As usual, everything was done to make all guests happy. Unfortunately, acknowledging this with a bad review is standard practice today and is a real shame. You shouldn't be surprised if we have fewer and fewer people who want to work in the catering industry. Perhaps a little more understanding would be necessary, especially on such a beautiful Sunday, when all of us, except those who entertained us and looked after our physical well-being, had free time and enough time.

Absolutely catastrophic service :( We wanted to have lunch on Sunday, when the terrace was admittedly full, but even though we were given a card, when we wanted to order it was said: It was "order stop". They didn't even ask if we wanted one soup. The older people who sat at the table with us said they had never experienced anything like that in their long lives. Neither had we ;)

An hour walk up from Vals to a beautiful mountain hamlet surrounding a white church with dramatic views on all sides. Typical cosy Swiss style with the usual high standard. Definitely recommend this place

The restaurant is located in Leis (above Vals) and if you don't happen to pass it on a hike in the region, the explicit drive up from Vals to Leis is worth it - just for the food and the view! We stopped by the Ganni on a Sunday evening (reserving in advance is recommended as the indoor area doesn't have many tables in autumn and winter). The food was excellent (both the starter salad and the main courses - as can be seen from the pictures - and not forgetting the plum cake and the homemade ice cream for dessert!). The service was friendly, accommodating and made us feel good right from the start! We are really enthusiastic about the restaurant, the staff and the food and therefore always like to come back!

An excellent restaurant located above Vals. First-class Swiss specialties are served here. During my time in Vals I had the pleasure of dining at Ganni several times and each time I was extremely satisfied. The owners are extremely friendly and approachable, which makes the overall experience even more pleasant. The scenic location of the restaurant also adds to the atmosphere while enjoying the tasty dishes. I'm already looking forward to going there again when I get the chance.

Great and wonderfully prepared summer salad with excellent salad dressing and probably the best cheese noodles I've ever had (and believe me, I have a lot of experience). If you are in Vals, an absolute must!!

Extremely glad to decide to walk 1 hour uphill for lunch after seeing the reviews. And we can say the reviews are so right! We had cajuns and spaetzle, as well as their famed waffles with homemade ice cream. We ended the meal with a good shot of espresso and the meal came to just under 100 francs even with 3 draft beers. Every single dish was exquisite in a non pretentious manner, enjoyed ourselves very much dining outdoors with some splendid views of mountains. Afterwards we took the grassy hiking path down the alpine mountain enjoying all the flowers and smell of the lovely grassland. You should go try it. Heavenly experience.

We initially sought this place out to escape the aspirational dining offered at the Therme - The high ratings are definitely more than deserved - food is delicious - definitely worth the hour walk up from Val's to work up a proper hunger. The Käsespätli with onions and apple sauce are bonkers good - excellent! The service is friendly and welcoming. Whether toasting in the setting sun with a drink to take in the great view, getting down to the business of eating delicious food from a varied local menu or indulging in one of the many desserts, I'm sure it won't disappoint. I can heartily recommend.

Anyone who is on a weekend, holiday or even just a day trip to Vals should definitely visit this homely and cozy restaurant on the Leis. To the Ganni-da gani! All dishes on the menu are recommended. We've been staying at Ganni for years pamper you and always like to come back.

Simply super: cozy and delicious, well worth the trip up the hill. Friendly, welcoming, authentic: everything tasted freshly prepared with care and heart. We had a fabulous cheese fondue, perfect regional wine choice, delicious homemade waffles and merengue ice cream. Highly recommended.
