When you come to this place, you will appreciate the dedicated and friendly service style of the waiters and waitresses! Delicious and beautiful food! The staff is extremely enthusiastic and very friendly! Space always brings you the most comfort possible! This is the restaurant I think of first during holidays in Switzerland and my family's special birthdays! I'm proud because it's a famous restaurant in the pretty village where I live! Thanks to all the service staff for giving me such a comfortable time!

We enjoyed the high quality food and the incredibly attentive service. A place full of friendliness and security. Highly recommended, even if the parking options are special. But perfect support is also offered there. Again and again.

It had been a long time since I had set foot in this restaurant and frankly it was a great success. An absolutely magnificent room (upstairs). Friendly service and a menu that gives pride of place to cuts of meat, cooked in full view of the guests in a gigantic rotisserie. The cooking is perfect and the wine list is not to be outdone, giving pride of place to high-end local wines. Very good desserts also with a delicious Paris Brest.

The welcome and service at the inn is very warm, everyone pays a little attention to you and offers you impeccable quality of service, always with a smile. The quality of the dishes and of the same ilk, the hunting was particularly tasty, a local but inventive cuisine with a touch of modernity. The 18th century building, its old stones and exposed beams are also very welcoming!

The restaurant made some drastic changes and the great ranking was due to previous setup. But be aware that The soul of the restaurant was its star sommelier, best Swiss sommelier in 2015 that created the atmosphere and amazing wine pairing making it worth the trip. This person disappeared and, In my POV, so does the reason to go to this restaurant.

Impeccable dinner! From the excellent food to the excellent wine list. Comfortable and nice location, set in a splendid medieval village. Super ground floor with wooden paneling. A special mention to the room service. The girl who followed us during the evening was superb, super courteous, helpful and full of excellent advice. We felt very humanly welcomed with my family. Unfortunately my review is not positive. Service too, too slow. An hour of waiting from ordering to the arrival of the dish is truly beyond limits. It's a shame because the place is very nice and the staff very kind, but you can't offer a menu with those prices, make people wait an hour and receive a dish that isn't anything special (the grilled meat arrived at the table lukewarm). I expected much more :(

We are welcomed by Romina, smiling, bright, adorable and an expert on the place, she takes us on a journey with the history of this place, which has known stars. I am delighted to learn that Jerome no longer "works" here, he is not a star but a cad, arrogant and far from being an inspiration for the poor employees who said they put up with him.

Superb discovery, delicious dishes, charming setting, accommodating and pleasant staff. We arrived a little late, without a reservation on a Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and they were immediately able to offer us everything we needed to have a good time. We will come back.

I had a delicious lunch here today with two American guests. Everything was great and I highly recommend this wonderful Swiss restaurant. If you want to have an authentic experience in the heart of Lavaux, stop in Saint Saphorin and enjoy their food and atmosphere.

Second time here and it was even better than the first time. Food was beyong amazing from beginning to the end. For starters we got asparagus and sardines from mar cantabrico. For the main we had chateaubriand as a main with gratin potato and frites. Sommelier suggested wines that paired perfectly with our food order. Service was on top of their game as well by being just right amount of attentive. Plan to come back for sure very soon!

The place is idyllic and magical, this dining room on the 1st floor amazes us in advance. In addition, the rotisserie is wonderfully elegant, it also thrills us before the meal. The welcome is of high quality and the staff listen to us, young and dynamic without seeing them too much running, it shows the professionalism of this work. The kitchen... what can I say! But what a marvel for the taste buds and the eyes as beautiful as it is delicious❤️ a pure delight! There was elegance, height and refinement in all the dishes. We were able to find all the tastes without one or the other of the accompaniments taking over. The whole evening was a pure dream 💭. The service was great, the starters were pretty good, but the mains, especially the sides, were disappointing. Nothing was terrible, but the taste simply does not justify the price. I wouldn't come back again.

