Came to interlaken for vacation and thought of having some good Swiss food for the first time. So found that this restaurant was good in the town and I did call the restaurant couple of hours before we left to check if they are open and what time will they take last order. No one mentioned on call that a reservation is needed but when we stepped in for a table of 2 at 7 pm, Men in sweater approached and said we are booked until 9 pm but let me check and come back.. the way he talked after checking back was so rude and felt like he doesn't want us to get in. Any how, does not feel like good welcoming place for outsiders.

The food was just so-so. It had a unique, pungent smell. It was a bit difficult after leaving the restaurant. I chose the wrong menu.. I thought it was Rösti with melted cheese, but it came out separately with Rösti. I was shocked. It was too big for me to eat alone.

I was here for a short visit. A typically rustic ambience awaits you, friendly service and good food. I would love to come here again. Best regards

A magnificent setting and a very appreciated service… the fondue is exquisite as well as the charcuterie… quality products… the dessert is copious we chose the mini which was very copious value for money compared to the prices in Switzerland.. I recommend we had a great time

Wonderful experience always when i was here. I've been three times in the past three years and the food and atmosphere is always amazing. Its probably family run business. The owners are cool and hospitable. Last time i went we had huge order and everything tasted amazing. If you want to try fondue 🫕 for dinner in Switzerland 🇨🇭 and you're in the Interlaken region don't hesitate to book this place. The meat specialties are superb as well. Beef stroganoff especially. The swiss wine 🍷 they offer by the glass is fulfilling the experience. The interior is definition of cozy place.

All in all very good and very tasty 😋 we left very satisfied. Now a point is still deducted because the service was extremely annoying and it was passed on to the guests. Stress makes you sick. Nevertheless, the room is recommended

It's such a pretty restaurant with an atmosphere that only I want to know about. Because it was Christmas season, the interior was very pretty and it seemed like a very local restaurant. Even though it was the off-season, it was crowded with local people. The food is delicious too! However, it’s a shame that I wasn’t able to eat much because I was full! Rösti Recommendation

We loved everything about this charming restaurant. The sublime typical chalet and its extra cozy wooden atmosphere, the extremely friendly waiters, the excellent Swiss fondue with its local charcuterie, the value for money of this great first meal in the region.

Mega delicious food in a great ambience. This was exactly what we were looking for on our vacation in Interlaken. The furnishings are very “quaint” but not kitschy but absolutely authentic. The staff was very friendly. There was still enough space in the parking lot behind the house. We got a table for two without a reservation on Friday evening at 6 p.m., but if you want to be on the safe side you should make a reservation. The food was very tasty and the portions were a good size.

Delicious food, friendly staff. It's best to reserve a table, it's always very busy. Just a little expensive - even by Swiss standards. In particular, you also have to pay an extra 4.50 if you want to share a meal. Even the small portion is always only slightly cheaper than the large one.

Such a fantastic dinner. The ambiance, service, and food were all great. We had pumpkin soup, the veal with mushroom sauce and hash potatoes, braised beef with mashed potatoes and green beans, and a great local bottle of wine. Want to go back!!

The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. There were so many people that I almost wouldn't have been able to get in if I hadn't made a reservation. We were very lucky to be seated at one place, and we had goulash, beef rösti, and fondue (two servings with tomatoes, etc.), and they were all delicious. And the recommended Penon Noir wine is truly the wine of life👍👍👍 It was a memorable evening.

I want to begin with something not so good, even though I'm giving it 5 stars! The food and meat choices are really tasty, and the atmosphere and outdoor seating offer a comfy and lovely view, especially at night. However, the drinks, like tea and coffee, were not good. I mean, dessert and drinks are a part of the dining experience. When I review, I think about the food's value, the service, the atmosphere, and the food quality in relation to what I'm paying. Everything was just perfect except for the drinks! I hope the restaurant offers better tea options than just cheap Lipton tea.

Such a lovely restaurant, we came quite a bit early for our reservation and they still seated us no problem. Them we got the lamb with rosti and also the veal in mushroom and cream sauce both were delicious. Finished with tiramisu (also delicious). So happy we found this place for our first meal in Interlaken.

The food was actually good, but a bit greasy. The portions are very good. The staff was quite rude at the beginning and didn't ask if everything was OK.

Snuck in for a couple of hours on a Sunday (reservations were full, but they let us eat for two hours before the reservations started to come in, which was more than enough for three). We had the Pork Schnitzel, Horse Stroganoff, and Steak, and all three dishes were superb. Steak was cooked medium rare and was quite tender, the schnitzel was juicy, and the horse stroganoff was full of flavor. The deserts were spot on, the apple pie was sublime, and the egg liqour shot with ice cream and coffee ice cream with a rum shot was excellent. Price is a standard affair in Switzerland, but for us, it was worth it.

