We ordered Baba Oriental for the first time online. It got delivered within 20 minutes! The food had a really nice packaging and was still warm. We had a Falloumi and a Fallafel Pita. Both were tasty, had fresh vegetables inside and the pita bread was incredible! But the fries were really a show stopper! Really good seasoning. If I would have to name ome little downer it would be, that the pitas were a bit blant. But nevertheless 10/10 we will order again & definitly visit the restaurant too.

Really flavorful food, not too pricy, a lot to eat, in a nicely decorated place and friendly staff. Really glad we went there for our lunch, and there is a large choice of veggie dishes. Pitas with Falafel and Halloumi were amazing

This place serves insanely tasty food!!! No cap! We ate here one night on our one day trip - we found the place randomly, on google maps. Never heard of a Falloumi before - but i regret nothing for getting that. Falloumi is a combination of falafel and halloumi - and we had it as a wrap. It was genius. Every bite was a heavenly experience. Not joking. If I get back in Luzern - I must return here. It was insanely good. And also, the vibe of the place is really nice.

The three of us made a reservation at 6 p.m. We received a wobbly mini table on which it would hardly have been possible to eat several mezze plates due to lack of space. It was already clear that the store should be packed to optimize profits. Accordingly, the atmosphere was anything but comfortable. Our kombuchas were “served” in PET bottles over the counter without glasses by the head of the house. We were lucky and were able to grab a free table next to us a little later and were able to order mezze plates as starters. We then waited over an hour for our food. The young, completely inexperienced waitresses then brought our food, but they had no idea and didn't even know what they were serving us. From our point of view, the manager of the house didn't have the shop under control. That was all a shame because the food was generally delicious.

There were three of us for dinner and we were given a small table for two. The mezze platters we ordered had no space on the table so we had to put them on our benches, which is not very customer friendly but just ensures the restaurant is full. Food was average and of the three pitas we ordered, two were so charred that we couldn't eat them. We then said that we would only pay for a pita, which was accepted, but we would have expected that the service itself would suggest it or that it wouldn't even be served.

Nice restaurant for vegetarian food. The portion size is big and the prices for the food is fair. The tea is a bit overpriced. Our meals were delicious. The interior is nice and makes for a comfortable atmosphere.

Everything was perfect. The appetizers, kebab and falafel were very good. If you want to try the real tastes of Turkish cuisine abroad, you should definitely try this place. The warm pita and buttermilk that came with the kebab took us to Turkey. A must-try flavor feast for vegetarians. A complete f/p restaurant with its prices, portions, taste and atmosphere

A visit to BaBa Lucerne was disappointing due to unfriendly service and lack of consideration of a concern about a dish that contained an intolerable spice. Despite the meal being barely touched, the dish was charged in full and only reduced after discussion. Hope to improve customer service.

We went to BaBa quite spontaneously and despite many reservations they managed to organize a table for us. The food was incredibly tasty and very authentic! The selection is huge and in addition to filled pitas, you can also order bowls and individual mezzes. From our table we could see directly into the kitchen and watch the pita breads being freshly baked and then filled. Despite the large number of guests, the staff was very friendly, attentive and repeatedly asked about our well-being. We thought the price range was great and we will definitely come back when we are in Lucerne again.

Far too long waiting times for food and drinks.

The pitas are delicious straight from the oven. The falafel are not dry and the halloumi is crispy and not rubbery. Highly recommended as an inexpensive lunch.

The food was okay, although the veggie kebab was quite spicy, which wasn't on the menu. The portions were large, but the taste itself was rather unspectacular. Additionally, the service was very confusing and inattentive. I also personally find the drink prices questionable. Five francs for Çay is a bit high. The ambience and furnishings are very nice and aesthetic.

A real find! This is highly recommended. Nice and cozy restaurant with service minded and dedicated staff. I had the Baba Bowl. A real feast of tastes with nicely balanced flavours. Personally, I could have had the whole thing a bit stronger. The pita bread is freshly baked and comes piping hot. Good, but thought they would have been even better if they were thinner and a little more crispy,

Food is great with good portion. However it does not feel like a restaurant rather a take out store as you need to order at the cashier and you get your food served on a tray.

Delicious vegetarian foods. Pitas are handmade very big and tasty. Should be tried.

Perfect meal at BaBa. A huge menu with a range of food and drinks. We went for mezze including falafels, hummus, and more. Staff were really helpful accomodating us (English speakers) and providing menu recommendations. Highly recommended the house ice tea - delicious. The interior decor is warm and cosy with large glass windows at the front to watch the street.

