Great stuff. Something for everyone there

The only thing on the menu is melonpan, and they're ok. Half the bakery shop is a mess of a warehouse.

What they offer is of exquisite quality but you have to go quite early or order in advance if you want to have all the products as an option.

Excellent cakes and breads, I got my wedding cake from here! Japanese cakes are much lighter and fluffier, and the breads are softer as well.

This is one of those hidden gems you almost don't want to write about. It is a shop that services Yumi Hana and Nishi with their delicious buns. From sweet buns filled with chesnuts, anko beans, vanilla, matcha to curry, winerli, or crab buns to melon pan and dorayaki. It is a tasty assortment. Not to mention what they only offer in Adliswil, the cake selection. There is no dine-in, sip on your tea while you enjoy the goodies. This is a in and out type of a place. Enjoyment is to be had at home. You really should visit and try different things for yourself to determine preferences. It will be worthwhile

Yummy, tasty buns! Tried the beef curry bun, vanilla melon pan and doryaki. Sad that there is no seating inside to eat on the spot, and no drink menu. They could do well to perhaps sell matcha teas, or a few, select japanese drinks and teas that pair well with the buns. They could even serve slices of cake or bread on the spot. And make space in the seating area for customers. Otherwise, friendly service, with focus on takeaway, baked goods and cakes. :)

Best Japanies Bakery in Adliswil. I like breads from this Bakery. Specially vanilla filling. Even small cakes are delicious. My fav is mango.

A recommendation goes out for the curry roll and the Anpan bread.

The cake was light and delicious, but the pre-ordered messege was bumpy and roughly made.. a little disappointing part is inside of the bakery was not organized.

Very good. Extremely friendly staff and delicious baked goods. Anyone who knows the animated series Doraemon will get their money's worth here. Super tasty dorayaki are made here and anyone who knows Doraemon's sister knows that Dorami likes to eat melon pan. This is also prepared here and is extremely tasty. The rest of the baked goods are also great and it's cool that there is a Big Japan bakery. Highly recommended 😍😍👍💪

I wish it was open twenty four hours per week and believe me I would be there all day. The bakery is owned by two very kind and nice people and they are willing to help you with the menu and choose what you like. The bakery is very traditional and thw tastes are unique. I think it became one of my favorite places in zurich and I cannot wait to.go back again and try something different.

We were there for the first time today. We had 6 desserts and they were the best desserts we have ever had in Switzerland! Oishikatta!

I am so happy and appreciate that Hiro san‘s bakery is in Switzerland! Delicious and fine cakes and various Japanese fluffy bread make me feel at home☺️ They are very friendly and always delight customers. My favorites are passionfruits cake, melon-pan, „Windbeutel“, fruit cake and sushi😘 I wish my favorite bakery further success🙋🏻‍♀️💐☺️

Amazing quality and the staff is super friendly! I have to ride the train for a bit but it's certainly worth it everytime, especially since my parents and siblings seem to love it! I'm looking forward to continue shopping here in the future! 😊

I travelled from Bern just for their Melon pan and it's lovely!

Wowowow I am so happy I found this place it is a hidden gem for sure. It is so close to my home and this bakery makes me miss the Asian dessert places back home in Canada even more because it’s just so good and reminds me of home. I tried the green tea bun and wow I was blown away I don’t even like buns usually but this was so good. I also got a red bean pancake, black sesame bun, and a cheesecake. The red bean pancake was really tasty and soft too. I still have to try the rest but I have no doubt in my mind that they will be delicious. I can’t wait to try more things and even some dessert next time. Update I tried all the things I bought and they were all delicious my favourite was the green tea bun though there is nothing like it, you need to try it if you love green tea.

Great selection of Japanese pastries. The Melon Pan are simply amazing, well packaged and keep for a few days. The patisserie is made with love, rather expensive (Fr. 6.00 each) but also really tasty.

