Try the Swiss way! Raclette is a cozy dinner for two. You melt your own portions of cheese on little pans on a burner. We enjoyed good potatoes and all the traditional side dishes in this restaurant. It could not have been a more authentic experience. Make sure you place a reservation a short while in advance.

Top food, great selection, lots of vegetarian dishes and probably the cheapest prices in Vals. We have never been disappointed here in 10 years

Stopped here as part of a hike. The hash browns were wonderful, fluffy and probably fried in butter. Plus a wonderful mountain cheese...and a matching Merlot from Ticino. We were very satisfied, thank you very much.

Cozy and rustic restaurant in the village center of Vals (right next to the village fountain). We returned in the evening. The food was delicious (both Rösti and the seasonal autumn deer plate - as can be seen from the picture) and the portions were really large. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here! The staff was courteous and friendly (depending on the evening and the influx of tourists, a table reservation is worth it). Overall happy and highly recommended!

If you want to feel racist, go ahead. The gaze, behavior, and tone of voice that kept glaring at us were noticeable throughout the meal. It almost feels like Swiss people are uncivilized. If the owner sees this post, he/she can refute it.

Would have liked to try your game dishes. I think it's a shame if you come at 6 p.m. and the staff tells you that everything is reserved. The restaurant was still empty until 7:30 p.m.!!!!!!! The neighboring restaurant was more flexible in this regard.

Delicious rösti, meat was as requested. Very nice waitress. Only recommended! Prices are ok, Rösti are between 16 and 25 francs.

Meine Frau und ich sind zu einem Erholungsurlaub für 3 Tage nach Vals gefahren, da man dort recht gut entspannen kann. Abends haben wir uns dann entschieden in eine lokale Gastwirtschaft einzukehren, da wir keine Lust zum Kochen hatten. Die Entscheidung war Gold wert. Meine Frau und ich haben schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen für annehmbare Preise. Es war rund um perfekt. Vom Service über Vor-Nachspeise. Auf jeden Fall mal reinschauen und ggf. Den Aushang an der Tür checken (da mach mal eine Reservierung für diverse Gerichte notwendig ist) Empfehlung hierfür eine Onlinespeisekarte + Spezials. Für alle die dort einkehren.....Guten Appetit. My wife and I have not eaten so well for acceptable prices for a long time.It was perfect around. Insomma non è che a Vals ci sia grandissima scelta ma in questo ristorantino nella piazza principale ci siamo tornati per 2 sere di fila. Il cordon Bleu è spettacolare e la carne di cervo ottima. Prezzi svizzeri.

Went to the restaurant on Friday evening at 7 p.m. There were an estimated 15 guests at the tables, the brisk service employee immediately told us it would be at least 45 minutes, but we still decided to stay. 20 minutes later we still hadn't ordered anything, other guests who came in were immediately made aware of this They are not welcome...It's a shame, the service employee was completely overwhelmed and with so few guests...In any case, we left the restaurant and will never enter it again...

Wir haben ein gutes, währschaftes Abendessen genossen. Die Bedienung hat uns ohne weiteres eine Portion in zwei Schalen serviert. Der vegetarische Wildteller sowie das Wienerschnitzel war sehr lecker. Währschafte Küche ohne Schnickschnack, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, wir würden sofort wieder gehen.

Dies ist ein Restaurant, wo nichts besonders zelebriert wird. Man macht, was man kann, und das ist sehr gut. Man will nicht mehr scheinen, als man ist. Wir waren alle drei sehr zufrieden mit unserem Essen und meine Leberli mit Rösti waren sehr gut. So wie sie sein müssen. Das Interieur ist vielleicht ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen aber das stört nicht weiter. Wer Hunger hat, und etwas Gutes essen will, ist hier am richtigen Ort, und freundlich bedient wurden wir auch.