Stopped in on a busy night with no reservation and they were fully booked, but they were able to squeeze us in. Service was stellar, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend (but you should probably make a reservation).

A nice, rustic restaurant within Interlaken. The restaurant has its own parking spaces. These are not completely sufficient, but they are a nice gesture. You should definitely make a reservation on the weekend! When the place is full, it can get quite loud. The Rösti and the cheese fondue are very filling and taste great. You should be hungry for the fondue. Bread will be provided free of charge if required. Prices match portion sizes.

Great Swiss atmosphere on the outside terrace. Waiters were very accommodating with our preference of table/seating. Lovely wine and delicious Swiss Fondue 🫕 🧀 as well as the local beef, mash and veggies 🥗 service was good as well.

Good restaurant in a cute atmosphere. A few vegetarian options, the spetzle and rosti were very good. Portion size is fine. Be careful, they charge 5 to 10 CHF for tap water.

We didn’t have a reservation but the staff managed to give us a table outside . Nice ambience , right on the street . Walkable from Interlaken west . We had the lamb and breaded pork with a glass of Rose and the local beer . Great food and service was quick . Pretty good overall experience 👍

Although I didn’t have a reservation there was no fuss and a place speedily found. Food - I chose from the list of summer specials - was full of flavour and nicely balanced. Waiting staff attentive and friendly without being in your face and prices that were extremely reasonable.

Excellent swiss menu and everything we ordered, including the desert tasted so good. Their services are prompt and the waiters are very friendly, especially the Thai lady.

A Swiss restaurant that tastes less than ordinary

We went twice ! Once for drinks (Hugo’s!) & apps and next night for dinner. We loved the place , and food. The fondu shouldn’t be missed as an appetizer. So good. Our server (Asian-sorry don’t recall her name) was so much fun and very helpful. I’d definitely go back and repeat everything ! I’m craving the Rösti !

It is increasingly difficult to find a restaurant serving local food anywhere these days. That's why we were so happy when we found this place, even though we really had to go further from the city center. The food is very delicious. The service was also nice. If you are in Switzerland, look for a restaurant serving Swiss food. You can find the rest at home.

I couldn't make a reservation because I was in a hurry, but the owner kindly asked me to wait a little while, so I went and ate outside! Goulash and cheese fondue (basic) for 1 person, potato bacon and cheese? We had two glasses of beer with the food. We were very full. They say Swiss food is not cost-effective and tasteless, but this restaurant is the best! I will definitely come again! Yummy yummy

We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The food was delicious and there was a nice cosy atmosphere. Definitely the nicest Swiss food we had during our week long stay. The staff were so friendly and even recommended a hike to us when they heard that's why we were visiting the area. It was so good we booked again for a second night. Would highly reccomend.

Always pretty full. The building is beautiful from the outside. The food is really okay. There were six of us and everyone was happy. For 5 stars, you just need a little more spice in the dishes you eat.

Raqclette was really nice and cheesy with alcoholic in it. Had the raqclette with green pepper which is added directly to the cheese fondue base. We initially thought it was paprika for dipping. Opps! We had it with bread. Service was great and friendly. Quite busy and popular. Might want to consider to make a reservation but we did not, quite fast turn over.

Rösti with sliced ​​veal is highly recommended. The hash browns were very crispy. The meat is tender and the sauce is creamy.

This place looks exactly like it does on the pictures: very cute, authentic and cosy. We had a cheese fondue with bread, pear, potatoes, tomatos, onion and pickles. We enjoyed every bit of it! The services of the people working here is also very nice - they gave good advice on what drinks go well with a cheese fondue. Very quick service with a warm smile. The items are a bit pricey, but you can taste the high quality in the food so that really makes up for it.

Authentic Swiss cuisine, first-class service

It was delicious haha. It was nice that there was an option to exclude alcohol from the fondue.

I will never forget the Swiss cuisine I ate here! We especially admired the goulash because it was so delicious. The lamb was tender and had no unpleasant odor, and the trout dish had a clean taste that I couldn't stop eating. The cutlets, rice, and French fries that came on the side were so generous that I gave up eating them. I also remember this because the store owner was very friendly. This is a store I recommend if you come to Interlaken!

This restaurant was incredible! I ordered a schnitzel. I thought this was the normal schnitzel like everywhere else but apparently I ordered something else. I am not so easy with liking every food to be honest. But this was literally perfect! Also the cheese fondue of my partner was amazing. There was pepper in it. I normally don’t like pepper but this was so good!! The fries and hash browns where very good. Thank you!!

cheese Fondue was excellent, my husband and I don't drink and there was very little alcohol flavor which was great! There is also non alcoholic fondue options if you would like that. Our servers were amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. You will need a reservation if you want to eat here so call ahead, it is worth your time to visit here.
