ANTONS in Luzern

My wife and me come every couple weeks just for fine dining at antons. The staff is super professional and always kind and the food is outstanding. Language barriers are no problem, they have an international team that follows up on any request and make the dining experience feel like home. The seasonal creations are very creative and unique and the quality of food is always the best. Every beef lover must taste the beef Tatar - check out the photo. For me the best meat tatar i’ve ever had.

Very nice and clean location. Dishes artistically and attractively prepared. The dishes were ok to good - unfortunately not anymore. I had the pork steak myself, the side dishes were very good but the meat was very, very dry - more than fried. For the high price of this dish one could have expected more. The point of criticism was communicated to the service employee - who unfortunately only responded with “ok”. An absolute no-go for me. A pity.

Decent brunch place, nice service and not a problem to book it even one day ahead. The pouched eggs were very nice, churros were covered in a bit too much sugar, but otherwise tasty. I would add chai latte on the menu.

I have a new favorite burger, absolutely fantastic burgers here! The service was also super nice and the atmosphere was cozy, very great!

Great gastro concept, but there is still some room for improvement. According to the menu, the brisket was cooked for 72 hours, but it was still very tough, which is a shame. The porcini mushroom hollandaise was very dominant with the salmon. The music was very loud and repeated every hour. We sat on rattan garden chairs, so maybe you should put a cushion on them. And at the entrance there are wilted flowers that are the first thing you look at. Overall, there are a few small things that need to be worked on. Nevertheless, the restaurant is very well filled and therefore popular. Keep it up.

The service staff is in a very good mood and always prepared. No matter what questions you have, the questions will be answered professionally. You can also have little fun with the staff. Everything overall, the restaurant, the food and the service team is very good and we will definitely come back to eat several times.

Awesome place. Food delicious, drinks too, staff amazing - we'll be back for sure! We can recommend anything on the menu but especially the guac tacos - one of a kind!

A very cozy restaurant with excellent service. The waiter really has his job under control here like no other! The food is very nicely prepared, but the taste is just average and I'm taking another whole star off because of the horrendous prices and portions that are far too small.

This restaurant is a gem for burger lovers. Their juicy and tasty burgers are a delicious experience. The quality of the meat, combined with fresh ingredients, results in a feast for the palate. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly. Definitely a place to return to again and again!

My husband and I are huge fans of Antons!! I honestly think they have the best food in Lucerne. The flavors are inventive and delicious, and ingredients are super fresh. The servers take great care of their guests and know their wine. Antons’ gelato is homemade and not to be missed. We highly recommend the delicious eats and the great people of Antons!!

We came here for dinner during our quick stay in Lake Lucerne and it was one of the most memorable meals we ate. I can’t remember the waitress’s name (I think it started with an A) but she was so lovely and attentive. Overall vibe was so cozy and casual, with the entire experience here being such a highlight to our trip. The food was SO fresh, perfectly paired, and delicious. We tried a lot of local style foods & wine, with the highlight being steak tartare (which we tried for the first time). The wagyu burger and spare ribs paired so beautifully with their red wine selection. It was *divine*. Our appetizers and entrees were SO well prepared and you can definitely tell that local & fresh ingredients were used in every dish. We really appreciated that the chefs were steps away in their open-concept kitchen, and even said bye and thanked us on our way out. Highly recommend trying Anton’s for a delicious, local meal that’s just outside of the busy touristy Lucerne streets.

Had a great meal here upon our arrival to Lucerne. We came for the Swiss Beef Tartare because we saw the great reviews and it lived up to the hype! My husband said it was one of the best he has had. I ordered the Wagyu burger which was excellent, but the real star for me was the Antons Fries! They were SO delicious with the cheese and truffle sauce. The Antons Spritz was also great- a fun variation of the spritz's I found everywhere else. Flo was great and very knowledgeable- excellent service! They also had a seasonal menu with many interesting options. It was hard to choose what to order. Very nice ambiance in the restaurant!

