The once well-run café has unfortunately become a waiting room with frequently changing, incompetent and often unfriendly staff. Too bad

the products are far too expensive. Just under 8 CHF for a sandwich & you have to add your own mayo so you don't choke on it. The corn croissants are getting smaller and smaller, but the price is constantly increasing. Do you sell according to the motto “less is more”? Less content, more price?!

Well, I won't be going back to this café anytime soon... the service (woman) is so loud that the whole café is filled with noise and is supplied with uninteresting information, the other service (man) is bossy and harsh. Good service is apparently only reserved for regular guests. If I order a Moroccan mint tea based on the drinks menu, then I don't have to hear five times that it's peppermint (which, by the way, is incorrect)... The porcelain plates are both shot (with sharp edges) that you can cut yourself on. The wooden coffee board coasters are getting old and unsightly. Everything has potential for improvement...

Were in this cafe for the first time today, Friday: October 13th, 2023. That was really the pinnacle. The saleswoman in the store was so snippy and arrogant with the customers. The service in the café was also not that optimal. Wait, wait and wait some more. Unfortunately, apologizing a thousand times to the service lady didn't help either. There is definitely room for improvement in this store.

Today we went for morning coffee with our hiking group of 10 people who had booked in advance. Impeccable service with difficult orders made the start a pleasure. Gladly again - thank you very much

Outside in the garden I enjoyed a nice coffee and a good strawberry tart. I placed my order at the counter inside and took the strawberry tart with me outside. Uninviting saleswoman in the store. Later the coffee was served to the table. There is plenty of room for improvement!

On Thursday, August 17, 2023, I went to Voland with a work colleague to have a little snack. With the weather being beautiful and, above all, quite warm at the time, we of course wanted to be outside. We sat down next to a table with cheerful seniors. While we were talking and laughing, we didn't even notice what was on the table and one of our senior neighbors pointed it out to us. When my colleague read this he said: "If they think this belated April Fool's joke is funny, then the waitress is probably going to die laughing too!" What neither of us knew was that he was actually right... The waitress had to jump away, and her red lips and black eye make-up didn't help either, because with her rainy-weather licking for at least 14 days, she hit our extinguisher button precisely. Dear Mr. Schweizer, perhaps you should pay more attention to your staff than to politics - and with such instructions for customers, you don't have to be surprised if all of a sudden they stop coming...! We're definitely not coming back!

Home of the Baumer flatbread! A delicious, airy, not dry gingerbread cookie with a hazelnut filling. Comparable to a beaver... Otherwise a typical local pastry shop with a cafe. It operates in the evenings and mornings when commuters are on the move.

I wanted to enjoy a coffee and croissants with friends in the garden restaurant on Sunday. Then the waitress came and pointed out to me that I could only order and pay in the store outside. The food is then served outside. We went to the store, I ordered my coffee, there were no pretzel croissants left, instead I enjoyed a piece of cherry cake. I paid immediately and went outside to our table. At some point, after a while, I started eating the piece of cherry cake and drinking the coffee because it was threatening to get cold. My friends still had to wait a while for what they ordered. The cherry cake reminded me of the cookies that I got from my grandmother in the 60s, which had been lying in the closet for weeks, cherry, at most a homeopathic amount, a memory of it, but nothing more. Every cherry cake from every major distributor that is about to expire is even better and I can drink cheap coffee at home alone. No, I will no longer consider Voland

Every time we want to enjoy something small there, the service gets worse and worse. Nobody cares about serving anyone well. Wanted to enjoy a small breakfast with my family. The waitress gave us each a napkin. Sorry, but that doesn't work at all. The waitress spoke very loudly. Could come across as cheeky at times. Very unfortunate.

great! always fresh, delicious products and very friendly staff. The café is great too! everything has been beautifully renovated. It would be great to have a bee/wasp barrier again in the summer (like before the renovation). It is very unpleasant for customers and employees (I am an allergy sufferer). A lower rating complained that there was "nothing left" 1 hour before closing time: I've been living in Bauma near the bakery for almost 8 years and am a very frequent customer. I can confirm that it has never had “nothing left”. Since all the shelves are no longer full, this also speaks for good management at the bakery! #nofoodwaste :)

Coffee and cake perfect. Operation is easy to very difficult. The cafe was extremely full and unfortunately the service staff, there were only two visible, were totally uncoordinated. It's a shame that the owner should look a little more into this.

Great offer as usual, everything was very nice. However, the service quality leaves a lot to be desired 😩The restaurant is actually empty and the meat/cheese platter we ordered never arrives 😩But there is a nice chat behind the buffet 👍

After waiting 25 minutes and not being served, we left the café again. A pity.

You want to enjoy a Baumer flatbread and find two strange threads in it... the desire was gone... it's a shame... Otherwise always great and fine...

After a whopping 45 minute wait for a plate of ham croissants (2 ham croissants & salad), the service staff remember; that there are no more ham croissants. When I asked questions, the waitress became cheeky and said I could go into the kitchen myself. At least we were offered drinks and a salad; which is made from iceberg lettuce; unpeeled cucumber slices & beetroot & canned beans. Simply embarrassing & Never again

The bread is very tasty! Unfortunately I had to complain about the service in the restaurant. The 3 minute egg was hard, the staff (i.e. everyone I saw) couldn't speak German very well and the glass with the orange juice was filled well below the mark. I'm actually a Voland fan, but somehow the quality was off Service is much higher. The products are still excellent, hence 3 stars =)

Nice bakery with a small cafe. There are various baked goods beautifully presented, but the special thing is the Baumerfladen. It is available with almond filling and nut filling and is highly recommended.

Wow wonderful!! We paid less than 20chf for all of these and it was so delicious: cappuccino, coffee, cake with rhubarb and a homemade cream cake! The service is very polite! It is worth it! The bread is also very tasty...all 100% homemade

Today I wanted to get a lactose-free Ovo and was asked if I would buy the opened 1 liter of milk straight away!? I thanked him and said no, as I didn't want to carry milk with me on the way to the shop. So the lady said no to me, there was an extra charge of 1 Fr because of the lacto-free milk! To be honest, I spend around 80Fr there a week and now I have to say that if I have to pay extra for this little request, I don't feel valued as a customer! Avoid Volland, Volland doesn't need me, that's what it feels like after 7 years of consuming it! Sad

Always good for a stop during a bike ride. Good coffee, perfect for cake and always something different to go with the cake (cookies, fruit bread slice, etc.) The Baumerfladen is my personal favorite!!!

Truly the best cream slice in the region. Especially because the only sensible cutlery (sharp knife with fork) was served and was served in a very friendly manner. So you can eat and enjoy this delicacy properly without any mess. Also a cozy restaurant with a large selection in the store.

Fine things in this bakery. Parking space in front of the house. Not very many, however. The train station can be reached in two minutes and there is enough parking space there. We had a frame that was very fine. Friendly service. A visit to the bakery and cafe is definitely a must if you want to do something good for yourself.

THE baker in the Zurich Oberland. The branch in Bauma seems a bit dusty. Offer is below average. The staff is very friendly, but seems overwhelmed, especially at peak times. What's annoying is that at lunch you sometimes have to wait half an hour or more until the food you ordered is served. And not even during rush hour.
