Super warm and friendly atmosphere in this typical inn. The rooms were full, the specialties (Malakoffs) are real treats (I really almost had some for dessert 😝 but I held on). The staff is charming, smiling, our waitress was great. The (blue) cooking of my beef steak was perfectly executed. The fresh homemade fries and green salad dressing are comforting. The impeccable poles too. We will come back for sure. A reference address for its location and ease of access in addition to everything else! Malakoffement yours. Thank you 🙏🏻

Certainly the best address in Malakoff! In an authentic setting to eat a delicious meal of the legendary and succulent Cheese Fritter. An ultra friendly, fast and organized service. An address to visit if you are passing through the coast.

Very good food and friendly and efficient service

This is the second time I went there and as for the first I really wasn't disappointed, quite the contrary. We were greeted with a smile by the waitresses and we discovered that the restaurant had a terrace with a view of the plain which is very pleasant in summer. Once installed we were taken care of by the incredible Cidaléa, a kindness and humor that unfortunately I have never seen in another restaurant, customer service of unprecedented quality. As for our meal, we took the malakoff menu, their specialty with grisson meat and salad. This evening I only ate quality products from the starter to the dessert including the drinks, from the cocktail to the tangerine lemonade. Not being from the region once again Cidaléa was there to answer all our questions regarding this specialty in a very professional manner. To summarize, I had an excellent evening, I ate well, we were served with great attention, I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. I can't wait to come back and finally manage to beat this malakoff record and get my photo with the incredible Cidaléa!

First time in this restaurant and very good evening. We were welcomed with a smile and good humor from the waitresses. The starter with cold meats was good and the Malakoff dish was very, very good, it's the first time I've eaten it and it's very good. Not being a fan of fried dishes with cheese because they are generally heavy, this time it was quite light. We ate very well and had a very good evening.

Best Malakoff in the world. I need about 3 Malakoff to be happy. But if you're a small person 2 Malakoff might be enough. Each Malakoff costs 7.10chf at current time of this review :) Optionally you can start with the starter with the nice tasty salad at 5chf per person too :) Beware, the local white wine and apple juice might be one of the best in the world too :)

Very good tasting experience for the taste buds!!!! Especially the Malakoffs.

Unfortunately, as we can't speak French perfectly, we were met by a service person who told us that she didn't understand English or even German. Her behavior was very unfriendly, not to say arrogant. The courses were served one after the other; we hadn't yet finished eating the ham when the salad was placed on the table and the Malakoffs were served while we were still eating the salad. The only thing we were given some time for was dessert. Everything was put on the table without a friendly feeling, if you want to put it negatively, slammed. There is something positive: the service staff was consistent in their understanding of the language. She didn't want to understand the tip - formulated in German and then English - and had the number 100 written down on the bill.

If you like Malakoff, this is the place to go. Very good, crispy, runny inside... Good service, very friendly.

For me the best malakoffs in the region, after 3 different malakoff meals in 2 days. Simpler salad but less expensive than the others and very good, you can feel the difference in the bill. Malakoff service from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., what more could you ask for? THANKS !

OK food, abysmal service. The malakoff was nice, the salad and meat were good, and lots of pickles to go with it, but the service was the rudest I've ever experienced. Served by a waitress who was angry that we didn't speak fluent French and were made to feel thoroughly unwelcome - she went so far as to slam food on our table, refuse to give us the wine menu, and not bring us our dessert course. It was so bad I emailed the restaurant but did not get a reply. Only go here if your French is excellent or you want to find out what Basil Fawlty might have been like.

Excellent cuisine to try absolutely

During the first round, the malakoffs were well cooked and succulent, which was unfortunately no longer the case during the following courses.

Too bad, but the Malakoffs served were lukewarm, losing their crunchiness and a very molachon interior, whereas in the past we have always had Malakoffs served hot, even burning hot (coming out of the fryer), crunchy with a runny interior. It seems that today they are prepared in advance and vaguely kept warm. A real disappointment

We asked for a quiet table, in a corner for 3 people, including a 97 year old, wish granted, perfect. Also perfect as perch fillets, fries ***, crunchy vegetables etc. Top service, a very good address.

The reputation of this country restaurant is well established. Yesterday, both the perch fillets and the sliced ​​veal were very good. And the Malakoffs still have no competition. The person who served us was most unpleasant, even dishonest because one person did not want to eat malakoffs. His taunting remarks throughout the evening were not worthy of service staff. Really very disappointed

This was the worst reception and service by the slender middle aged waitress ,short hair cut with glasses called Maria .She ignored us, kept us in a corner with no interest in what we would have liked to drink, other guest were served bread and salad while we sat waiting . We asked if we could move tables in order to have a view. Even though the tables were empty she refused. It might also have been a racial thing maybe she has never seen black people. We asked for the manager and first we were told she/he was upstairs then we were told they were not there. Terrible restaurant take your money somewhere else.

Terrible service. Very unpleasant waitress, Marie. The one with the really short hair. Very impatient and rude. She refused to change our table to another one we preferred when it became available and claimed it was because she had already set up the table we were at. Nothing had been served by then, just cutlery laid altogether for each person on a napkin, nothing too difficult to move. She did not serve us the complimentary bread and salad, but served it to other tables. We had to ask for it from another waitress. Negative and dismissive attitude all through, we had to ask for a change of waitress serving our table. Will not be back

Very beautiful view from the terrace, very pleasant and friendly service. Generous and good quality dishes. A real pleasure. We had a big storm but were able to stay on the terrace thanks to a good quality curtain. The malakofs are excellent and I enjoyed the perch fillets.

Excellent Malakoffs, great service, despite the waitress being unable to advise me on choosing my beer ("I don't drink it so I'm not interested in it"!?! It's still part of her job but anyway ). The roesti on the other hand, I prefer those served at the Luins inn.

The place deserves five stars for the terrace, the service which is always very friendly, the quality of the food, the dynamism and the initiatives (the Malakoffs to take away are magnificent) and the reasonable prices...... but I am nostalgic and a regular of a place which is not far away and which also makes Malakoff. The match is decided on salad and Begnins bacon and I give an advantage to the challenger....But to avoid making anyone jealous, try both, your wallet won't cringe! Closed on monday and tuesday
