L'Auberge Communale de Corcelles-près-Payerne qui a connu des heures de Gloire vers la fin du XIXe et le début du XXe siècle, à l'heure où le village de Corcelles était l'un des plus forts villages paysans du Canton de Vaud, peine aujourd'hui à trouver ses marques malgré de gros investissements consentis pour les infrastructures. La Grande Salle du village est attenante à l'Auberge, et cette Grande Salle est digne des plus belles. Un grand parking permet d'accueillir de nombreux hôtes sans aucun problème. La salle du restaurant est vaste, en deux parties, et permet de servir menus du jour, pizzeria, ou à la carte. En fait, cette Auberge a connu des mésaventures durant de longues années, où les autorités communales peinaient à trouver un tenancier approprié. La dernière gestion a redressé sensiblement la barre, et à celle en cours, ma foi, nous lui souhaitons un meilleur avenir encore ! Les mets proposés sont de bonne qualité; le patron étant aux fourneaux lui aussi. Attention aux prix, qui doivent demeurer attractif pour des mets de brasserie ou de pizzeria: concurrence oblige ! En sortie de groupe, le service a été très rapide et le repas fut très bon. Filets de perche, d'excellente qualité. Seule petite remarque, les serveuses pourraient être un peu plus souriantes.

Bien pour un bistro de campagne, les pizzas sont assez bonnes et la terrasse est sympa l'été. Parking à proximité et bancomat à l'entrée. Cuisine passable, sans plus (il faut se cantonner aux pizzas). Service relativement bien.
