After a wonderful first experience in 2022, we returned in June 2023. We took the organic/local menu, everything was perfect! We had a magical evening!

Just wow!! What a great restaurant in Locarno, which has taken its own culinary path and follows it consistently. The menu has a total of around 20 compositions (starter, main course, dessert) and these are prepared with a lot of dedication, passion and culinary art. The service is super friendly and accommodating, you feel very well served and the guest's wishes are taken into account. The woman in service is multilingual (German, French, Italian, English). The wine list contains great wines from the region, but also from Italy, and are offered at a very fair price. The only small drawback: It only has a single open red wine. Conclusion: Absolute insider tip in Locarno, far away from the mainstream, top service and a culinary masterpiece! We will be back!

We had a wonderful evening. We think the regional idea is great!👍The food is very creative and delicious. Because of the top products, we understand the rather high prices, but then everything has to be perfect. (Fish unfortunately overcooked) and with the delicious pork belly, be sure to add extra sauce, which was delicious! Otherwise wow, would love to come back

Very tasty cuisine, beautifully presented. The map is small but interesting. Friendly, attentive service. It's a little hidden, away from the tourist traps, about five minutes from the train station. Highly Recommended.

We spent a wonderful evening at the ancient tavern! The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, the dishes were exquisite from starters to desserts, a delight for the palate and the eyes! The girl in the dining room made us feel immediately at ease and was also impeccable in recommending excellent wines to pair with the dishes. Definitely recommended, we will definitely be back!!

Quiet, friendly and discreet place

I had a wonderful dinner in this tavern, kindness and excellent food.

Mixed - the dishes are good, original in their presentation but a little too expensive value for money - meat good / ravioli ok / fish a little dry and a little too salty - a fruit infusion in a sachet from the coop, even organic, This does not match the expected standard - the desserts are not at all up to par with the rest, and therefore really too expensive - overall, not bad but a little expensive for what is served - otherwise a charming welcome.

Too much “Schi Schi” pseudo chic in decoration, food ok, Prices are high and too expensive... 3-4 ravioli without sauce for CHF. 23.- No pepper in pepper mill, no menu, just app. Wrong knife for beef fillet (chf.49.-) or one that doesn't cut, then the waitress brought us a vegetable paring knife from the kitchen... something so unprofessional and embarrassing! Staff very friendly but a bit unsure.

Price-performance wasn't right for us. Minimalist decoration. Missing salad with the starters. Tasty and original main courses. Otherwise cozy and friendly.

Fabulous evening on the shores of Lake Maggiore at the Antica Osteria di Locarno-Muralto. Exquisite dinner, well-presented dishes with fresh, local products. Pergola terrace and very bright. As you can see from the photos, the dishes are carefully prepared and well presented. The youthful management is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. I highly recommend it to everyone.

A place that is not noticeable from the main road but rather hidden and above all you have to search for it or find it through word of mouth. The choice is wide for any type of request. The prices remain slightly higher than other restaurants and the quantities are not excessive, THIS is related to the fact that what is served is first and foremost of excellent quality, secondly the attention to detail and comparable to perfection. Compliments to the chef! A very interesting thing about the place is that if you take water from the tap there is a free donation for an association for "cancer research", various details on their website. The alternatives that are proposed are also interesting, such as sugar being served as coconut blossom sugar. The staff was generally friendly.

Great experience, the dishes are plated lovely, the staff is super friendly and professional (and fun). Very comfortable atmosphere outside. A nice surprise were the free hygiene products in the women's bathroom, a great example for other restaurants. A visit is absolutely recommended, definitely wasn't our last time there!

Braian, the chef, is a taste artist!! Between its gastronomic compositions, its cocktails, the attention to detail, the valorisation of the territory and the legendary Mary who takes care of the service, I can only recommend it and rate it with the highest marks! I go back to them whenever I can!

Very kind and at the same time very professional staff (which is no longer easy to find), while regarding the dishes, the photos speak for themselves, and they are as good as they are beautiful. Everything is always perfect from the pairing of flavours, dishes to plating, presentation and advice on the wine to pair with. The bread and focaccia are homemade. The place is fantastic both inside and out. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Very nice little, hidden restaurant with excellent cuisine. We were looking for a restaurant that wasn't a "tourist trap" and we weren't disappointed here. The service is extremely friendly, courteous and quick, there is a greeting from the kitchen and very good homemade bread. The main courses were very good in terms of taste and quality and extremely tasty. For example, coffee also comes with coconut blossom sugar (a natural alternative to industrial sugar), which I personally think is very cool. I would come here again and again and can only recommend a visit here.

I highly recommend you discover the delights of the Antica Osteria di Muralto! We had dinner in one of the 3 rooms, where a typical Ticino fireplace reminded me of my grandmother's house. After an amouse bouche with homemade focaccia, we all (2 couples) enjoyed every course which from starter to dessert was delicious. As soon as the temperatures allow it, we will return to enjoy the beautiful terrace with pergola, given that we have already chosen what we would like to taste. The waitress also speaks dialect which was much appreciated by "locals", we were also pleased that the chef came to the table to ask if everything was to our liking and that the manager took the time to show us the ancient cellar of wines, also typical of period Ticino houses. Congratulations to the young team, to whom we sincerely wish a season full of satisfactions.

Word spread quickly and we too found out about this beautiful place! Being very attentive to food, which we prefer organic, 0 km and seasonal, we could not miss this opportunity. The cuisine is refined, but at the same time does not make you feel uncomfortable as the environment is intimate, almost homely and the staff with their splendid welcome only increases this feeling of "home". The prices, given the quality, are fair. The young chef is always ready for a chat and his philosophy won us over, as did the place. They knew how to integrate the old with the new without distorting anything; furthermore you can see that there is a lot of attention to detail and cleanliness. I highly recommend! We will certainly be back...

Extremely positive impact right from the menu: a limited choice that demonstrates attention to detail. The 3 dishes I took (first course, second course and dessert) were very good, well prepared and the flavors were intense and refined. The choice of local and organic ingredients is reflected in a more authentic flavour. I highly recommend the gnocchi with rabbit ragout (delicious). The restaurant really has the appearance of an ancient tavern: many small rooms in a very rustic environment. The furnishings of the rooms and tables are in an antique style, but of great taste. Really a welcoming environment and a nice atmosphere. I will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful place, visited in winter and sat near the fireplace. Excellent service, good presentation, very good cuisine, but prices too high.

Bad. We were at the door at 12.10. It rained. The outside door was open, but we got no further. Interior door closed, everything dark on May 12, so no party or Sunday.