The service and quality is not up to the stars! For the Chaplin menu, the half-cockerel was closer to the quail than to the real cockerel tasted in other restaurants, it was so small! In addition, the fries were a frozen product, unacceptable for a Gault & Millau establishment. For the service, a clear difference was made between the regulars and the others where the waiter was quick to refill the empty glasses on the other tables. Another unacceptable element is having a chair on which the armrest was broken and the fact that the tablecloths were not changed for new customers.

Very good address in the region, I had an excellent time there on April 8 for a birthday. Pleasant and friendly staff. Very good cuisine, varied menu. Excellent local wines. Great discovery, in this magnificent village of St Saphorin.

A magnificent and unusual place. The staff was smiling and attentive and the sommelier Jérôme offered us an unmissable Chasselas! “La ember d’enfer” 2008 vintage of velvet. The egg starter was subtle in flavor with its mushrooms, a treat for the palate. Risotto remains a nice discovery for me. The lamb meat grilled in the embers is tender and fine on the palate. The least the lemon dessert was good but not tangy enough. I advise everyone to go there with their eyes closed, for the table which is a real discovery, the sommelier who understands your expectations and the staff full of kindness.

We had a very pleasant experience during our dinner - the atmosphere was relaxed, although the place was full. The food was amazing - great taste with some surprising and creative combinations. Jérôme was very friendly and we could also enjoy some chit-chat with him not only about wines. We would definitely come back again when visiting the region!

A nice restaurant in a building with a long history. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and regional. Jérôme is very friendly, open and warm. Unsurprisingly, we received very good wine recommendations from him.

On the positive side, the wine list is incredible and contains almost all our national gems. Most of the dishes are very good. But the cockerel is a bit dry and served without much sauce. The least: presentation is very minimalist. But above all the service is very inconsistent. We had to wait 30 minutes to be served with a drink. Knowing that there were only 2 other tables (of 2 people) occupied is something to be unhappy about, especially on the day of a birthday. The bottle of white arrives 2 minutes after the starters. Then not really time to enjoy until 15 minutes later the main course arrives. Absolutely nothing to enjoy the wines...

Very nice restaurant with exclusive wines from the region. Very good food, friendly service. There are parking spaces (blue zone) on the access road or down by the lake.

This restaurant was introduced on the Labo trekking course, so I stopped by and had a lunch course while trekking. It's the best. They say Switzerland is expensive, but this is an exception. In Korea, even a 100,000 won course wouldn't taste this good. The steak salad was a bit salty, but it was very good because it used fall seasonal ingredients (chestnuts, figs, and sweet pumpkin), and the tiramisu was the best taste of my life! Even though I went alone wearing sportswear, they prepared the food so kindly that I had a happy meal. The best restaurant ever!

A beautiful experience.. Had lunch in the internal room where there is a fireplace on which they cook the meat on the grill.. An amuse-bouche arrived with a very delicate pea mousse.. Started with a truly delicious egg with artichokes and truffle.. We then continued with a dish of Sardinian fregola, cheese and pepper and a meat dish with vegetables.. When speaking about the cherry on top, this is Auberge de l‘Onde. Every course has it‘s special aspects and take you into a new world of culinary. I can only recommend this restaurant to my friends and every employee was extremely nice and fulfilling me every wish. Like a cold espresso with ice on a hot summer day.

celebrities favorite restaurant in geneva area. Food taste was very good and service was awesome. It is hard to get to the restaurant by public transportation unless you have your own rental car. That's why I give 4 stars.

Very good restaurant in this very beautiful village

Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Switzerland (even the best from my point of view). Ideally located in the Lake Geneva region, the menus are defined according to the season and thus allow you to discover new dishes. I thank the entire Auberge team for your exceptional services and full of kindness.

