgewarnt, dieses Restaurant wegen Unfreundlichkeit nicht zu besuchen, also haben wir anderswo gegessen. Der Teufel hat mich aber gestupft und wir gingen zum Dessert in dieses Lokal. Sowas von Unfreundlichkeit muss man wirklich suchen, es würde ja nichts kosten, eine andere Miene aufzusetzen, vielleicht guten Appetit zu wünschen oder ein Dankeschön über die Lippen zu bringen.Einmal und nie wieder !

2 francs were charged to fill up a water bottle.

The service seemed very cold, which I found very unpleasant. I also wanted to have my water bottle filled there, but had to pay €2 to have it filled with TAP water. For me personally it's a disgrace.

Schöne sonnige Terrasse. Toller Ort für ein Bier nach einer Wanderung. Der Raum sah ideal für eine Party / Veranstaltung aus. Die Angestellten waren sehr nett.

We had the gallows for dinner (must be pre-ordered). We all enjoyed it, the service was friendly and worked quickly. The garlic sauce has it all and is relatively strong. Definitely again.
