We have been ordering our cakes there for certain occasions for several years and, even recently, every one of our wishes was fulfilled excellently. You can tell how it is prepared with love. I can really only recommend the photo cakes! The hammer! Thank you Wälchli team!

This Saturday, February 17th, 2024, I ordered a surprise package from Too Good to Go! We wanted to try the new bakery! The pickup time was from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m We got there just under two minutes to four o'clock! That is certainly very close!! The shop door was already locked and the two saleswomen were busy cleaning up! We then knocked, they looked at us but didn't respond! After knocking again the two started to discuss!! I showed the Too good to go APP with my order! One person then willingly got the things and quickly opened the window! We were greeted with the words it was closed! By now it was 4 p.m. sharp We mentioned that the pickup time was until 4 p.m. and we were there before then!! Your clock on the checkout would be 4 p.m. and then it would be closed! Now the big shop clock didn't have four yet! The two saleswomen were very unfriendly! The first impression definitely failed! I don't know if we'll go there again! It's a shame because the shop actually looked very "smart"!!

I bought 3 cakes yesterday. I pre-ordered 2 and bought one from the cooler. Unfortunately, I also received the cakes I pre-ordered frozen!! I had to serve frozen cake to 15 people because I didn't have any other cake! In the evening I wanted my other guests to have 3 cakes from the cooler. (It was said to take it out of the cooler 3 hours before serving. I did that too) serve (vanilla chocolate) which ran before I wanted to cut it. A catastrophe. I am very disappointed. 3 cakes 36 Fr each and something like that. It doesn't work at all! Then I'd rather buy at Migros or Coop again. They are cheaper and better!

A lovely, beautiful place, the cappuccino excellent, the staff super attentive and pleasant... not recommended for a break in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Well the food is rather expensive for what is on offer. I can get a little more for my money elsewhere. Unfortunately, what has been noticeable since the Aarau train station reopened is the unfriendly service. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. I just wanted a croissant at 9:15. Can't smell that it doesn't have any anymore. But the main thing is that I was yelled at.

This bakery has many gluten-free products. I love the gingerbread, rascals, muffin etc. as homemade. A must when I'm in Aarau!!

The boss's style leaves a lot to be desired. This is a café with a bakery in a cantonal capital or at a very important train station and not in any village. Appropriate treatment is expected.

Very RUDE SERVICE! 1. WELCOME THE CUSTOMER in a friendly manner. 2. At least LOOK THE CUSTOMER IN THE EYES when you ask them to wait. 3. If you maintained eye contact, you could see that the customer was NOT trying to bail out before the payment went through. 4. You say GOODBYE TO THE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY and don't ignore them. Here is my experience this morning (November 20th, 2023, at around 10:20 a.m.): Today I had 4 minutes before I had to get on the next train. I was the only customer in the store before the others came in. Her employee didn't even look up and told me half-heartedly "I'll be with you in a moment" and continued to arrange her croissants. I was obviously pressed for time and when she finally finished rearranging her croissants, she turned to me. Please note: No eye contact and NO greeting. When I paid for my goods with the card, I took my sandwiches and took two steps, then I slowed down because I noticed that the payment hadn't gone through yet. At that moment she raised her eyes for the first time, and it was very, very unfriendly, and with a raised voice she almost warned me that I shouldn't run away because the payment hadn't gone through yet. I then told her that I had seen it. At the same time the payment came through and she completely ignored me, stopped looking at me and moved on to the next customer. That was an absolute disgrace. I work in the same industry and know that there are days when you don't feel good enough to put on a fake smile or make small talk. But THE MINIMUM is to SERVE CUSTOMERS WITH DECENTNESS. I expect this review to be shown to this employee personally.

The Wälchli bakery in Aarau A small, newly renovated bakery in Aarau train station, where I regularly buy a Berliner when I have to change trains. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The service there is also very quick and there is a huge selection of baked goods. The quality is simply 1a. Thank you very much and keep it up 😀😀😀😀

Unfortunately there is no vegan sandwich in the range! I would like to support bakeries and their crafts, but as long as they have the same offering as they did 20 years ago, it is impossible. So I had to go to the nearby Coop to stock up on a plant-based snack. Dear Wälchli team, is it so difficult to offer a plant-based sandwich? There are great meat & cheese alternatives on the market!

