The food tasted really good. Only the lamb skewer was a bit dry. The staff is extremely friendly. No parking spaces directly in front of the door. Stairs at the entrance and also down to the toilet are therefore not recommended for people with wheelchairs. Large portions of food and beautifully presented.

Excellent restaurant with Persian specialties. Beyond the delicious gastronomy, there is no shortage of warm welcome and generosity, a brand well known to Iranians! Don’t hesitate to stop at this place to comfort yourself (a wide choice for vegetarians is on the menu)

The menu has food description and a picture that matches the food description. When we received our food it was not up to my expectations because it was not like on the picture and the vegetables were missing. The stuff said the picture is only to suggest the surving but not to describe the dish, which was not pointed out anywhere. Which I find confusing.

About food: This restaurant is the best Iranian restaurant in ZH in terms of food quality. However, the quality of Iranian food in ZH is too low. And this restaurant cannot compete at all with good Iranian restaurants in Berlin and Paris. About staff: We always have to wait a lot to be able to order. We have to wait a lot to receive food. And we mainly receive the receipt about 30 minutes after we ask to pay. During the weekend things go wrong—They even discriminate between Iranian and non Iranian customers, The staff are not enough and not professional. When we go with friends sometimes they do not accept to split the bill at first!! And we have to insist with a discussion that they do it. This time I asked them if they have a student discount for me (they gave me a student discount last time), and they replied that I have posted a bad comment about them! I never did it, they continued that we were sure you did it, what is your name and e-mail? I told them my name and my e-mail and then they gave me information about my humanitarian activities which horrified me!!! This behavior is not nice, polite, and professional. And I have to confess it is suspicious. I will never go back there again. We gathered together from Italy, the Netherlands, and Switzerland and had an amazing lunch here in this beautiful, cozy, and welcoming place and all of us enjoyed it a lot. We've been here a few times now. The food is very good, but we always waited over an hour for the food even though we made a reservation every time. Either increase the kitchen staff or not accept all reservations.

Persian restaurants tend to underwhelm in Zurich area, but Banoo is an absolute gem. The food tastes “just like Mom made it” and the service is great. Prices are a bit steep, but, in all fairness, you do get a lot of food. And again, the quality is 💯.

Very courteous service: they are happy to answer any questions, explain the food and are extremely friendly despite the full house. We really enjoyed the evening here, the stews were great - really something special. And the grill plates also looked fine and the starters were delicious. Great diverse vegetarian selection! The best Persian restaurant in Switzerland is definitely banoo! Food quality is very good and the staff are friendly. The portions are quite sufficient and all the kebabs are served with rice. I also recommend their saffron with khakshir drink. Barg kebab was also so tended and soft.

I ate at this lovely restaurant with a friend, sitting outside in the courtyard, and hands down it’s one of the best Persian food places I’ve been to. It’s got a lovely history, which you can read in the menu. The owner and staff are incredibly helpful, quality of food and the portions excellent. We drove from Zurich, as it’s wasn’t too far, and is in lovely town centre. Highly recommend!

Welcome and service are for Europeans only if you are Gulf. You are not welcomed by the employees whom I met. A woman and two young men ordered and sat down. Poor treatment when taking the order. The looks of the workers in the restaurant were inappropriate. I did not wait for the order and ate lunch in a nearby restaurant. In the end, reception and welcome are more important than serving food.

Visited for the first time in the evening yesterday. The Persian cuisine is simply amazingly seasoned - my expectations were even exceeded. Had a grill plate for the main course. The menu also offers a good selection for vegans.

Today I introduced a good friend to Persian cuisine. He didn't know Persian cuisine and was afraid it might be too spicy. I assured him that Persian cuisine is almost never spicy. He was willing to try and loved the starter Borani and the Persian Kebab Barg and overall he was pleasantly surprised by so much choice of delicious dishes. The food was very tasty and the service was very nice. Thank you, it was a great experience.

The rice was fine, the rest was a bit disappointing. Service not particularly attentive. I honestly don't understand the hype surrounding this place. It is often fully booked in the evening, but this afternoon it was empty. He didn't even say goodbye.

It's a shame - starter was good, Persian stew was too oily and not fine, dessert was just ok. My tip: Don't sit in the back unless you like the romantic sound of the refrigerator compressor combined with strong smells. Staff partly unmotivated and forgot drinks.

We are huge fans of Iranian cuisine and in particular of fessanjan, a stew with chicken and several spices. We had very good starters, but we were disappointed with the fessanjan. We thought it was very oily.

Extremely disappointed… I was there in the summer, it was fine. Yesterday? At first it came cold (…), the waiter didn't even apologize, the three of us at the back of the grill pointed fingers at me and talked. Actually, I should just leave it and get up! When it came again, the lamb, which was not cheap at all, was warm but very smelly. I then took it for my dog. Mistake! The whole car stunk! Til today. The waiter didn't even say thank you when paying. My companion wasn't happy either. Never again!

Restaurant furnishings top, service very friendly, food delicious. Price performance is right and the selection is large. It's a bit confusing that there's no bread on the menu, but you can still order it. Big plus point, Faludeh has my favorite dessert.

If you want to eat authentic but relatively modern Persian food in Zurich and the surrounding area, you can't go past this shop. Very friendly staff and really good food. You can hardly find such quality outside of Iran (especially (Kubideh). In terms of price, the whole thing is of course adapted to Zurich and the surrounding area. But it's worth it.

Great food and service!! We arrived at 13:30 and they closed at 14:30 and they happily served us even past their closing time. The food was really tasty! Really recommend it!

This place is exceptional. I've never had anything like it. I'll be looking for Persian food more in my travels. Unfortunately, it was also understaffed. I had to wait over 30 minutes after finishing my meal to settle up, while the only waiter dealt with the many other customers.