Perfect, 200% recommended. Keep it up and we'll always be happy to do it again :-)!

Wow! The flavours were just amazing. Pics are of the Falloumi pitta, planted kebab bowl and muhammara. The muhammara lacked flavour and didn't come with any bread but the other dishes were great. We will definitely be back!!

Everything in my baba bowl was amazing and fresh!! Falafel was very crispy, kebaps were well seasoned, the hummus’ was awesome especially the beetroot one. This was a lot of food for a good price. Would definitely come here again!

The restaurant is within 5 minutes by foot from the main train station. The food is delicious (I'd recommend the Halloumi Pita) and the prices are fair. The restaurant is decorated in an oriental style and the ambiente ist cosy. The owner of the place is really kind and so is the staff. After the meal we were offered tea by the owner.

This restaurant has been around for about three months. And we are thrilled with every visit. It's incredibly delicious. The best oriental restaurant there is!! The pita bread is freshly prepared in front of the customers and with every bite you can taste the excellent quality and care behind it. The store is very clean. There is also a pleasant culinary atmosphere. When you enter the store, you feel like you are in an oriental country!! The staff is very friendly and you immediately feel welcome. The passion of the staff and management is reflected. What I really like are the bowls they serve. Very delicious! I have never seen such bowls with oriental delicacies! Very creatively designed. The Homemade Ayran is a perfect combination. Very fine restaurant with a diverse selection and different qualities. BaBa is another level! (There is also a BaBa Kebap in the Emmencenter, which is also highly recommended!)

The food was incredibly delicious! Especially the pita kebab and fries. Unfortunately the outside area on the street is a bit noisy, but the inside is wonderful! Plus, the food is really not expensive.

I recently dined at this delightful Oriental restaurant right in the city center. They had different pittaria options, including falafel, halloumi, planted and more and the food was very flavorful and fresh. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant's ambiance, with lovely music and beautiful decor, was enchanting. This place is definitely worth a visit for a delicious dinner, lunch. Wonderful gem around the corner from the busy tourist traps. Recommend getting mezzo for a range of flavours. Three mins walk from the Chapel Bridge. Go for it.

Called the owner to ask if the meat is halal, his reply was that I should not ask him if it’s halal or not. Who should I ask then the cow/ chicken? Very rude person. So watch out my fellow muslim brothers and sisters!

I'm not sure why this is called an "Oriental" restaurant -- it's definitely middle-Eastern. Excellent falafel pita, and attentive service.

Exactly what Lucerne was missing. The food was excellent and I think the concept of all vegetarian dishes being offered is very cool. Service was very friendly and served a fine “tea” as a “dessert”. The ambience was great with the furnishings and the open kitchen. Prices are also reasonable for the portion size (you'll definitely be full).

Oh my God! What a wonderful place. It’s so gratifying to eat such a soulful food. They have so many options and every meal is fresh and colourful. If you are in Lucerne, definitely head to this place and you will not regret it. ❤️

Had Shakshuka with falafel, homemade pita and the house iced tea for a total of 27.-. Super tasty, super friendly service. Background music is certainly a matter of taste, but it fits the atmosphere. I would love to come back :-)

BaBa’s was right nest door to our Hotel so we stopped in to see what was on the menu. Ali, took time in translating the menu for us and we decided to come back for dinner. The restaurant has indoor and outside seating and is beautifully decorated. It is simple and elegant. On to the food! Ali recognized us and came over to greet us. We ordered the BaBa Bowl on his suggestion and a Falafel Pita. The bowl was so BEAUTIFUL, other diners asked what it was. The bowl also came with handmade Turkish bread that was delicious. Both meals were enormous portions and by far the best food we’d eaten in 2 weeks in Switzerland. I make much of this food myself and grew up eating it… their food is amazing and if I lived closer I’d be eating there often. This is centrally located and a gem in Luzern. Do yourself a favor and have lunch or dinner here. You will love it!

A beautiful Turkish restaurant, with mouth watering food and beautiful flavours. The price was good, the staff were wonderful!!! So kind and proud of their work. One member talked us through how to make shakshuka because it was his favourite. We got a falloumi pitta, shakshuka, baba bowl, hummus and fattoush salad. The fresh made pitta was so tasty and went well with the hummus. Would love to go back multiple times and try everything. What a gem!