We did 2 times brunch before at Anton’s. In general pretty satisfies with the food & drinks. First time having dinner there, food is good with fancy presentation. Always the same staff, they know well the menu. Very friendly and efficient service.

Best rated on Tripadvisor so we had to visit. And what an amazing time we had. Start to finish this was one of my favourite meals in all of Switzerland, and perhaps just generally anywhere. We had the pleasure of being served by Norman - a man who really cares for his guests with effortless ease. Clearly skilled and experienced, he made us feel so welcome and as we got chatting through the evening it was lovely to hear about his experiences whilst he made excellent recommendations for both food and drink. He is a credit to the industry - great service is a skill and one Norman exudes with such ease. The food is unquestionably great. So good, we came back 3 days later before flying home, just to squeeze in another visit. The burgers are superb - the chicken burger on our first visit was up there with the best, and the waffle burger on the second visit was absolutely HUGE (I couldn't finish it, and I'm no slouch at knocking back a lot food). In Switzerland - and Luzern especially - eating out can be expensive. The prices here are so reasonable for VERY generous portions. However, I must say the tacos are one of the best things I've eaten ever and are a MUST try. Halfway between soft & hard shell, homemade to perfection - the beef taco was a triumph in comfort food crossed with fine dining, the beef slow cooked to the point it is so rich it makes you beyond happy. We had them all over again on the 2nd visit and asked for a portion of just beef. 1 month on, and I'm still dreaming of how good they are. Every little touch is great - salads brightened with raspberry balsamic, amazing homemade garlic, BBQ and mango chili sauces, great craft beer, delicious wine, and an awesome laid back & modern vibe. On our first visit, we were lucky to meet Miruna, who we mistakenly thought was a young waitress (whoops!) as she quietly served guests. How wrong we were - Miruna and her sister Ilinca are the inspirational owners who have set up this wonderful, passionate restaurant in the competitive food haven of Luzern and have quickly established a first-class business despite the challenges of launching during Covid restrictions. In a couple of years, they've built a brilliant, tight-knit team of truly skilled staff, serving some of the best food we found in all of Switzerland and they deserve the high ratings they receive. As we enjoyed shots at the bar with them all at the end of the first night (and after Ilinca even came down from her flat at the end of the night to say hello to us!), taking polaroid pictures and exchanging phone numbers, we knew we'd be back a few days later and we know we'll visit again one day if we find ourselves in town. We came home with 3 bottles of their in-house homemade sauces (another triumph) which survived the flight back to the UK and are sat proudly in our fridge as a warm reminder of our favourite night of dining out. We hope to see them all again - Miruna, Ilinca, Norman and Florien. Thank you team for the best time!

Aperitifs are ok but mussels and beef tartare are 👍🏼, inexpensive too! Service is really good and choice of music brings back memories 😉

We stopped here for the day and loved everything about brunch. The food was incredible (chicken wrap and sauces were 🔥). The servers were incredibly helpful. We will definitely be back.

Very good cocktails, friendly staff

Service was good, ambience and mood were also good. The starter (salad) and dessert (gelato) as well as the homemade brioche bread were very good and impressed us. When it came to the crab burger, we found it unpleasant and strange that the crab meat was breaded and fried with the shell on. We ordered one of the two shrimp burgers without caviar, but unfortunately it came without sauce and was therefore a bit dry. The different selection of sauces for the fries was great! All in all good 👍

Norman was the best waiter.. and the food was amazing. My husband and I both got burgers that we will not forget any time soon. Cheers to the staff!

My girlfriend and I had a delicious meal here. We had planned on only having apps, but decided to order entrees as well because the apps were so tasty. We had the summer salad, see the bass, risotto, and short ribs. Everything tasted great and the service was equally good. It’s a little bit away from the restaurants along the river, but certainly a nice place to dine.

One of the best places in luzern to brunch or dinner, the food and the drinks were delicious, the Waffle Burguer is amazing!

