I have been frequenting this establishment for more than ten years, with family, colleagues and friends. Never disappointed, nice atmosphere and great value for money!

Brilliant concept! Warm environment ! Impeccable product quality! The exterior may make you hesitate, but once inside, you'll enjoy it! A good address for good eaters

Visiting the “Barbaro” restaurant is an experience that seems promising on paper, with its Mongolian menu concept and all-you-can-eat formula that invites you on an unusual culinary journey. For 59 francs, guests can enjoy meat and fish to cook themselves on skewers or a plancha, as well as unlimited desserts and drinks. A tempting offer that pushed me to visit this establishment twice. During my first visit, on a Friday evening, everything went wonderfully. The atmosphere at "Barbaro" was lively, the ingredients fresh and quality, and the experience of cooking your own food a real pleasure. The authentic flavors of Mongolian dishes, accompanied by a variety of homemade sauces, provided a memorable meal. However, my second weekday visit was radically different and deeply disappointing. The quality of the meat presented worrying anomalies, with questionable colors and, for some pieces, a strong odor indicating that they were probably spoiled. The taste was equally repulsive, a real offense to the taste buds. As for the sauces, their consistency and flavor gave the impression that they had been prepared without the slightest concern for freshness, or even carelessly. This contrasting experience leaves me perplexed as to the consistency of the quality offered by "Barbaro". If the all-you-can-eat formula and the concept of personal cooking are attractive, the inconsistency in terms of freshness and quality of ingredients raises questions. For a price of 59 francs, one has the right to expect a culinary experience that is not only entertaining but also impeccable in terms of quality. In conclusion, although "Barbaro" offers an original concept and a satisfactory first experience, the disappointment of my second visit forces me to advise caution. Future visitors will do well to consider the risk of inconsistency before venturing into this restaurant with its promising formula.

Very good restaurant. We even make our own skewers of meat, fish and vegetables, there are starters that we prepare ourselves and who cooks in front of us. Several choices of desserts. Great atmosphere, it's all inclusive (wines included). The only downside is that you have to be a big eater, otherwise it's not worth it.

Restaurant with a nice concept of all-you-can-eat formula including drinks... But lacking... Varied choice of meats, of course, that's the only positive point. On the other hand, the choice of toppings left us very perplexed: no salad or fries, instead, rice, ratatouille or gratin dauphinois, too bad...Frankly, fries and salad are the basis as an accompaniment, we we don't understand this lack. Very limited choice of desserts too, just a few mousses and fruits, no ice creams or cakes... Moreover, we had never been here before and no one explained to us how it worked. Finally, the restaurant is very dimly lit which is not very pleasant, especially to see if the meat is cooked... We had to shine the light with our smartphone to check the cooking, a shame... Anyway, we left very disappointed and regret our 2x Fr. 59.00... We will not come back and we do not recommend this restaurant, especially for Fr. 59.00/person, the quality, choice/price ratio is very bad, we don't have any for our money. As for the location... The restaurant is located right next to a brothel which gives a bad impression from the start...

I had the pleasure of discovering this restaurant on a Friday evening. We were welcomed with sangria and a small aperitif. It was super nice to get in the mood before serious things 😋 There are two elements in this restaurant: Mongolian plancha and skewers In both cases, you compose your plate/skewer yourself. And in the latter case, you manage the cooking yourself. I love the concept 😍 The products I tasted were very good. But given the immense variety, it is impossible to taste everything in one evening. Clearly meat is in the spotlight and despite the presence of fruits and vegetables, vegetarians/vegans are likely to quickly make the rounds. Important note, it’s unlimited 🤤 Including drinks 👍 The only downside is that the parking lot is poorly signposted. It wasn't really clear where we could park. In summary, go there with your eyes closed and enjoy yourself

A place where we mainly eat meat. Super fast service. The salad buffet is great. Really tender meat and quite a piece. You have to be hungry because it's very well served. I recommend both lunch and dinner with its all-you-can-eat Mongolian buffet.

Super disappointed! Buffet not fresh, pineapple probably in a can, all the fruit is not fresh and must be a few days old. Dry and undercooked rice… The same goes for potato gratin. Regarding the reception: I arrived and waited 10 minutes before being picked up. It was the first time I came, no one explained the concept to me…. Apparently there was a menu, if I had known I would not have taken the buffet. However, I found that the various meat dishes were not very appetizing because the edges of the dishes were not very clean and the utensils for serving themselves were sticky and not very clean either. Since there are a lot of people using the utensils to serve meat and sauces, there should be an employee who checks regularly and puts out clean utensils and cleans the edges of the dishes!!

A place that I had already known for years as a former resident of Aigle. I have taken my wife there several times. And there for the end of 2022, I organized our club dinner there with my colleagues. Always at the top whether it's the atmosphere, the always smiling service and the food and its friendly concept of cooking your own meat or fish on the large barbecue. I will come back to it again and again. Thank you again for this successful evening!!

The principle is nice but it's impossible to appreciate it because there are so many people. On a Saturday evening there was an endless queue to go and have a skewer and there must have been a gas problem that day. After 40 minutes of cooking, the meat was still raw. So we ate one skewer per person and very small since the goal is to get more. Very disappointed with this evening. It was super noisy. Impossible to discuss. Plus my daughter vomited. Perhaps the fact of having eaten its meat raw...

The place, lost in the middle of nowhere, is a gem. The plancha is superb and the skewers.... between meat, shrimp, grilled fruit, it's delicious! 🤤🤤🤤 The staff is friendly, and the tables are not too crowded so you can move around easily. Remember that it is hot in certain corners of the restaurant with the mega grill and the large plancha. So take clothes that will allow you to be comfortable and not get too hot... and good news, you don't smell grilling or other food smells when you go out, you can go there peacefully! Be careful, however, of disrespectful people who help themselves in abundance and who don't eat half of their plate... it's galore guys so we take a little bit at a time and go back to help ourselves when we're still hungry (or out of greed....)