Having come to this establishment about 5-6 years ago, we were delighted to come back to spend a nice evening with friends and to introduce them to this place. Unfortunately, a lot has changed since then: - the quality of the food absolutely does not reflect the prices charged (the prime rib did not taste like roast, the taste of the langoustines was extremely bland and did not "match" the food, the chocolate dessert was really without more, not too much taste,….) - really exaggerated waiting time - staff not up to standard and very arrogant (for almost an hour, no server bothered to know if everything was okay and to clear the aperitif glasses lying on the table and when we kindly asked to clear it out, the sommelier looked at me very badly, no one came to collect the crumbs from our table unlike the neighboring tables, just like the sweets served at coffee time only for the other tables, etc….) It should be noted that the type of service was very different at neighboring tables which, obviously, were loyal customers of the establishment. All these little details are very important when you display prices like this! The only positive thing about the evening was the company of the people at the table. We left with a very bad memory, we will not come back!

The setting is charming and the food is good for the price. Despite everything, a few points offended me: - the risotto was really al-dente, almost crunchy - the service was not the most pleasant. We came from Lausanne to celebrate my partner's admission to the ETHZ, and I really had the feeling of being a nuisance when I asked for a little attention to the plate. We used to go there for years, unfortunately both the quality of the cuisine and the staff are not what it used to be. Last experience was simply not tolerable, we won’t come back and will choose other great options in small villages around

We were there twice... unfortunately both had the same mediocre experience. Why unfortunately? Because the chef and his team are very talented. The food is very good and also the price/performance ratio. What doesn't work at all is the stuffy to snooty and mediocre service that chases you through the menu... A wine list where vintages or bottles are not there, you are told a bear about Parker Point, etc. There are better alternatives in Lavaux where everything is right.

Upon request, a vegetarian alternative that was not on the menu was offered, which was excellent and in no way seemed like an emergency solution!

Nous avions un bon souvenir malheureusement nous ne viendrons plus et ne le recommanderons pas non plus.Dès notre arrivée nous avons dû attendre, les serveurs, le maître d’hôtel passaient à nos côtés sans s’arrêter. Nous avons dû un arrêter un pour enfin commander. Les temps d’attente étaient vraiment exagérés, la même chose s’est produite encore au dessert et pour le paiement. 25 minutes pour l’arrivée du dessert et pratiquement 20 minutes pour pouvoir payer alors que le maître d’hôtel s’était arrêté avec la machine à nos côtés, puis était reparti sans raison pour ne plus revenir. Nous avons encore une fois dû appeler. Nous n’avons pas eu de mignardises contrairement aux autres tables...Monsieur Aké, bien que connaisseur, est avare en paroles, il faut le prier pour qu’il donne des explications sur le vin. C’est vrai, il verse de manière abrupte et nonchalante en giclant quelques gouttes sur les clients.Que se passe-t-il dans cette équipe de salle? Une mauvaise ambiance est palpable...Dommage car les plats étaient très bons, mais relativement chers.C’était le premier dimanche de réouverture et au lieu d’être les bienvenus nous avions l’impression d’être de trop!

In St Saphorine, in the middle of beautiful Lavaux region, and the magnificent Geneva Lake in front. Menu is classy (fish and meat) and price (for Swiss standard) reasonable. It is said to be the favorite place for Charlie Chaplin. It’s got rotisserie and brasserie, in different floors, and with different menus.

Ah, que dire... allez y en été, réservez votre table sur la terrasse en pleine "rue "centrale adossée à l'église, vous y écouterez la fontaine, choisirez sur la carte, vous laisserez guider par l'excellent sommelier et serez bien.

