Bebek in Zürich

The place is nice and cozy. The staff was friendly, welcoming and pretty fast. The food was not bad, but it was underwhelming. Everything tasted bland. It was not a bad experience, but I don't think I would repeat it.

Unfortunately, the meze à discretion had nothing to do with oriental cuisine, the sauces were very tasteless and bland. Price/performance is not right at all. In the end we just ate some bread. Unfortunately we do not recommend it.

Great atmosphere, very cozy and modern. Young, hip guests. Meze is very good. Vegetarians are guaranteed to find something. I also like to come here just for a drink. I think some of the staff could be a little more attentive and even put on a smile. (I think I was also there on a rather stressful day.)

First time to visit based on a recommendation from a friend. We were nicely welcomed by the waiter/employee Fahim! He was kind to seat us in a cozy spot. We ordered food and though it was just a few items, it turned out to be quite expensive. I mean, just 1 chicken skewers dish, a muhamara (bell pepper ground walnut dip), plus a few cheese cigars and a drink of OJ and tea with 1 Cheesecake to share, it came out to almost 70chf ( including a humble tip). All of the staff are not the same energy? We've had better customer service as well as Lebanese food, but the restaurant is nicely presentable and the food is okay, Not amazing, but their signature cheesecake was honestly Very tasty. I'm not so sure I'd go again! But the atmosphere was nice and it was a decent experience. 🙂

Beautiful location, food very fine and appealing.

Ambience sensational. Service was very friendly, could have been a bit more attentive at first, it took over 10 minutes until we could order drinks. In our opinion the food is very mediocre: Bulgur kibbeh with tzatziki: Kibbeh very tasty, 3 pieces for CHF 15 very expensive, the tzatziki disappointing (yoghurt with pieces of cucumber, not a traditional tzatziki for me. Tabbouleh and mutabal were both incredibly unsalted and bland. Moussaka and goat cream cheese were very good.

A friend and I often visit Bebek's upstairs bar area on Monday evenings. We enjoy the generous selection of draft beer as well as the journey through all the oriental delicacies that this restaurant has to offer. My friend's big favorite is the Espresso Martini from the bartender Tobi, who usually works there on Mondays.

We ordered the “Sunday breakfast” à discretion. It was very fine and had a large selection. You get a lot for around 39.00 per person. Everything is served on a cake stand and the staff always comes back and asks what else you want. It was really nice.

Great restaurant, we always like to go back. The only thing that could be improved is the coffee. Compared to other brunch places that offer really good coffee, Bebek is rather poor.

Wheelchair accessibility: available, but unfortunately not entirely practical. The restaurant was full when I was there. In order to get to the toilet with a wheelchair, people at various tables would have had to get up and put their things aside. I didn't look at the toilet. Access to the bar on the upper floor is via a lift outside the restaurant. Food was great.

First time here and the food was interesting, a different menu to what I’m used to, and good options for brunch. Unfortunately, the service and attention very slow, as we waited 25min to place the order after being seated, and every time we ordered something else like the menu or desserts, around 10-15 min more. Nevertheless, kind. But you better go with time.

I love coming to cafe Bebek, regardless of the time of the day. The service is always friendly, food is great (coffee too). And there is never a problem with the table, so you can be spontaneous ;). Such a change, from most if the places in Zürich, where you always have to book in advance.

The four of us were at Bebek last Saturday. As always, the food was prompt. The final bill came to 278 francs. Since we really didn't like the service, we paid 280. Of course it was a bit low, but since I worked in service for a long time myself, I know what "good service" is. It is also understandable that the employee then asks whether something was wrong. But what I found very wrong was his reaction: "We can go to the MacDonalds next time." When I wanted to explain myself and it wasn't okay, he didn't let me finish. I then left it and wished him a nice evening. Afterwards we saw him complaining to the boss. When we left the restaurant, the boss quickly disappeared into the kitchen and didn't even want to say goodbye to us. I have to point out again that a tip is not a must in Switzerland and is not part of the salary, so I find the reaction just ridiculous. I've been to Bebek a few times and always been very satisfied, but I have to say that one visit per year is enough for me at the moment.

Delicious Turkish oriental food with friendly service

Top restaurant - whether brunch as a couple, drinking coffee with friends, dinner with friends or a team event. I was always very happy with the Bebek.

Unfortunately we were served without motivation. The food was good but the service was so inattentive that it was still unsatisfactory. The restaurant is dark and cold. Unfortunately we weren't very convinced...

