Disastrous service, inedible meal, uncooked fries. The waiter removed the tomato from my plate with his fingers because even after telling them that I was allergic to tomatoes I had some on my plate… we had to serve the wine ourselves without letting us taste the bottle and we waited 1 hour between the salad and the meal…. My friend had steak tartare and was sick all weekend…. However, this restaurant has a good reputation…

We ate an excellent venison hunt at the Auberge du Cheval Blanc d’Echallens served by a friendly young girl. After a pleasant appetizer, the magnificent dish of saddle flambée delights our eyes and our taste buds! a real treat to repeat as soon as possible

Disappointed, very disappointed! 😞 Just look at the products in one of the photos of the hunting menu. Cold apple cut in half and wilted with jam, chestnuts heated and black on one side. Meat ok. The missed dessert for a menu close to 70.-

We discovered this restaurant thanks to the gourmet passport and it was a very nice surprise. We had an excellent evening. Everything is perfect from starters to dessert. The staff were attentive, attentive and extremely kind. The dish was hearty and delicious. We highly recommend and thank the Auberge for this welcome.

The first time we are so well served with the gourmet passport. And the dishes were more than good! The menus for children are huge so just be careful with little eaters.

The amicable, we phoned to reserve a table saying 2 adults and a child on the terrace and when we arrived we found ourselves at a table with partial sun. We decided to go in but of course there was no more room..... for the next reservations with people who have children thought of putting them in the shade.

The daily menus are very good with lots of choice of fish paste meat. Sometimes if there are a lot of people the service is quite slow.

July 2023: still as good and well served! Nice terrace, very pleasant service. Lovely salads, excellent meal, vittello, fish, and the rest too!

Very good restaurant, nothing to complain about, only the waiter, a gentleman of a certain age, should reconsider his friendliness instead of making a 3-kilometer head and "throwing the dishes" to customers without saying a word. Sincerely disappointed after the Covid we tried to support the restaurants in the region and this evening yes it's late but we were received like dogs in a bowling game. They tell you there is room but in the end there isn't any. The waitress apparently didn't want to be friendly. Fortunately there are still restaurants in Echallens which are welcoming even at 9 p.m.

We ate the tartare yesterday which was good. The prices are fair and the service is as usual very good. For the record, I forgot my card holder and only realized it this morning. (we were the last customers to leave) I thank our server Claude who, after a phone call, offered to bring it back to me in Lausanne - which saved me a lot of time. This gesture speaks volumes about the kindness and helpfulness of this restaurant and its staff. :)
