Very tasty Wienerschnitzel, Cordon Bleu and the garlic noodles are also very tasty. The apple pies were also very good.

It's very disappointing that they advertise Viennese cuisine. The runner bean salad consisted more of tomatoes and cucumbers instead of runner beans, price 14.50. The fried chicken tasted soapy, price 39.00. All in all, not enough flavor but overpriced.

As an Austrian and a schnitzel fan, I read the positive articles about Amadeus with great interest and sincerely hope that the chef simply had a bad day and my experience did not meet the standard. The schnitzel was completely limp, the breading had come off and the whole consistency was unpleasantly soft throughout. I have never experienced something like that. I don't often have to leave food and write a 1-star review even less often. My Austrian heart cries after this visit.

Delicious food and friendly staff. But the prices are a bit steep for a non-Zürich restaurant.

Saturday evening 7 p.m. and “Backhendl” is over!?! A pity! We then quickly decided on the veal Wienerschnitzel. It tasted great but for SFr 52.00 it's rather at the top of the price/performance scale. For dessert, pancakes with apricot jam. The pancakes were perfect but the apricot jam was very sour. For me, with an Austrian mother, the character of this dessert was lost. The service was very accommodating and friendly. We'll be back to try the fried chicken!

Nice restaurant with Austrian specialties, I took Wiener Schnitzel with French fries with a small cup of typical blueberry sauce next to it, the breading and frying were excellent, the condoble was really good too, We were inside, there was an excellent atmosphere, the staff were friendly and attentive and always smiling, They welcomed us with some good flavored bread and butter, a little more, not spoiled like the portions of fries, otherwise everything was fine, perfect, I recommend it for the excellent quality and the welcoming atmosphere in the room, the desserts were good but some small portions for the rest a nice evening to do again

I found that on the way to the Amadeus restaurant in Schlieren I had a very fine Wienerschnitzel Gross with cranberry sauce and I think the dessert pancake was also very fine.

The Wienerschnitzel was a dream. Highly recommended. Quality and price are 100% right.

In this charming restaurant, traditional flavors merge to create a true feast for the senses. The warm ambience and attentive service create a welcoming atmosphere. Tiptop & a pleasant experience.

1. Reservation process: Unnecessary - we had reserved for the business lunch, but a table was actually only available by chance, the server was not informed at all and seemed more overwhelmed than really able to deal with the problem 2. There was no place setting - the assigned table was bare - we were told that we were lucky to have received a table 3. Eating à la carte was only theoretically possible - because we were repeatedly referred to the "cheaper" daily menu 4. The food itself was edible - but nothing more... 5. The ambience corresponded to a train station restaurant that had been helplessly redecorated in Austria 6. But there was a highlight - thanks to further scrolling and more detailed reading of the reviews found here, we found our replacement restaurant for the business lunch (Hofwiesen Zurich)

It is explained very simply. The Amadeus restaurant in Schlieren has the best Wienerschnitzel far and wide. Just great.

Best Wienerschnitzel. I'm not sure I've ever enjoyed a better one. Even in Vienna and the surrounding area, in my opinion there are only a few who can keep up. But the side dishes and other dishes are also a pleasure. Apple strudel at its best...mmm delicious. The wine list offers a well-chosen selection. The friendly service staff also do a very good job. At the moment when I can enjoy soul food of the highest quality, it doesn't matter to me whether the ambience seems a bit outdated and it doesn't harm the cozy atmosphere in any way.

I had the oxtail soup with cherry as a starter and the original veal Wienerschnitzel. Both tasted wonderful. The schnitzel was especially delicious! I also tried the fried chicken from my companion, which also tasted wonderful. The service was perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the restaurant looks very old and the chairs outside are very cramped for sturdier people like me. The look of the restaurant doesn't do the food justice. But the quality of the food makes up for it all.

The breading and frying were perfect and everything tasted excellent. The only drawback: for the price there could be a bit more fries, but they were also very good. All in all highly recommended. The atmosphere (we were outside) was nice and cozy. The service was very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommended and would love to come back here.

The Schnitzel tasted not bad but was definitely not original. It was fried in normal oil instead of butter. Fried once, instead of twice. And the outside dough was already moist, not crusty when served. Service was friendly. But the food was okayish. If you would like to try a good schnitzel in town, I would say, go to Gasthaus Hofwiesen, which is still the best Austrian restaurant in Zürich in my opinion.

The restaurant was recommended to us by various people and it did not disappoint. Definitely one of the best schnitzels I've ever eaten. The service was friendly and very efficient. We were there for a quick dinner and were able to enjoy it despite the lack of time. If you like Wiener Schnitzel, then it is definitely recommended.

