Great local restaurant in the centre of the beautiful village of Tannay on the outskirts of Geneva with good food and friendly staff, but a bit pricy.

If I dare to make a very small remark: even if as a vegetarian in French-speaking Switzerland I am already spoiled with an offer on the menu (and the curry is delicious!) - perhaps it would be possible to add more another because I had already eaten exactly the same thing last year...

Whatever dish you choose, it’s a pure delight! Special mention for the perfect egg, the meats and the perfectly cooked sea bream. And what is rare, the accompaniments are very sought after with vegetables or other delicious rostis. The team is attentive and very welcoming. Thank you for this moment!

We randomly ended up booking a room here as it was our first visit to Switzerland and everything about it was wonderful. So wonderful in fact, that we came back and stayed again the following evening .. The Auberge was beautiful , staff so kind, rooms were spotless with nice decor , very well priced , the plaza out front was so cute and bakery nearby delicious and filled with locals . We even lucked out and got to watch a free Jazz concert at a locals mansion down the road. We had a couple of drinks but did not eat however it was busy both nights and the dining room was beautifully laid out.. Definitely recommend Auberge Au Lion d’Or to everyone 🥰

We had dinner there several times. Fish seemed good according to my friends. I had the vegetarian curry that was the only veg option. Curry is very good but you need to ask for it less hot. Only 1 veg dish is one less star. There is no excuse nowadays not to have at least 2 options (and pasta is not an option!) For dessert we had the "fruit glacé" and I must say this is very interesting and good. At last something a bit different from the usual fondant au chocolat.

Very nice hotel I must say and I would have given more stars if only there hadn't been the inconvenience of being able to take a HOT SHOWER on 08 DECEMBER!!! Apparently they had problems with the boiler, a problem which, for goodness' sake, they said, they tried to remedy by having a technician intervene immediately but I still find a problem like this inconceivable in the middle of winter with the cold it is in TANNAY/GENEVA. They compensated us a small amount and at least I appreciated that.

A delightful dining experience in a small village in the Terre Sainte region. Came here last Fall for the chasse and came away incredibly pleased. Will definitely return next year after opening day. Came at lunch time on a Friday and it wasn’t too busy. The way the meat is prepared is first class, extracting all the taste from the deer meat and making full use of it with accompanying side dishes.
