Entertaining hike from the Turbenthal cemetery steeply up the forest to Alp Schnurrberg. There is a small farm shop in front of the house with pure spelled products and meat. We were there early before lunch and luckily had a free table on the terrace, which filled up very quickly. Small menu, fast service and fine, beautifully prepared food. Priced in the upper range.

Going in a new direction is very nice every now and then, so we went ahead and tried out this nice-looking place. The brunch was delicious and the eggs and rösti were incredibly good and served in a matter of minutes for all 10 of us. Food quality was very high altogether and service was very friendly and professional.

By chance, after sledding today, I followed the signs and discovered this gem. Funny guests, delicious food and exceptionally friendly service. 😃 We will definitely come back. Thanks

As a guest at a private event (approx. 40 people) in the barn, you felt completely comfortable and welcome. Everything was professionally organized and ran smoothly. The hosts and their team are very friendly and accommodating. Everyone is on their toes, without any trace of hassle and always friendly. Great value is placed on regionality, some of it is even produced in-house and of course homemade, there is certainly a lot of work and passion that goes into it. Rustic and genuine, as you would expect in such a beautiful place in nature. Heard a lot of good things beforehand, which have now been confirmed. See you next time!

Well run mountain restaurant. Meat (if possible) is used from its own farm. Limited space available when outside area is closed. There is a big playground for kids. Even an old tractor is out for "display". The food is very nice served in generous portions. Züri Gschnätzlets (in Summer) and Chässchnitte (in Winter) can be recommend. When hiking from Elgg to Turbenthal, this was an ideal stopp for having lunch. The restaurant offers also many seasonal events.

We ate indoors in the restaurant, not in their special barn. The place was full of guests, but the service personal remained friendly and didn't appear stressed.

Were on a spring hike from Turbenthal over theSchauenberg to Schnurrberg. We were given a very warm welcome at the Schnurrberg Alpwirtschaft. Since it was a bit windy, we were immediately offered a place that was somewhat sheltered from the wind. The inn is very modern but also rustically furnished. Everything was well furnished and clean. Many of the products offered are homemade. There is also a self-service farm shop. During our visit it was the Metzgete days with a corresponding menu. We ordered Leberle with Rösti. And it was an absolute highlight. Everything is simply excellent and plentiful. There was also homemade bread, which was also a feast for the palate. The prices are moderate and absolutely fair. The beautiful terrace is spacious and the chairs are covered with fur. There are 2 playgrounds on the terrace. One is for the older children and one for the smaller ones is filled with lots of toys for the sandpit. When the weather is nice, we recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends. After we arrived around 11:00 a.m., the alpine restaurant quickly filled with hungry hikers. Overall, a great stop with great food and very friendly service. Thank you for everything ! We'd love to come back.

An alpine farm that has it all! We came as a group of 11 people for coffee and cake. These were made by the landlady - a trained baker-confectioner - upon advance order. Both the raspberry and apple quark cakes were not only beautifully decorated, they also tasted excellent. The portions at the next tables (a cold plate, a hamburger and a portion of French fries) looked appetizing and were generous. The service by the boss and the staff was prompt and very friendly. In between, people also took the time to have fun or have a little chat. We'd love to go there again!