Super tasty, authentic products. A little more expensive, of course, but every cent is worth it! From Dora Yaki to Melonpan to Tuna rolls and delicious desserts, everything that makes Japanese gourmet hearts beat faster! Service is always very friendly! Small freezers are also available with frozen products such as gyoza or mochi.

We ordered the sushi plate through their party service and were very satisfied with this.

I like the bread with majo and corns, the other one with wiener and ketchup is also tasty. It is rare to find a japanese cake/bread shop, not as perfect as in Japan, but enough for memory travel.

Fine Japanese Doriyaki and Melon Pan, highly recommended. The lady who served us was super friendly, we will visit this bakery more often when we are in Adliswil!

Unfortunately, I'm rarely in Adliswil, otherwise I would come by more often. The selection is great and the products are delicious across the board and highly recommended - I especially recommend everyone to try the Anpan. In addition, the filling of the cream puffs reminds me of classic pasticini, which I always enjoyed eating in Lombardy :)

The cakes are delicious, the staff very friendly and nice. The only reason why I put 3 stars is that they mostly use margarine instead of real butter in their recipes. Disappointing for every real pastry lover...

I am always indebted. The things I like and buy often are melon bread, crab cream, white bread, and dorayaki. I was happy to be able to eat Japanese shortcake for Christmas.

We absolutely love this place. The deserts are insanely good and there is a large variety of baked goods that you can't really get anywhere else in Switzerland.

I'm often in Adliswil + 1 visit to the Hiro Takahashi bakery. I can't do without it. Learn a lot of new products + taste wonderful.

Wonderful bakery with many Japanese specialties but also Swiss baked goods are available. Ms. and Mr. Takahashi are very friendly. I will happily go there again. The melon bread and the curry bread were extremely tasty.

It's a shame there should be more bakeries like this in Zh. I had the baker explain to me how his wonderful products are made. It's processed differently.

Beautiful little bakery, with a delicious offer. You can also have some nice teas or coffee. Although it's a small place, it feels nice and cosy. There's a little table and chair with toys for children.

Seems to be closed on Saturdays - the webpage and writing on the front door say otherwise... Unfortunately I came all the way from Zürich with a train on Saturday only to try their baked breads. Maybe they are good but I was not given a chance to try. Wasted around an hour waiting for the trains to come... To the owner - please update the opening times! Edit: I went to Yumi Hana shop in Zürich where they sell breads from Hiro's bakery and they are actually really good. Incredibly soft and lightly sweet. I will give 4 stars just because the bakery in Adliswil was closed... again, please update the opening times.

Hiros Japanese Bakery is located in the middle of nowhere, i know him from the YUMi HANA Grocery in Zurich wich has a smal selection of his goods in the Shop, far as i know Hiro delivers each Day twice. He offer slightly more products in his Bakery then in the other locations wich he delivers, but the point is the Quality of his goods wich is very good, my Favorite is the Green Matcha Mouse Parfait. The Prices are moderate, but the Quality is better as most of all other Bakerys in Swiss, would i recommend a visit ? Yes absolutley, if you like fine Asian Bakery Goods a Visit is a must, dont worry Hiro and his Wife can Speak German and English, and of course Japanese.

It would be very customer friendly if you informed customers when you were closed. Then you don't have to stand in front of a closed door when the gentleman is on vacation. I drove to the bakery from Zurich and found the door locked. Very bad service

Best place to relax! Relatively small but very nice. And their pastries are amazing!

Their chocolate mousse cake is the best dessert in Zurich! Their cakes and pastries are much better than what you usually find in Swiss bakeries, at least for American and Asian taste buds. If you find Swiss cakes too dry, too sweet, or just "not worth it," you should definitely check this place out.

Best bakery in the Zurich area. The cakes (white/dark chocolate mousse, strawberry shortcake) are simply amazing. Even the Swiss-style fruit tarts are incredibly delicious. And soooo pretty!
