The soups at Bahnhöfli are absolutely amazing, especially the potato cream soup. But points restaurants have to dress very warmly here. Everything else is at the top level.

A few days ago I had lunch in the shady garden of the Bahnhöfli restaurant in Oberwinterthur. The tables and chairs differ in everything, just like in Villa Kunterbunt. There were only a few people there, I was served very quickly and friendly. A short time after the drink I receive my cucumber salad with rocket and fresh bread in a red cloth bag. I hadn't finished my salad yet and the waitress was already standing next to me with my main course (ravioli with a light cream sauce and tomato topping). She looked at me so helplessly and helplessly that I allowed her to put the plate somewhere on the table. When I was able to concentrate on the main course, it was still just lukewarm. The espresso at the end was hot and good. The food was OK, not seasoned enough, not salted enough, cream sauce watery, ravioli not hot, service friendly.

The food was very good, including vegetarian options. The meat was exceptionally good and the service was nice. The desert is fine. Lots of coups.

The Bahnhöfli Oberi is my favorite restaurant in Winterthur. Since I (still) live on a subsistence level, I can rarely go out to eat, but when I do, it's good. Mother invited me to dinner yesterday and so we were guests in the evening. Although it wasn't our first time visiting the Bahnhöfli Oberi, we were impressed by the charm and of course the food again. I was very stressed in the afternoon and hadn't eaten anything properly. But when we sat down under the cooling plane trees in the garden restaurant, which is very carefully and comfortably designed, and were served in a very friendly and attentive but yet uncomplicated manner, I felt really comfortable. The garden pub is wonderfully protected from heat and strong sunlight by a hedge and a shady "cover of leaves" from the plane trees. Red, green and blue lamps are mounted on the plane trees, which provide a pleasant light when it gets dark. The other guests seemed to be engrossed in quiet but cheerful conversations, which created a very comfortable atmosphere. You feel like you're in a little oasis in the middle of the hectic world. Mother and I both ordered boiled meat salad. I garnished, mother didn't garnish. We were both really impressed with the salad plates we were served. Both the garnished and the simple boiled meat salad, the plate was beautifully arranged with a variety of salads in different colors, textures and consistencies, some with individually tailored dressing. The portions are generous, so even hungrier individuals like me can get full. I'll be back 😎
