Beef7 Premium Steakhouse & Bar in Basel

The burger including fries was good, but it didn't blow me away. There are better burgers elsewhere for this price.

We've come to Beef7 many times. The service and food is always excellent. Very tender and good steaks. This time you gave me a steak that was too small, but the waiter apologized - that can happen. Beef7 is the second favorite steak restaurant in the area. We like to come back there every time! We can highly recommend!

There were three of us and we wanted something to eat on a Friday evening. It is advisable to reserve early! Luckily, a nice gentleman on the phone was able to organize a table for us later in the evening. The staff is generally very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and even if the prices are a bit high, the price-performance ratio is absolutely right.

The table was so full with the glasses/cutlery, we could barely keep our plates on the table, it was so crowded. Service was friendly but when you are served by x number of people and everyone comes and asks what you want to order and you have already ordered from the first waitress, it is really difficult. Acoustically so quiet because we were sitting so close to each other, the waitress had to ask several times and so did we. We were there at 8:30 p.m. We were able to order drinks directly and then received a 1L bottle of water, which was 8.90!!! costs (not branded water but bottled, which had hardly any fizz) After about 10 minutes we were able to order the food, which didn't come until 9:35 p.m. Although the other tables had all already eaten and some were already eating dessert, our food arrived so late and not even as ordered (it was medium well, the meat arrived with gray spots and was still completely raw on the inside). Nobody had anything else during the meal asked if everything was OK, so the back and forth with the waiters wasn't helpful. We left quickly after eating. In total we received 169.- as a bill, I think it was very expensive since we didn't have any wine/dessert.

I've been there several times and most recently with my team (business lunch). The food is always perfect. The service was very accommodating and always available for a little fun. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Wonderful wine selection. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the whole team! See you soon

Food and ambients top. Service disappointing

Despite a Friday evening and many guests, the service staff didn't miss the opportunity to always have a little fun for our 3 year old when they walked past the table. There was also something for the little one to paint, including a constant smile. The quality of the meat and the associated taste were outstanding. The side dishes were also very tasty but couldn't steal the show from the meat. A warm recommendation to anyone who wants to come. We will.

Great address in Basel if you want to be pampered by BEF. Service is attentive and relaxed.

It was very very tasty!!! We had the bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer. 10/10 And as a main course, the fillet with fries was also very tasty! The waiting time was a little too long, but the restaurant was full and the service and ambience were great! That's why it deserves 5 stars! I'd love to come back.

Thanks to the whole team, Admittedly, it is certainly not cheap, but when you consider it in conjunction with the quality of the food on offer, the attentive and friendly service staff and the ambience offered, it is completely justified. I have been there 2 times. The first for lunch. I ordered a burger and asked for medium rare the server said OK. the burger came and it was grey all around. I asked why. The manager came and explained that they sous-vide the burger (cook in a bag in a water bath). First, who da hell does that. Second, why did you proceed to accept an order for medium rare. They apologized and asked for a second chance. I gave them. I went there for my wedding anniversary and we ordered a big steak. Again medium rare. It came mooing. They offered to recook it. But once the meats sit and rests recooking it is going to dry it out. So I said no just the check. They didn’t charge for the steak. But you have steak and beef in your name and you cannot cook meat! The bread was good. Maybe change your name to bread7.

I can write a long story, but let me summarize it: “this is how meat should be made”.

We have been a couple of times at the restaurant and we always had a great experience. Food quality is excellent Service very helpful and friendly, we always feel very welcome. Yesterday we had the experience of a very special treat beside the great quality and Taste of the meat of squid (Pulpo), it was delicious. Food was all very good

Not so often, because this quality comes at a price. We were in wonderful hands with Kevin, the most attentive and charming waiter we've had in a long time. The food is simply great, recommended to everyone who likes meat, appreciates Basel's old town and follows the house's recommendations. As soon as it's that time again, I want to enjoy a meal in peace, inhale the ambience and live the stylish but not exaggerated luxury... my first choice!!!