Food ok, ripped off by the wine pairing

Avons passé une soirée entre amis dans ce joli cadre au premier étage. Belle salle et très joli menu à fr. 88.—. Plats savoureux, bien servis, bon rapport qualité-prix. Grosse déception sur la vente de vins et surtout leur forfait à Fr. 60.— par personne pour 3 verres de vins. Ce qui fait fr 20.— le dL. Du jamais vu pour ma part !! Une fois le menu choisi, Monsieur Aké ne se prend aucune peine pour nous proposer quoi que ce soit et nous dit, c’est selon mon karma. Il nous sert des vins de façon très nonchalante, tenant la bouteille par le bas de la bouteille et en reversant systématiquement quelques gouttes à côté de chaque verre ! On peine à connaître les vins bu en fin de chAque plat. Il ne nous a jamais parlé du forfait qui pour moi est hors de prix !!! Ce monsieur a très probablement une excellente connaissance du domaine, mais aucune expérience du service, ni de la manière de traiter les clients. Les deux autres personnes au service très sympathiques et serviables. Cependant il est dommage dans un tel cadre et avec un tel menu de débarrasser par la gauche du client.

Rapport qualité-prix excessivement. La cuisine peine à se renouveler et la carte des vins est réduite à sa plus implement expression. Les prix paraissent délirants: comme beaucoup de personnes qui aiment pourtant beaucoup ce bel établissement, je n’y retournerai plus.

Attente très longue ( 1 heure) entre l’entrée et le plat. Pas de mise en bouche comme indiqué sur le menu. L’explication donnée par le chef était à la limite de la politesse. Les plats sont trop chers par rapport à la qualité..0n reste sur sa faim au niveau gustatif et la mauvaise ambiance qui règne entre le chef et le personnel n’arrange rien. Seul le vin était excellent. Bref une expérience coûteuse et médiocre qui n’est pas à la hauteur de la réputation de ce restaurant

Pas de mise en bouche contrairement à ce qui est indiqué sur le menu. Explications du chef qui ne tiennent pas la route :"On ne les donnes pas à midi car ça rallonge le service, et elles ne sont pas facturées...." Le montant figurant sur la note n'a pourtant pas été revu à la baisse.Nous sommes arrivés à 13h00 et avons quitté la table à 15h40 ! Plus de 2 heures et demies pour manger une entrée, un plat un dessert, sans prendre de cafés, car pressé de quitter cet endroit pour avoir mangé une cuisine quelconque dans une mauvaise ambiance.Nous ne reviendrons pas et ne recommandons pas cet endroit.

Der Empfang begann etwas snobistisch: Könnte es sein, dass wir nach einer Lavaux-Weinprobe als unterkleidete wahrgenommen wurden?Wenn Sie es sich jedoch bequem gemacht haben, ist das mit Abstand größte Juwel hier die Speisekarte! So unglaublich originell! ! Nachdem ich die anfängliche Überraschung (Ärger?) Überstanden habe, die Klassiker verpasst zu haben, und mir etwas Zeit genommen habe, was auf der Speisekarte stand, kann ich wirklich sagen, dass das, was der Küchenchef vorschlägt, äußerst originell ist: aber nicht nur das, es hat fantastisch geschmeckt! (Langustinen waren nicht von dieser Welt). Der Küchenchef zeigt echtes Interesse an seinen Gästen, das Essen war super (und originell !!) Der Wein (wie zu erwarten) extrem gut und die Umgebung wunderschön. Ich muss bald wieder zurück sein! !

14h30 un dimanche après-midi, on passe devant, sur la terrasse 2 tables de vide. Nous demandons s’il est possible de s’assoir pour manger un dessert seulement. Réponse du serveur: non c’est un restaurant allez au café du raisin voisin, ici la cuisine est fermée, et de plus avec le COVID on ne fait plus ça. Il faut préciser qu’aux tables occupées les convives étaient encore en plein repas. Leur répondra-t-il que la cuisine est fermée une fois le temps du dessert arrivé ? Le COVID est décidément prétexte à tout est n’importe quoi. Moi qui ai cru que ces restaurants avaient souffert durant le confinement, ils ne cherchent visiblement pas à travailler plus que ça ni à plaire aux clients comme nous qui n’auront certainement pas envie d’y retourner pour un repas complet.

