Best place to have a summer after work drink (summer garden) or to have a nice cozy location during cold winter season inside. Location is the old school of Horgen (the name Alte Schule is coming from there) Sometimes in winter there are special events like ice skating and others. PS: take a delicious Pinsa (almost like a pizza but better) at the foodtruck!

So it was a very cozy evening in a beautiful garden - would be happy again. If the tipster from Basel gets in touch, I'll be happy to return the favor with an invitation to the old school :-)

The employee we had was very hard-working and friendly. The “tenant” was very arrogant when he was on site. Guests are sometimes treated condescendingly. There is no mention of “Customer is King*” here. If there are staff shortages, there are long waiting times because only one service person is deployed for all guests (sometimes 70 people and one service person). When I asked, it was said that no one could step in and that the boss had office work. One of the things that can be expected from a good leader is that if a replacement cannot be organized, they will go to the front themselves and lend a hand. It's a shame that such incompetent people are allowed to occupy leadership positions.

The Alte Schule houses a nice bar with a huge beer garden in front of the building. There is a bar stand outside with a well-stocked range of drinks and a food truck with Italian dishes and a stand. This is the perfect place to end the evening.