Very very good food! Good service and fantastic food. The veal schnitzel is rather sparse but so tasty that there is plenty of room in your stomach for one of the delicious desserts.

I went here with friends to eat the legendary Wienerschnitzel. The reservation via the app was easy and it worked with the table. The service is competent and we were greeted in a friendly manner. The Wienerschnitzel was a poem as I know it from Vienna. The Gordonbleu lived up to our expectations. The white wine from Austria was fine and went well with the meal. I can only recommend the place to you and who knows, maybe we'll see each other sometime.

52 francs for a Viennese, for this simple location, there are probably fake reviews, 5* reviews without comment, most reviewers are new with only one review (fake). The Viennese, quality underwhelming, service mediocre, Viennese flair zero. I go to the 5* Schweizer Hof in Bern, Viennese for 53.00, everything about the ambience, service and quality is there.

I always enjoyed staying at the Amadeus. But this time unfortunately not at all satisfied. The veal was tough and gray and the breading didn't hold up at all. But the worst thing was that it was fried in bad (old) oil! It's been bothering me forever. All of this for a proud price of 40 francs! By the way, the menu salad was also canceled. Nobody notices...Unfortunately that was the last visit. PS: The boss arrived during the evening. Maybe he should take care of his restaurant during meal times.

Rustic restaurant, white tablecloths, standard service, quite expensive. We ordered the Wienerschnitzel twice. Really tasty. Exactly as we know it from Vienna: wafer-thin veal with a fine breading. But I had to swallow when I saw the price: 52 francs per schnitzel with fries or potatoes. No salad, no vegetables. Instead, cranberries and a lemon wedge. Even though it is supposedly the best Wienerschnitzel in Switzerland, it is at least 10 francs too expensive! Service was okay, standard, nothing special. Although we enjoyed it, we will refrain from visiting again. Price-performance ratio? Terrible. For a Kaiserschmarrn we would have had to fork out another 18.50 francs per person (minimum order quantity: 2 portions). In the end, we skipped dessert and made Kaiserschmarrn ourselves at home. It was tasty and much cheaper.

Schnitzel perfect 👌 Potatoes were too greasy as a side dish and also fries with a dominant fatty taste. Delicious dessert but unfortunately only one scoop of ice cream for about 1/2 liter of berry sauce.

The two of us ate excellent Wienerschnitzel (veal) and enjoyed it. The service was friendly and attentive. The apple fritters for dessert were also very good and were enough for both of us (3 pieces). I'm going back soon with two other guests.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right at all. Unfortunately, service employees were not attentive. Waiting times for the starter were too long, the food was okay but unfortunately nothing more. For the price I would have expected much more.

The schnitzel is very tender and juicy and the breading is fine and crispy. The fries, on the other hand, were pale and sleepy and therefore very disappointing. Arranging the plate could perhaps be approached a little more boldly. If you want a good schnitzel, this restaurant is in good hands. However, the French fries are not recommended as a side dish; you would probably rather choose the potatoes or the pasta.

Was really disappointed today! Entrecote with Cafe de Paris, vegetables ordered. Meat was fried to death. The vegetables were lukewarm. Medium, saignant,...! That wasn't even asked. Also disappointed that there was no reaction from either the boss or the cook, a shame. Again, no?!

Completely overpriced. Pork cordon bleu (overcooked, tough) and veal cordon bleu, 1L mineral and 1 strudel 110.-. A salad was ordered with the Cordonbleus instead of the usual side dishes, and an additional 8.00 per person. The quality of the food and the quantity were absolutely inadequate for this price. Once - never again!

A Viennese confirms: Best Wiener Schnitzel in the city - Gault Millau is right! ;) ...and the parsley potatoes are super delicious too. Also a culinary poem “to take away” at home! I was even allowed to watch the chef prepare things in the kitchen - a very nice person! The staff is generally very nice… I'm definitely going there regularly now. 😄

The Wienerschnitzel is, as always, a poem. Unfortunately, the noise level is very high, making it difficult to have a quiet conversation.

The schnitzel was very good, the fries were rather boring. One could overlook that. But unfortunately the service was very inattentive. We sat there for a long time after dinner with empty glasses and had the feeling that the service was deliberately ignoring us. It's a shame, because we would have liked to order dessert and more rounds of drinks...

The restaurant is a little old, but that doesn't matter, after all it's about the food. There is a menu for lunch, but I enjoyed an original Wienerschnitzel with "waves". With potatoes and cranberries. It was wonderful, I would love to come back to try the other specialties. ;-) I would also like to positively mention the service, certainly one of the best, they put in a lot of effort and you feel like you're in good hands, they had a lot to do, they were quick but never hectic.
