A visit to the Rudolf Rothen bakery, Elm GL is highly recommended, as you can still get fresh 🍞 from Begg there! Ruedi does his work with ❤️ and joy, and the staff is also very friendly. This is one of the main reasons I like Elm and why it is special- a traditional artisanal bakery run by a couple- he is the baker and she sells and does much else. Wonderful top quality traditional breads and rolls and tasty, traditional and also inventive pastries . The best “birebrot”(pear bread) I have had in Switzerland. A place to experience on any visit to the Sernftal (Chylytal). And in a beautiful setting right next to the tourist office!

Two very well-positioned ladies explained the products to us and also gave us a piece of cake to try. Very good bread + cake and the vanilla cream is also said to be very tasty. ☺️ Go in and try it for yourself, it's worth it!

Nice family business with excellent Glarner pear bread

Very good almond croissants, nut bars, Beggäli, cream slices, ....The best Biräbread I know.