Was there for coffee on Friday. On the table there were delicious cherry mousses to try. I then wanted to buy one of these. However, the listless saleswoman didn't know what exactly I wanted. She asked me unkindly "what is that kischschümli?" I told her what was on the table. Her colleague, also listless, didn't know either what I meant. It's bad when the staff doesn't know what they're selling.

I really like the new branch and I'm very happy with what's on offer. It would just be nice if the staff knew the difference between a nut and an almond topping. I have ordered an almond croissant three times since it opened and was disappointed to find that I was packed with a nut croissant each time (by different employees).

You will be served faster at the counter in the store than at the “quick window”. Some of the staff were unfriendly in the morning. Price-performance: expensive for the quality/size of sandwiches and pastries.

I just buy this afternoon and it was on the glass display it says that fresh! she pack it in the carton pack, And when i got home 1hour later when i slice it its Frozen. You should train your staff how to be friendly and let your customer knows if fresh or frozen. Not satisfied

"Wälchli - because baking needs experience" The experience is missing, because good bread tastes much better. The Doppelbürli you bought is reminiscent of rolls from German Aldi and Lidl for 29 cents. Croissants are also below the level of gas station products. The only good thing is the pretty shop with a supposedly large selection.

The rolls are dry and so are the croissants. The bread is okay. The biggest disappointment, however, is the meat sold: it says “from the region” in large letters. We really make sure to buy meat locally or at least from Switzerland. At home, the disillusionment upon closer inspection: The meat comes from Brazil and Ireland, it is only produced in the region.

Nice new shop, it has everything you need to satisfy your hunger and also a small souvenir, friendly service and much more when you're at the train station, go in and enjoy

(7.4.22 approx. 5.45 p.m.) A very, very unfriendly woman (I think Ms. Eichenberger, if that's okay with me) was selling. Paying without contact always works with my card. That's exactly where it didn't work. I tried 4-5 times and every time I took the card away she snapped at me IT DIDN'T WORK!!!!!😡 Eventually it worked and I got my sandwich. But this had probably been there all day because the bread that was supposed to be crispy was very soft and had very little content!!! I was VERY dissatisfied😠😤

Friendly service. High quality, always fresh, tasty products. Price performance is ok. The shop is currently a professional shop based on the new Wsb train station building. Corona measures are adhered to. Anyone who relies on quality and handmade tradition from the baker should shop at Wälchli.

Received wrong sandwich. Proud price for a small sandwich... The cheese rolls, on the other hand, are good and justify the price... Expectations only partially fulfilled. It is questionable whether I will go by again in the future. Due to the current circumstances, there isn't much choice left for lunch and, as we know, the canteens are closed.

The quality of the goods is very good. The staff Ms. Eichenberger was very unfriendly. My order was determined to go from the outset, so the environmental issue will not improve. So I'm sitting at the table in the bakery with my Café Late and a roll with a paper cup and a bag.

Every Wednesday Berliner Stand stands in the way (all year round!). Anyone who buys something here has no taste but a lot of money. The quality of neither the Berliners nor the bread is good. Sales assistants have already been assessed by predecessors and fit perfectly into the overall image of the store. It's a shame that better bread isn't available at Aarau train station. I can buy the same quality at Coop or Migros and cheaper.

I got the wrong coffee and unfortunately only noticed it on the train. I've noticed several times that the older lady with short brown hair and glasses has difficulty hearing. She has to ask several times or sometimes seems to forget what was ordered.

CHF 5.80 for a sandwich with chopped egg. Filling puny and sauce below average, bread was probably older. Neither the quality nor the price/performance were right. The waitress was also hardly willing to briefly stop a parallel conversation with a colleague. Conclusion: not recommended, lives probably from one-off casual customers. A pity.

Caution !!!!! The slightly older saleswoman with glasses and dark hair is very cheeky with the customers. Big surprise today: "Unfortunately the main store didn't have time for your order!" and I now have a grief-stricken 9-year-old who is missing cake for his birthday.
