Bäckerei Steiner in Solothurn

Unfortunately I was only visiting Solothurn, otherwise I would be a regular guest in this great café: delicious lunch, short waiting time, absolutely great and very friendly service. The lady with the light, long, tied hair enjoys working here - the guest can feel it! The only (very small) criticism: I found it difficult to eat from a bowl instead of a plate. It looks good, but it takes ages to get everything clean.

The good location is certainly not the reason why I always come here or get bread or lunch here. The products are simply great and seasonal specialties always entice you.

This was once the best baker on the board. Since switching to Steiner Bakery I have only been disappointed. The sandwiches are prepared carelessly and taste less good than if you made them yourself. It's actually a shame, the previous owner Trüssel was always my No. 1 in Solothurn. Today I tried it again. The egg sandwich only had a maximum of 1/2 egg in the middle. And even if no one would admit it, I am quite sure that the bread used was from the previous day. Bread from the lecture was definitely one too many. It was the last time I was in this store.

It's always a pleasure to see, buy and enjoy at home the beautifully and deliciously prepared dried pieces, raspberry slices and currently Christmas cookies. All other products are also wonderfully fine, and the service and staff are unrivaled top class! Everything is simply experience and enjoyment! A pity. The requirement for customers and staff to wear masks affects the ambience. I praise the canton of Bern: you can (still) smell the bread and confectionery. This is a different shopping experience.

Hearty little coffee with a pastry shop. Friendly staff. Good coffee and great offer. Parking options on site are very limited. Public transport nearby. about 5 minutes from the main train station. Located about 2-3 minutes walk from the Aare.

Very friendly service at the counter and in the waiting room. The baguettes are fresh and crispy - above all delicious. All breads/sandwiches can also be topped as desired. The bread is excellent and the bread sandwiches are enormous and have plenty of toppings. Definitely top in Solothurn!
