I only give the one star for the good food. I would not recommend this retirement home to anyone on earth! If you want your father/mother to be in good hands, then I recommend you look for another place. You don't want to imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Since I personally have had years of experience in retirement homes, I know what really happens behind the closed door in most cases. My father suffered and expressed it several times. Now I have received internal information about an employee. The nursing staff (most of them) intentionally partially ignored my father!! We let him suffer in pain in the room. Refused to shower him let alone wash his hair. According to an employee, they didn't want to ruin themselves. My father was big and heavy yes! But today, thanks to technology, we have the opportunity to accommodate severely disabled residents with a standing or lying lift and transfer them to the shower or bathroom. Yes, I'm aware that it takes time, but what we have to pay per month to not even be allowed to shower is incomprehensible to me. He left us 2 years ago. And just yesterday I received the information and I'm incredibly sad about it. Not only did I put my full trust in the nurses, but I also didn't really listen to my father! He told me so many times that he sometimes lay in the room in pain for hours even though he rang the bell so often. I didn't want to believe that. Now I know it's true! And it breaks my heart. When he came in, I had to call the nursing staff after 2 months to ask them to give my father a shower because he looked so neglected. And they made me look like I was the know-it-all, bothersome family member and made fun of me. I was just a worried daughter. My father is and was not an isolated case. I now need time to process the whole thing because it is breaking my heart. My father was a good person at heart. I just don't understand how you can treat someone so heartlessly. Nobody deserves that!

We once again enjoyed a delicious lunch and were served in a friendly manner. Happy to come back!

Mom was there - Dad now too. I have full confidence in this institution! The staff is very friendly and attentive, the infrastructure is good. I eat there regularly and am always pleasantly surprised by the selection and quality! Thank you for your valuable work!

Best care, wonderful care day and night from a 94 year old lady, varied menu with very good food, clean rooms, restaurant and building. Really great nursing staff. Highly recommended and thank you for your use.

A few days ago I visited a long-time friend in Frenkenbünden with friends who I met about 50 years ago during pilot training. He suffers from dementia - unfortunately he didn't know us anymore... So we were all convinced of how the residents there were looked after in the best possible way and were looked after with care and love. A big and sincere thank you to all the nursing staff - you have to be born for this very demanding job! And I wish you continued strength!

In this institution, profitability seems to have the highest priority. A huge machine with a “duty to rule” mentality. Actual humanity and appreciation is confused with daily routine. Very conservative and lazy. Luckily we only booked a “holiday room” with hotel tax. But that has nothing to do with holiday services. The patient was unhappy in this place and not because she has high standards - on the contrary. Yes, of course there are worse things, especially in other countries.
