The waitress named Ivana served us. Not only did she skip us several times, which can happen, but she also treated us very unkindly. She didn't even have the patience to fully take our order. My wife and I have lost our appetite. It's no way to treat people like that, even on a stressful day. She humiliated us a lot in front of the other customers. However, the food and the rest of the staff are a 10/10. Of course we are “just” walk-in customers, but we also pay your wages.

Today I went for coffee with 2 customers. (Weisenhausplatz) My customers ordered at one cash register and I at the other. My customers said that they were inviting me and that I should also order from them. Ok, unfortunately the saleswoman had to cancel my coffee from the cash register. She did this quite angrily and visibly annoyed. She hammered out the amount and grumbled something to herself that I unfortunately, or fortunately, didn't understand. The woman was lucky I was there with a client, otherwise I wouldn't have accepted it like that! I had to control myself a lot, it was so cheeky and inappropriate! By the way, the shop was empty and it wasn't at all troublesome. Because of a small misunderstanding, such a reaction was very borderline!

I needed 10 XL Bärner Bärli 🐻 . There were only 5 left in the store. The next morning everyone was there for me.

After waiting endlessly for the drink, the cake was cold again and only half baked after being warmed up in the microwave oven with soggy dough. Very unloving. Nowadays there are efficient small ovens that can be used to prepare pastries and thus get the product that meets expectations. Apparently Bakery Glatz hasn't heard anything about it. The chai latte I ordered was also an absolute disaster, even with a generous helping of syrup, it was like getting a glass of water. A far cry from what Chai Latte really is. The rooms are also impersonal and tasteless. Ambiance is totally missing. I have not yet received a response to my email with the complaint about the chai latte. It can be ? that the Glatz bakery might not be interested in customer feedback? A pity The staff was also totally overwhelmed and the waiting time for drinks was simply unreasonable.

I am a frequent customer at the Glatz bakery. Great service, delicious bread and lactose-free products. Minus point: I had a Black Forest cake made with decorations and assumed there would be a football covering the cake. This is how it was explained to me on the phone. I'm a little disappointed to have to pay an extra 7 francs for this football...

Excellent coffee shop in the square where the Bern police are based. The coffee is one of the best in Bern, they serve it with a chocolate. The pastries and croissants are excellent. You can also buy the bear-shaped cake, the chocolate one is delicious. Recommended bar.

Recent renovations have provided plenty of sitting space. I would consider this place very kid friendly. Great place to press pause, enjoy a snack and a good read. The staff was super friendly.

Definitely try their famous Bern Almond Bears. They have a chocolate version as well but I thought their original flavour tasted more authentic.

I normally go to this confectionery to buy Bern Mandelbärli, unfortunately, they charged me two packs of 6 madeleines instead of 2 packs of 4. I noticed the mistake but didn't know how refund me so they offered to exchange my packages for larger packages. To err is human but they didn't even make a small commercial gesture to me. I also ordered a coffee with a butter croissant. What a desappointment ! The croissant is better in the supermarket than in this pastry shop. It's a shame considering the price, the quality is not there.

A nice place to have lunch or have a coffee and work. A lot of seating options, because of the tables outside, on the first floor and on the second floor (which is usually empty). The upstairs area especially light and quiet, reminds me of a library (but you can eat there). There is no background music in the place. Theoretically a 5 star place, but the cozy aspect is missing.

I always enjoy coming here, it has a large selection of sandwiches, salads, pastries, etc. You can sit comfortably outside and watch the goings-on around. Unfortunately, the bread/sandwiches are sometimes a bit dry and the toppings are sometimes saved. The prices are a bit too high for that. All in all, recommended for a quick lunch.

Bakery with integrated café (also on the 1st floor). Here you can find the famous Bernese Mandelbärli. Unfortunately the staff was very stressed and not really friendly. We had to wait a long time before we could order and pay. The upper floor seemed a bit neglected and dirty.

Down by the entrance the confectionery, stocked with fine patisserie for the eye! Plus the friendly service. On the first floor is the beautiful location where you can enjoy a ☕ with a 🍰🍮🍭🍩🍦.

Hmm I've been a guest at Glatz several times and the quality of the food is very good and the staff is always very friendly. The fact that at these prices the food is not served to you and you have to get it at the counter is wrong. Individual requests can no longer be made for birthday cakes and recently you have to order these cakes explicitly via customer service by telephone. The cake catalog is in the store and you can get advice there, but they can't or don't want to accept orders in the store anymore...I think it's completely wrong.
