Simply superb, nothing to complain about, I loved it

We found this grotto completely by chance after a walk by the lake and stopped for dinner. Truly courteous service: the lady was really nice to our two children, bringing lots of toys which allowed us to dine in relative peace. The dishes are all homemade and very good, in particular the seasonal artichoke specialties and the gnocchi. Finally, the place, which is nice even during the winter, must be a real gem in the summer. Very honest and correct prices.

A beautiful discovery just outside the center of Caslano. Several traditional dishes that you expect to find in a grotto and seasonal proposals (asparagus lasagna and strawberry tiramisu), on which we were excellently advised. The gem are the homemade sandwiches with different flavors (pumpkin, garlic and a third that I don't remember). The place is very welcoming and it must certainly be wonderful to take advantage of the outdoor terrace in the summer. Fair prices and that's a rarity these days!

A wonderful place not to be missed! If you are near Lugano, it is a must to pass through Caslano and stop for lunch at Grotto Valle! We ate some delicious bruschetta with lard and honey and an exquisite venison salmi with polenta which we absolutely recommend (see photo). The environment is very welcoming and the service is impeccable! The owner is an excellent hostess who will also be able to advise you on how to best spend your stay in Switzerland :)

Beautiful shaded terrace, it's not too hot but cool, The dishes are delicious. The asparagus risotto is a real treat. Everything is homemade and comes from right next door, The host is smiling and kind. He only speaks Italian but we understand each other. The prices are reasonable and we come out of the Grotto full, with delicious coffee and desserts. I will return.

Service friendly and accommodating. The risotto was very bland, the Ror wine sauce for the roast was rather thin and didn't really have any taste. The mixed salad was good, as was the ham, but it was a bit carelessly prepared. My conclusion: The prices are too high for the performance.