The waiters are a bit gej, but the atmosphere is nice. Despite the portions being small and the prices high, I would definitely recommend the içli köfte (stuffed meatballs) and meatballs with tahini sauce; both are very well-made. Desserts and tea are not worth the money, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering them. It’s a place to visit occasionally.

Very nice cafe. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The cafe tastes fabulous and everything is very clean. The music is at a pleasant volume. They asked directly if I wanted water for my dog, and the staff seemed very attentive and friendly.

The mezze were delicious across the board! Labneh, lamb merguez and kofta stand out. The kitchen was very flexible and our waiter Sascha was extremely attentive! Thank you and see you soon

This is the first time I visit this restaurant. Honestly, I liked it a lot, especially the atmosphere inside the restaurant is good and beautiful. You should visit this place.☺️

There was a small worm on the breakfast plate. We told the waiter, but no one paid any attention to us. Besides, we paid the entire bill. The waiter laughed and no one apologized because we had a worm on our plate. The restaurant manager just looked at us and didn't compensate us.

The food and ambience were really great. But we were there as a group and didn't really feel welcome. On the contrary, the waiter was annoyed. We were also given the feeling that we had to leave again as quickly as possible. I think it's a real shame, especially because the food and drink were really good. But I definitely won't go there again and certainly won't recommend it.

The lunch menu was super delicious. We were there with our children (both under 1 year old). The staff was super friendly and made room for the strollers at our table.

It's a shame what happened to this store It's better to wait over 25 minutes to order and actually wanted to eat but then I just took a coffee because who knows how long the food would have taken and I was there at 3 p.m. so there was almost nothing going on and The waiters very arrogant

Good option for a middle eastern brunch.

BEBEK, Xmas meal for the first time, was invited so it cannot be valued monetarily, it was 12 p, service was always there but very discreet, food was as varied as it should be, I really liked the atmosphere, I will be coming back soon with my new baby, looking forward to the bill, because of that Price/performance, I'm already happy

Cafe Bebek simply has something for everyone and the Turkish cuisine combined with modern European cuisine is a shot in the middle TOP… The food is tasty, service is friendly, clean furnishings I have been there several times and always enjoy it…

As a Turk I can say the breakfast has nothing to do with Turkish breakfast. We had burnt sucuk and it didn't taste good. The price is not fair for two pieces of cucumbers and two pieces of tomatoes.

We're from Germany and thought we'd give the store a try. Biggest mistake. Don't do this to yourself. 16 francs for two tomatoes and two cucumbers. You can really overdo it. Menemen was just warmed tomato sauce! This is not a menemen!!

Wow, just wow. We didn't have a reservation (on Saturday evening!). Nevertheless they found a table for us. The food was first class, the service even better. I haven't seen such relaxed efficiency in a very long time. We'll definitely come back there.

For a Turkish restaurant WHY ARE YOU NOT HALAL?! 🥲 Reserved this place for a couple of people. Service was fast! Food was tasty even though it was vegetarian. We did find a HAIR in one of our dishes but folks were decent about it. Chill place for VERY casual eating!

The waiter made me wait outside for 30 minutes without reminding us that he had thrown the menu on the table. Why did he throw it like a frisbee? I worked as a waiter for many years and this is my love for the job. It seemed like a nice place to get to know but I really don't think about returning. A thousand thanks

Well located and nice atmosphere! However, the older German waiter talks too much about guests! Stick your nose into private stuff that shouldn't be any of his business! Therefore I can't give you a very good rating because I don't like your work culture! The waiter is the oldest who works there, slim and relatively tall! Unfortunately I didn't remember the name. About 50 years old and tall and slim. Please use discretion and respect for everyone!

Unfortunately, all that is known about Afghan food is the name. It hardly has any oriental spices and has a rather neutral taste. The chicken meat is too dry and inedible. The Adolholzner water was brought in an opened bottle and cost 10.40 CHF. The prices are overpriced and the restaurant is not worth visiting.

We had a very nice experience. We took place outside and were immediately served by a friendly waiter. We tried the small appetizers mix, then two main courses (lamb and iskembe kebab). The lam was very tender, delicious!! Cannot complain about the food. We ended our dinner with sorbet (presentation could have been better than just adding a cookie). Quality/price fair! Recommended!