Très bonne cuisine, bon accueil mais prix surfait pour le menu de midi et à charger soit même covid oblige. Menu forcement pas à jour et déçu des quantités on est resté sur notre faim surtout pour le prix payé. On y retournera pas.

Wir gingen auf Empfehlung dorthin und nachdem wir herausgefunden hatten, dass Chaplin jede Woche dort war. Überrascht, dass er tatsächlich keine Hinweise auf ihn sieht.Ich habe per E-Mail auf Englisch gebucht und wurde umgehend beantwortet. Die Kellner sprachen oder wollten jedoch kein Englisch, was heutzutage entweder absichtlich anmaßend oder unmöglich zu glauben ist. Das Menü ist auch nur in Französisch. Trotzdem war das Essen sehr gut und unsere Weinauswahl war nicht verfügbar. Das Steak war perfekt zubereitet. Der berühmte Sommelier sagte Hallo, aber das war es für uns. Ich hatte zunächst keine Ahnung, dass er der Sommelier war. Der Service ist schäbig. Wenn Sie Käse bestellen, gibt es normalerweise eine kurze Erklärung und nicht nur das Plonken des Tellers vor Ihnen. Das Innere im Obergeschoss ist schön gemacht und wenn Sie einen seltenen Blick auf das Fenster haben, tun Sie dies. Ich würde sagen, dass sie ihren Ruf weiter ausbauen und dadurch den Sinn für Kundenservice verlieren.

Die Auberge de l'Onde befindet sich in einem sehr hübschen Straßendorf. Saphorin, nicht weit von Vevey. Es bietet sehr gutes Essen in einer Brasserie und Rotisserie. Wir hatten das Mittagsmenü zu einem sehr fairen Preis von CHF 59 mit einer Vorspeise marinierter Fera du L Man, einem Hauptbestandteil des täglichen Fangs vom Genfer See, und einem Dessert vom Typ Sabayon. Unsere Tochter hatte die 63. 2 Ei als Vorspeise und Rindertartar als Hauptgericht. Alles schön. Das Restaurant ist bekannt für seinen Sommelier, der ursprünglich aus der Elfenbeinküste stammt und Experte für Schweizer Weine und insbesondere Chasselas aus Lavaux ist. Am Tag unseres Besuchs wurde die Weinkarte jedoch stark reduziert, da der Keller des Restaurants neu organisiert wird. Wenn Sie im Oktober oder November 2020 gehen, werden Sie einige alte Jahrgänge guter Lavaux-Winzer sowie ein oder zwei Coche Dury zu einem sehr guten Preis entdecken. . .

1ère expérience dans cette auberge, terrasse bucolique au milieu du village, excellents plats (écrevisse, puis fera du lac notamment) préparé par un jeune chef talentueux et des vins remarquables provenant de différents horizons, local et ailleurs, proposé par le sommelier maître d'hôtel Jérôme Aké Beda, grande classe.Service attentionné et efficace.Etablissement très recommendable.

Sehr netter Empfang, schöne Aussenterrasse mit Blick auf die Kirche. Das Menü de l‘Onde ist für den Preis von CHF 59 von hervorragender Qualität, top-frisches Hecht-Caspaccio, Kalbs-Schnitzelstreifen mit Auberginen und zum Abschluss ein unvergleichlich leichtes Caramel-Dessert. Dazu eine tolle Weinempfehlung zu einem sehr vernünftigen Preis. Top-Adresse!

Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass wir in die Provence gebracht wurden - eine schmale, gepflasterte, abfallende Straße vom örtlichen Platz in einem kleinen, alten, atmosphärischen und malerischen Dorf, aber die Straße - Saphorin - Lavaux im UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe Lavaux mit seinen kaskadierenden Weinbergen und der spektakulären Aussicht auf den See. Food was not bad. But the service was Terrible! The staff's attitude was extremely ignorant and cold as if we as guests owed them something. The overall experience was really not pleasant to dine there. I will not go there again.
