A great experience! We had an excellent meal and the service was excellent. The homemade sour cream and lime ice cream was particularly sensational.

Tasty dishes and very friendly staff!! We had two salads, an amazing hamburger and the ossobuco. The typical Alpine atmosphere made the lunch truly intimate and special. We spent more than expected, but it was so worth it!

Amazing, very professional service, very kind waters, meals cooked to perfection and very tasty. Even wine by glasses are top notch and they have a nice winecard. Portions are not small, but we managed to finish. Defenitly a place to come back. Strongly recommended to book at least one week in advance, without reservation it may be almost impossible to get a table, since it is fully booked.

During the carnival season, breaded fried chicken is also available to take away

We enjoyed two evenings at Restaurant Alpenhof. Our meals were absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend saving some room for one of the home-made desserts.

Great neighborhood foodie gem. We had been hiking for a few days so was nice to sit down at a restaurant. We looked up highly rated restaurants in the area and came across this. Didn't disappoint. Had the popular burger and summer salad. Local wine. English speaking staff. Owner was in the kitchen. They use their own garden herbs. Reservations recommended.

Ideal bei Übernachtung in der Lodge Weissbad als Ergänzung für das Abendessen.Kurze Gehdistanz. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, ausgezeichnete Speisen. Spezielle Burger und ein einmaliges Cordon-bleu, alles liebevoll mit Blumen und Kräutern aus dem Garten dekoriert.Einzige Kritik: die zum Gastraum hin offene Küche verbreitet den Geruch eindringend, Tage später haftet der Geruch noch an. Womöglich ist die Lüftung ungenügend. Ansonsten absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir waren auf Empfehlung des Hotels dort essen. Das Essen wie auch das Personal waren toll, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Tipp: Das hausgemachte Magenbrot unbedingt probieren (Gibts es zum Kaffee dazu)!

Bei Fleisch auf dem heißen Stein kann so manches schief gehen. Hier war alles perfekt. Vom Salat als Vorspeise über das zarte Filet und die knusprigen Pommes, sowie die leckeren Soßen bis hin zum hervorragenden Espresso. 10 von 10 Punkten. Dazu noch freundlicher und speditiver Service. Besser geht es kaum. Gerne wieder.

Gemütliches Lokal mit Sitzplätzen draussen wie drinnen; Aufgestelltes, motiviertes und sehr freundliches Personal mit enormem Einsatz (nur 4 Leute); sehr faires Preis-Leistungsverhältnis; Vegie Burger (Gebratener Mozzarella im Zucchettimantel) war der Hammer, Fitnessteller mit Pouletbrust tiptop.

Obschon in Appenzell untergebracht entdeckten wir den äusserlich unscheinbaren Alpenhof als "Geheimtipp", sodass wir 2 x hinfuhren. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Mehrere Burger-Varianten. Vorzügliche hausgemachte Linzertorte.

We were at Alpenhof „stübli“ several times, as a couple but also with friends and all of us tried the burgers. Frankly the burgers are not the best part of this place; all other dishes were way better. Particularly the different Steaks on the stone are truly exceptional. The burgers look great but are more of a meatball and not real burgers. The meat is too heavily compacted (squeezed).

Sehr gute Essen (sehr gut bürgerliche Küche) und eine gute Weinauswahl. Hier wird noch mit Leib und Seele die Berufung gelebt. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden etwas. Es ist eine gute Mischung. Sehr freundliches und speditives Personal. Auch das Lokal ist hübsch eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Ich werde bestimmt wieder kommen

Ein einfaches Restaurant in welchem auch die lokale Bevölkerung anzutreffen ist. Sehr freundlicher, speditiver Service. Die Gerichte sind frisch und gut. Das Cordonbleu hatte leider etwas zähe Stellen, war aber sonst ok. Burger und Teigwarengerichte haben gut gemundet und auch die Pommes sind bestens. Für ein Essen nach einem Wandertag stimmen Ambiente, Speisen und Getränke pppprima.Getränkevorschläge prima.