Yesterday evening ,dinner with my Wife and baby: everything perfect. Staff: Great,friendly and very professional, ready to support . Thanks to them there is a warm atmosphere in the restaurant. Food: excellent meat, and very good the dessert. Price: is not the first thing to consider in Switzerland. For the Swiss standard ,price/quality is absolutelly correct . We will come back for sure!

Perfect location for an excellent piece of meat. Were there yesterday and had the bison. I have rarely eaten such a tender piece of meat. There is no need for sauces or herb butter. Absolutely gorgeous. Prices are high, but the quality of food and drinks is worth it. The service staff is extremely attentive, friendly and has the right amount of humor. The dessert was also great. I decided on the cheesecake. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, so we had to move from the beautiful backyard indoors. But it was quick and easy.

There were three of us at the beef and we all had the bison and everyone wanted a different level of doneness. The food was served to us at the same time and was grilled to perfection at all levels of doneness. I have never eaten such tender meat and for me it is only edible when the cook's heart bleeds and tears flow😄. The knife slipped like it was through butter. Everything else tasted really good too. The atmosphere in the courtyard was very nice and the service can only be praised highly. Everyone is extremely friendly, attentive and competent. It was not only a sensationally good meal, but thanks to everyone who contributed, a wonderful evening. Thank you very much everyone👍🤗🙋

Oh my goodness. This steak was hands down the best steak I've ever had. So delicious plus the fries plus the gorgeous strawberry sangria. I've just made myself hungry writing this review! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Basel.

Food was very basic, not cooked well (we took the chateaubriand). Way too expensive.

Lunch was very good. It would have been possible to look up the supplements. We will spend lunch there again today.

First of all, a big compliment to the service... We were served by the waiter Ángel who really took the time to explain/recommend everything to us in detail. Rarely have I experienced such a friendly waiter :) . The steaks are actually out of this world... incredibly tasty and a feast for the eyes. I think I had the best steak of my life there yesterday... I think the prices are reasonable. I give it a 5-star rating and recommend it across the board... TOP!!!

Yesterday for the first time at beef7. Very good food, attentive, friendly staff and a suitable atmosphere. Not exactly cheap but it's worth it. I'll definitely go there again.

Fantastic food. I had a fillet steak which was cooked perfectly for me ( well done) but very tender still. The service was very reactive and friendly. The ambiance and feel of the restaurant was great. Nice little touches like Japanese Damascus steel knifes to cut the steak.

It's a steakhouse in the center of the old town. They have beef from many countries, Australia, Argentina and America. As a tourist, I definitely tried the local Wolowina. I ordered medium ribeye. Steak has nice fat distribution, but on the dry side. Everything was flavorful!

The super tender meat was positive. Really! The service was very friendly, but the coordination was definitely not great. Either we had the aperitifs but not the snacks, or the starter but not the second round of aperitifs. The chicken supreme consisted of two very slim strips of chicken breast. The service took so long that we had to make room after two hours of the planned reservation.

This restaurant is simply recommended. For the price you get top quality. I only treat myself to a good piece of meat here. The service is also very friendly and attentive. The quality was simply great on every visit. I am looking forward to the next time.

Dear reader, There’s enough photos about this steakhouse to say it all. I would really recommend Beef7 to absolutely anyone. The staff were great, the service homely and second to none. And was overall a refreshing change. This was my first time to dine here and I strongly recommend you try. The meat cuts are great and the wine choice is expansive although affordable. The location is easy to get to if travelling out of town and public parking is close. If your having a special occasion or just wanting to connect with friends, then Beef7 is just the spot to try out. Happy eating and exploring the menu.

