We sat outside on the terrace and had a wonderful view of the mountains. The service was very cheerful and spread a good atmosphere. The food was delicious. The recommended wine also went well with it. I'll definitely come back.

While bicycling from Bregenz to St. Gallen the lunch snack we brought with us seemed inadequate for the ride over the Swiss hills. We found Restaurant Anker nested in a beautiful scene in the mountains and decided to have a light lunch. It was such a beautiful and peaceful location, the service was very friendly and the food was so very excellent we were certain we found a food lover's secret Oasis. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's worth driving or bicycling there from anywhere. We loved their creative take on Tiramisu.

Pork steak tough, noodles dry, vegetables partly charred. Those responsible have little insight. Very disappointing.

Great restaurant with a great view of the mountains. Had a fantastic veal high sirloin steak, never eaten so tender! Service was also very pleasant and the food was on the table quickly.

Because of the nice overall impression, we spontaneously decided to have lunch there as we drove past and we were not disappointed. Very nice outdoor seating in a beautiful landscape, excellently professional and friendly service and last but not least it tasted very good too. The prices are also absolutely reasonable. Back home in Germany I paid more for significantly worse service and food. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Excellent food, impressive value for money. Unfortunately slow, inattentive service. Why wasn't it communicated openly that there was a traffic jam in the kitchen? Instead, they wanted to make “es Päuseli” palatable to us with a clumsy clever trick. We had already waited enough. In addition, stuffy hot, oxygen-poor air in the room. What a pity.

Nice and professional reception despite Corona measures. The extension is a modern interpretation of new and old, wood, concrete and a large glass/metal front, which offers a fantastic view over the Appenzell landscape and the snow mountains, when the weather is nice and clear. The white wine, the starters and also the main courses with desserts taste excellent, and everyone also likes the Merlot. The service is young, fast and attentive, but also Ms. Geiger, the boss, is there to support you and still finds time for a short conversation.

Starting with the welcome, through the first-class, attentive and very friendly service to the absolutely successful dinner. It was definitely not the first and last time, I'll be back. When visiting Anker, you start which a surprise: a farm house outside a modern and open space inside. The rest of the journey is as positive as the start: wonderful food and excellent service

We came too late and they had only the small menu available. It was quite disappointing: both bratwurst were burned black, the soup was nothing special. I can say the salad was good though. Service was quite slow given that the place was almost empty.