We came to have breakfast as a family, 5 of us brought bread for 2 people. We had to constantly ask for bread. The waiter's attitude was rude and sarcastic. We didn't like it at all. Very nice interior and atmosphere. Food is always great, drinks are good and staff is always helpful. There is plenty of meat and vegetarian options. Food is always fresh, there is variety of drinks and wine list. Place is really kids friendly as well, food for the little one was served super quickly.

We were there for brunch. The location was very spacious and had the feel of a hotel. There is plenty of seating outside when the weather is nice. The service was really friendly and attentive. The four of us had the so-called Sunday brunch a la discretion. Great selection, sufficient and tasteful and appetizing. Wonderful. Happy to come back!

We had a super great experience yesterday. Sunday breakfast on 7 days, 2 adults and 3 small children. The food was very good, the staff was extremely nice and competent. Gladly again!

Making a reservation here is a joke as the good tables are already given away to walk-in customers. The “oriental” food was not seasoned at all. It is questionable whether chicken kebabs should really be served cold. The pre-prepared food is everything that lands on your plate straight from the fridge.

I was here for breakfast/brunch I had a Rösti with eggs and it was very nice. Moreover they nicely substituted the fried eggs for scramble. Thank you. The rest of my friends had scramble eggs and oriental breakfast. The taste of the food was really good. I recommended I had a decaf coffee with oat milk. This I always have in each restaurant I go and the taste here was average for me. The rest of my friends had normal coffee and the liked them. I had brunch with a friend today. Menemen was very tasty and I think the price was okay, the oriental house breakfast was also delicious, but the price was rather expensive. Absolute impudence was a 3dl orange juice for CHF 9.50! Yes, we are in Zurich and the rest of the prices are high, but the orange juice is a disgrace.

We went on a Saturday morning to brunch. It’s a bit crowded, reservations are a good idea. Food was good, but a bit expensive. The service though was a bit disappointing: we had to wait 15 minutes or more just to receive the menus and even more to get the check.

Brunch was very nice. Great products and combinations. What didn't work at the beginning got better, but wasn't completely solved: There was always too little food: ham, cheese, fish, etc. everything was served, but there were 10 of us at the table and the food was enough for 3. Long waiting times. Staff had to be regularly alerted. This situation was annoying, got better towards the end, but left a bad aftertaste.

Had an early dinner here on Friday afternoon. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful but the weather was nice and we preferred to be seated on the patio like all the other guests: but we didn't realize that being near the bus stop, people were walking through the restaurant patio as a path through to the other side of the road. We ordered: Small Meze Variation💕 Leaf Salad with raspberry & Pomegranate Sauce Chicken Breast Skewers with Apricot Harissa Dip Iskender Kebap The meze was great, it comes with a side of fresh, soft type of homemade Pita. Especially loved the Hummus, chickpeas, eggplant and the fried onion/cheese rolls! Leaf Salad was goof with their Pomegranate Sauce, not too sweet. The chicken breast skewers were juicy but did not have a bbq/Charred flavour. The Iskender (beef) kebap was flavourful but the beef a bit overcooked and tough. Overall the flavours were very good for the whole meal and the service was good!

Unfortunately I have to correct my review from 6 years ago. We have been to Bebek often and for a long time. The food was and remains super tasty, the service was friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant has recently become more and more of a machine. An incredible number of guests, limited meal times, even if you have a reservation, you can't expect to get a comfortable table. We had reserved a table for two today at 12:45, but unfortunately we were seated in the lounge with armchairs and knee-high tables. simply extremely impractical for eating. Then we're further along. very unfortunate. less would be more.

Bebek is a very modern Turkish Lebanese inspired restaurant in the middle of Zurich. T The menu is fairly wide with something for everybody also vegan food. The services friendly and good. There was a small mistake and corrected it as they should . I was super happy. The food is nicely plated and tasty. The food is not very spicy, at least not what I got. The prices are average. The Turkish coffee was good albeit a little bit sweet. Overall, I can very much recommend this restaurant and I will return sometime.

Bebek is my top choice for a tasty vegan meal, and the veganer metzeller is my absolute favorite. With a variety of flavors in one dish, it never disappoints. The customer service is friendly, making it a great option for both quick and leisurely lunches. Highly recommended!

the staff is incredibly rude. he considered the tip that I left (even if I was not obliged to leave tip) was too small and he refused it. then he became pretty upset. the food was mediocre and it took way too long (more than an hour for 3 main dishes) and the restaurant was quite empty.