Ristorante tipico e curato, Alpenrose ci ha attratto per le sue offerte e per le esperienze positive di altre persone.Cibo di buona qualità, il ristorante ci ha deluso per il servizio: dimenticati dal personale, nonostante ci fossero soli tre tavoli da servire prima di noi, abbiamo atteso 90 minuti la sera del primo gennaio per ricevere i nostri piatti. Anche per il bere l’attesa è stata eccessiva: 45 minuti seduti senza nulla ricevere. Peccato

Great restaurant with a good choice of regional dishes (we had capuns for example, it was delicious) and classics like the beef tartare as a starter, which was divine! The choice of wines is also well taken care of and the homemade desserts were also great! Just be careful of the (very) generous portions.

Mai ist eine schwierige Jahreszeit, fast jeder Ort ist saisonal geschlossen. Alpenrose serviert Ihnen nur gut und wir hatten ein tolles Abendessen! !

Bon petit restaurant de montagne, agréable repas, très jolie salade mêlée et fondue correcte. Dommage le pain pour la fondue n'était pas le meilleur, mais dans l'ensemble plutôt bien.Nous avons payé 82 CHF pour 2 avec salade, fondue, 2 boules de glaces et 2dl de vin.

In un angolo della piazzetta di Vals, sulla quale troneggiano due ristoranti imponenti. L'Alpenrose non lo vedi quasi e non gli daresti un centesimo. Fa poche promesse, ma le mantiene... Buona cucina regionale, nel tipico ambiente di un ristorante alpino, con le pareti di legno. Due tipi di cordonbleu, uno con prodotti locali, davvero gustosi. Magrolini astenersi...

Hatten ein wunderbares Abendessen mit freundlichem Service und genossen das Raclette Dinner für zwei. Wir waren begeistert und würden uns sehr freuen, wieder nach Alpenrose zu gehen, um etwas anderes auszuprobieren.

Wir hatten ein hervorragendes Käsefondue für eine super Preis. Alles war hervorragend. Auch die Suppen vorweg. lediglich der Service war am Anfang etwas schleppend - aber sehr freundlich. Gerne wieder!

Es dauerte eine Weile bis das Essen kam. Aber es war sehr gut und mehr als genug. Leider war die Bedienung eher mürrisch und man fühlt sich so nicht besonders Willkommen.

Wir sind in der Zischensaison das erste Mal im Valsertal. Hotel Steinbock. Wir mussten feststellen das in dieser Zeit nur wenige Restaurants offen haben. Hinzu kommt noch das regnerische kalte Wetter. Eine grosse Auswahl hatten wir also nicht. Da wir keine Lust hatten im Hotel Abend zu Essen, spazierten wir ins Dorf. Zum Glück hatte dieses Restaurant offen den das Essen war ausgezeinet. Ich ass ein Kalbscordonbleu mit Gemüse und nein Partner ein Entrecote mit Gemüse und Pommes. Mein Freund hat selber mal als Koch gearbeitet und hat nur geschwärmt. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gebraten und bestimmt um die 300 Gramm!! Butterzart, fein Gewürzt! Am liebsten würden wir heute Abend wieder dort Essen da die Speisekarte unser Geschmack ist. Da Zwischensaison ist, waren wir die Einzigen im Restaurant und wie der Blitz bedient worden!

Auf der Suche nach einer Alternative für die überteuerten Restaurants im Hotel Therme Vals sind wir auf dieses Restaurant gestossen und wurden bestens bewirtet, wir genossen, saisonal, ausgezeichnete Hirsch-Medaillons und regionale Beilagen. Faire Preise, freundliche Bedienung und hübsche Gaststätte.

Das Restaurant Alpenrose bietet gut bürgerliche, schweizerische Küche zu vernünftigen Preisen. Das Lokal ist so eingerichtet, wie man sich ein typisches Dorfrestaurant vorstellt: nicht durchgestyltes Interieur, sondern rustikale Tische und Stühle, eine einfache Theke, wo Getränke für den Service ausgegeben werden und Servierpersonal, welches nicht durch Überfreundlichkeit, dafür mit promptem Service auffällt.Das Wichtigste in einem solchen Lokal aber ist das Essen. Unser Maluns kam in einer sehr grossen Portion und war währschaft und gut. Positiv war ebenfalls, dass die Weinkarte ebenfalls aus diversen Weinen in- und ausländischer Herkunft in Halbliter-Flaschen besteht.