Excellent food, atmosphere and service! Highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoyed the patio. Tried appetizers through desserts and favorites were summer salad, sea bass appetizer, and mussels in white wine sauce. Some really unique flavor combinations that worked really well together in a couple of the dishes we tried. Presentation was gorgeous and the owner was there and she came by to check on everything. Our server Norman was absolutely great! The cocktail bar is really pretty inside and I usually have a cocktail but this time i had wine so I can’t rate those but I would try that next time for sure.

The food was stellar, more on that later. First, the quality of service cannot be overstated: Norman was professional, kind, helpful, and funny; and in the short time we met Ilinca she made a great impression as a far more than competent and pleasant presence. The starters (summer salad and a delicious cured sea bass dish) set the scene as a cool, subtle reprieve from a warm summer day. They were followed by big, delicious flavor in the Mussels, rabbit burger, and tuna steak: bold, flavorful dishes - all divine. The night wrapped with an assortment of gelato flavors and Heering Cherry Liqueur. Speaking of, Norman’s wine recommendation of a chilled red local to the region went perfectly throughout the meal and alongside the atmosphere of the restaurant. In all: perfect food, perfect service, I cannot recommend enough.

Went for dinner with a friend, everything was a bit clustered but they were really friendly and nice. The food was great tho!

We booked for lunch based on the amazing reviews we found, however we arrived and only brunch menu was available until 2 pm (other burger options were not available). Food looked good, but taste was so so. Chicken wrap was missing salt, waffles didn’t feel fresh, instead they felt old. The waiter was friendly, the waitress was not so friendly.

Did we order the wrong things?! Our experience certainly didn’t match the many glowing reviews here. Visited for brunch on a Sunday late morning, waited around 50 minutes for our food and sadly it wasn’t worth the wait at all. Only when bringing our two dishes did a colleague apologise and say they had some sort of technical issue. We had wanted the Swiss breakfast but were told it was unavailable. We had the avocado eggs benedict which quickly turned to a plate of soup - the eggs were only just cooked which combined with the avocado (more of a guacamole consistency - slices would have been better) and hollandaise ended up an unappetising mess. The shakshuka was slightly better but with equally undercooked eggs. The two hot chocolates had zero chocolate flavour. Really disappointing for the money - perhaps we were unlucky with our choice of food and day.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Outside there is a very pleasant space. Pleasant musical playlist. We opted for the hamburgers. Fantastic. Including octopus. It's worth coming back!

A lot of fake reviews here. The place doesn't look anywhere as nice as on the photos - it looks like a cheap bar. We had brunch here and the fluffy pancakes were half uncooked. The staff was super nice and apologetic about it, and quickly sent a new plate. Still, wouldn't come back.

Delicious food, I got an amazing recommendation by the service for starter (tartare) and main course (octopus bao bun) paired with the perfect selection of wine, stayed for 3 hours to have also some tasteful cocktails after! Must go if you visit Lucerne!

We went there pretty early for dinner so the place was pretty empty but seemed like a pretty good vibe! We had the tacos and chicken and wagyu burgers. All were very good! I had some dissapointing burgers around here too, this is not that place! Great & friendly service !

This was my favorite meal in Lucerne. Gluten free in Switzerland is not easy, but Risotto is always a good choice. The service was friendly (again, thank you to all in Switzerland who speak English when they don’t have to!) The food was delicious. And my drink was perfect. The place is just the right size, the music was great and I just enjoyed myself all the way around.

Away from the beaten path, we found this restaurant by the suggestion of another restauranteur. A few unusual options on the menu may throw you off at first. But everything we tried was awesome. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the Cheff was great. By the way they have an open kitchen. PS: You need to try their Wagyu Beef Burger.

The outdoor seating space is delightful! Best gluten free crispy chicken we've ever tasted, and the Anton's hot dog - shockingly large and just as delicious. Great service from Miruna and Norman!

First time writing a review. (It wasn't a good experience. Let's leave it at that) I literally asked for an order time for pickup and wanted to know when the kitchen closed(not the dining tables) and the guy slammed the phone in my face!!!

Antons is on a side road a bit removed from the busy part of town. But what it lacks in location it more than compensates with its service. The restaurant has both an outside and inside area. We stayed outside, which was beautifully shaded and decorated. The food was delicious and fresh and the drinks matched it. Definitely worth letting staff advise you on food and beverages - they are knowledgeable and well versed in pairings.

