We were looking for a restaurant that was open at 5:45 p.m. and offered typical Ticino Mediterranean cuisine. “Google Maps” recommended the Caslano tennis court to us, with a grade of 4.4!!? (a tennis court, really?) Rarely have we been so positively surprised! A simple restaurant with a typical Italian flair just a few minutes away from the "Caslano City". We asked Alfonsina about the current daily specials. We chose spaghetti with fresh tomato sauce and fried fish topped with a sauce of dried tomatoes, capers and fresh herbs, served with fresh vegetables. What is particularly worth mentioning is that Alfonsia speaks great German and answered all of our Italian beginners' questions with professional patience. We were recommended a house-made white wine to accompany this great menu. Alfonsina cooked everything herself and also looked after all the other guests and the tennis players. The food was very very tasty!!! And together with an “amuse bouche” as a welcome greeting from the kitchen, and coffee with a small dessert on offer, it’s also very affordable. Alfonsina is a real insider tip!!!

Hier kann man in wunderschöner Atmosphäre die Sonne und die Landschaft geniessen und wenn man will den Tennisspielern zuschauen. Alfonsina und Giorgio kümmern sich vorbildlich um Ihre Gäste. Die Terasse mit Lounge lädt zum Verweilen mit Freunden ein, aber Vorsicht: die Zeit vergeht im Flug.....

Very nice tennis courts, several parking spaces available. The area is truly very beautiful, immersed in the Malcantone mountains and directly near Lake Lugano. There is also a bar open all day. Definitely recommended for anyone in the Lugano area.

Great little place for quick food and drinks

Working nearby, I have been going to this place for almost ten years, which has had mixed success in the hands of more or less improvised management. At least until now. The current management is the best and most unexpected one can expect from a place that apparently does not have much to offer as it supports the tennis courts. Instead, Mrs. Elena and her husband have made it a real restaurant but at prices unheard of even in neighboring Italy. Obviously everything was very good and always always kind. You have to real professionals. Congratulations, keep it up!