6 out of 5 stars…just great! As soon as we entered we were greeted very friendly and shown to the table. Even before we got our hands on the menu, the staff member there informed us about some of the aperitif highlights. Recommendations which we gladly accepted and enjoyed very much. When we were given the menu, we were also informed about some of the house specialties. Even after being gluten-free once, friendly and competent information was promptly provided. The salad chosen as a starter was not only excellent in terms of taste, but also lovingly prepared to look at. The 300g beef fillet (CH) I ordered as a highlight was an absolute hit. I am an absolute meat connoisseur and can only give the fine piece of meat served top marks - and of course the chef accordingly. The fillet was fried to the desired doneness and served attractively on the preheated plate. It's been a long time since I've been able to enjoy such a fine-grained, tender beef fillet. The perfect preparation and quality was also evident in the other pieces of meat ordered. By the way, the bison is also highly recommended. The crispy fries allumettes and the crunchy broccoli with almond slivers rounded off the culinary delight perfectly. Throughout the entire time, the wine and water glasses were constantly refilled by the attentive and cheerful service staff and looked after the right ones without seeming intrusive. Every now and then a nice conversation made us feel really welcome. To round things off, we were finally “persuaded” to have a dessert. Chocolate cakes and crème brûlée were presented in a fiery, sweet manner, and thoughts about the hip rolls were easily pushed into the background. Conclusion...Very well-kept, cozy location, top quality and perfect preparation of the food, extremely friendly and attentive staff who live and love their work. Super nice restaurant and nice lunch menus. One point deducted for the tartare for lunch...sponge in olive oil no longer had any meat flavor (a matter of taste). Unfortunately everything else was great!

Central restaurant in Basel specializing in meats, with a very nice and modern decoration, they have lamps made from Andy Warhol's famous Campbell soup cans. At noon they have a menu where you can choose between salad and cream of first course vegetables and different types of second course meat. We made the vegetable cream which was very tasty and with a spicy touch which was very comforting in the cold of winter. The meats are excellent, we ordered the "Rib-eye" pork fillet which was very good and tender, and the spectacular flambéed beef fillet which was also delicious! Both dishes were accompanied by a separate sauce, vegetables and very finely cut "straw" type fries. We accompanied it with two glasses of the Robusto wine that was recommended to us and that went very well with the meats. The service is very correct, attentive and pleasant. In short, a highly recommended place to which I would return. Apart from the menu they have an extensive menu with many dishes that I would like to try.

By chance we were eating at Beef 7. It will definitely be our favorite place when we are in Basel. Food was very fine. Dessert is a dream. Service was very friendly and quick even though the store was full. We felt very comfortable.

We went to eat on a Tuesday and we were surprised by how good the lunch menu was for less than 45CHF and how well they treated us. First you could choose between salad or vegetable cream, we chose the second option and what a tasty soup. And secondly, depending on the dish you chose, you paid more or less. We ordered the pork chop for 24CHF on the menu, and the beef fillet which is served flambéing for 29CHF. What tender, well-made meats and what good quality! They came accompanied by homemade fries, some creamed spinach, each meat with a separate sauce and a warm mini baguette. We have enjoyed it very much! And we also had 2 glasses of Merlot red wine, water and an espresso. And the bill was 85.60 CHF. Nothing expensive for the quality of the products. I highly recommend it!

The Beef 7 Steakhouse is a top address for meat lovers in Basel. For starters we had the false snails (beef balls from the fillet) and a caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella. For the main course, a Swiss beef fillet with 🍟. At the end we had a chocolate souffle, my friend with vanilla ice cream, I with the hemp ice cream which surprised me a lot, it is really very tasty 😋. When I'm back in Basel I will visit Beef7 again because the food was great.

What a delightful experience! Wonderful food. Kind and attentive waitstaff. Yummy red wine. We had a great time. Beyond steak they get creative with seasonal desserts with chestnuts and their own house made apero liquors made with local ingredients.

Beef7 is the best restaurant in Basel. The service is great!! Our servers were super helpful and made great recommendations. Their steak selection is great I had their special Swiss black Angus steak and my colleague had the rib eye steak. Both of us are super impressed with the service and the food. It is very good!!! Their wine selection is also great. Very interesting wines that paired well with our steaks.

Great steakhouse in Basel. The choice of cuts of meat is excellent and the food is delicious. The homemade beer was good. And the servers are so friendly. Highly recommend.