We had an amazing time! We visited the restaurant a few weeks ago with our family. As we had our little son with us, we were seated at a lovely table in the garden. Our favorite dish was the tatar, which we would definitely recommend; it was super fresh, nicely presented, and delicious. Also, there is an exciting selection of burgers. The staff was very attentive and fulfilled all our wishes in a blink. Special thanks to Norman, who made our time unforgetable!:-) Thank you for the great experience; we will definitely visit soon again.

The restaurant has kind of formal seating . I visited here for lunch on a weekday .It's a bit away from Main Street ,I had to walk a bit from Zurich HB . I called for directions and they quickly helped me in English. Only 1 table was occupied when I went for lunch...I opted for Portobello Burger - Crispy Mushroom and wild garlic sauce in gluten free base . It had nice presentation ,was Crispy and had amazing taste .I paid 26 CHF for the same . Norman was exceptionally attentive, when I told him I don't eat bacon he promptly replaced one of the sauces with the burger . Ilinca was also courteous.

The best beef tartare we ever had, a must try. The chicken sandwich was delicious and paired great with the Anton fries. To top it off the service was the most friendliest and attentive, don't miss this hidden gem.

Were here for dinner. Friendly and courteous service. The food was amazing! The only negative thing was that the ANTONS fries were very dry. With a suitable sauce on the side, they would have been much better. All in all, very good, high quality food. Price-performance ratio fits

Cocktails are overpriced. Unfortunately, the fries weren't "crunchy". The ladies at the service were extremely nice and attentive.

If you’re in Lucern (especially if you’re American), do not pass on this place! The food aims to be more American, so it’s a great place to stop by if you’re feeling a bit homesick. The service was excellent, and the food was on par with some of our favorites back home. 10/10 would recommend!

Very friendly and professional. There was a misunderstanding with my burger 🍔but they dealt with it professionally. Do not order a waygu beef burger and ask for the vegetarian version of it… there are probably better vegetarian alternatives 😅 my fault

We went to Antons for brunch. Food was very good, nicely prepared and service was friendly and quick. In summary: great. One star deducted for the coffee. Unfortunately, the aroma and quality of the coffee mixture were not up to par (compared to the food). A pity.

Very attentive and friendly staff. There was some misunderstanding in our order and we were offered a new burger. My husband didn’t want a completely new burger since he knew he could not finish it. At the end we got one burger for free. My fish dish was very good and the portion was big. The pork burger was very delicious too.

Friendly welcome, top service and very fine food

Unfortunately we did not have a great time at ANTONS. Three of the five of us ordered pancakes. We only took a couple of bites and had to stop due to a strange flavor (not really distinguishable) and it was not edible. In this case, the staff was very forthcoming and did not charge us for these dishes. Although I must say that 20 francs for three midsized pancakes is crazy. Coffee was served luke warm. Omlet also arrived luke warm and the poached eggs on toast were almost fully cooked. Presentation looked great but in the end it has to be tasty as well. Staff was very nice.

A little bit of London in Lucerne. Urban and modern style, very fine burgers and a good wine list. You can have any wine by the glass, excellent! Service very high quality and friendly. Gladly again!

Simply the second best ever place in Switzerland! Food is delicious, the team is so caring, the place is also so family oriented, the design is so cosy of this place, amazing cocktails! It is a family run business and you can feel it from each and single detail! Bravoooo!! And I look forward to visit you again..My husband had soft-shell crab burger, myself two starters (burata one and guacamole one), my 7 year old had the wagyo burger.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. You feel good. The waiters are all very nice, but they don't come to the table that often and ask what they want. After clearing away the main course, we were offered nothing more, no coffee, no dessert, nothing. Very unfortunate. The entrée was super tasty. But ordered medium and received rather bi cuit. The potatoes and beans on the side tasted like ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. No spice, nothing. My companion's pumpkin risotto was also very bland. Very unfortunate.
