Update: was there again yesterday, February 22nd, 2024, there is no longer a big crowd here and more people are working. One more star for that. But the food still didn't really taste good. Terriyaki sauce tastes mostly like soy sauce. Operator sends lawyers to delete “fake” reviews. There's another star deducted for that, which leaves it with two. Lol. Food is ok, sweet potatoes could be more cooked, they are just too hard. Unfortunately, the staff is extremely overwhelmed and understaffed. You wait too long before the order can even be taken (June 4, 2020, 12 p.m.). Then there is a poor person who is supposed to collect the take away orders and the guests in the restaurant. Given the prices, you can still hire two students.

We couldn’t book the table online but they had a few table available, which was great, since the food was tasty, the wasabi mayo in the burger gave a nice spicy ans flavour to it. The atmosphere is nice and the place is cosy and warm.

Delicious, vegetarian food in a modern atmosphere. You can order via QR code at the table (including advance payment with credit card) or at the checkout. The advantage is that you don't have to wait forever for the bill later, you can just go. Service level is ok.

You have to order by phone, and when you order it's preset that you should tip. For what ? At the time I had no contact with the staff. Nobody took my order, so I should leave a tip before I can judge whether I am satisfied with the service? We are not in the USA, so please spare us from this bad habit

Order and pay via QR-Code, no carafe of water and an Espresso costs 4 FRS - Zurich standard?? Otherwise, it's young and modern; the dishes are good, although tiny.... As long as you can say "We're on vacation", it's fine - otherwise too expensive.

It's an environmentally friendly place that hosts a super bowl where I can finally fill my stomach, and the interior was very well decorated. I would definitely like to come again.

Good vegetarian lunch place with fresh food and nice big portions. It's on the expensive side even for Zürich but the food is really nice with lots of flavors. When you arrive you can just sit down and order and pay with your phone, convenient but also feels more like a fast food thing.

Dear Beetnut team I based the review on a previous brunch with you, not on the day I left the review. Your food really leaves a lot to be desired, for example you get a tiny piece of cheesecake for 6.-, which doesn't live up to this term in any way. And no, I'm not a competitor, I'm just a very disappointed guest.

Very very tasty, I had the fake tuna with toast and the vegan pancakes 🥞 both were very tasty. The Fake Tuna was super creamy and had a bite and lots of flavor. The toast bread was amazing, whole grain. The pancakes were great too, just not as sweet. At best they could have tolerated a little sugar. But not too bad. I would like to come back. Latte macchiato was also very good. See you next time

The açaii bowl was delicious and so were the pancakes. Price-performance ratio rather expensive. Staff no longer even have to take the order if you eat on site, QR codes for the card can be found at the seat.

The food was very tasteful and fresh, really enjoyed it, the only annoying thing was the lack of proper ventilation in the place and thus sitting on either of the floors is not comfortable in terms of smelling the food/aromas from the kitchen

Our first time coming here, the staff was very friendly, the bowls (and drinks) were excellent and the atmosphere cozy and relaxed. We're not vegan but didn't miss any meats, the food tasted great regardless. Would highly recommend!

Friendly service, but you don't really notice it because everything is done via QR code, which is a shame. There was also no lovingly decorated table, there wasn't even a candle or anything on it... the food was okay, the coffee was initially undrinkable but was replaced immediately, the açai bowl was almost frozen, unfortunately it was extremely smoky and stuffy because of the open kitchen Clothes smelled like frying oil afterwards. We won't go there anymore.

We went to Beetnut for coffee and cake - unfortunately for the last time. In addition to the smelly, greasy air in the restaurant (vegan fast food at its finest) and the unpleasantly high volume, we were also disappointed by the exorbitant prices.

If you are looking for a simple, clean, and healthy casual meal in Zurich, this is the place. The staff was extremely nice and the food was tasty. Would definitely come back here!

Went there for a rather late brunch so there were available seats and we didn’t have to wait. On the table there is a QR code so the whole ordering process is very easy, you order and pay through your phone. The food was great, the portions were generous as well. We also got coffee, cappuccino, which was ok.

This beautiful Restaurant has an Amazing Location, right next to the Hauptbahnhof. Excellent food, and fantastic Service. The Plant based food is super tasteful, and you really feel healthy after eating one of their nice Salads. Also, the Coffee is excellent! I am already looking forward to eat there again.

I've been to Beetnut twice already. The first time it was pretty new and I really liked it, especially the acai bowls but the second time: The service there was very bad. The woman at the cash register was very nice but there were two men who served the food and "prepared" the table, they were very confused and very unmotivated. They didn't always clean the tables (I noticed) not even with us and it was obviously still dirty. Even though they saw that we were three people, they only gave us two pieces of cutlery. Regarding the food, I have to say that it looked great, but the apple porridge was far too runny and unfortunately had no taste apart from a bit of apple and cinnamon. Fake Tuna was basically very good but I wouldn't really call it Fake Tuna. Maybe as a tip, try the fake Tuna “Vuna” from Migros, which is much closer to Tuna. I actually think Beetnut's idea is really great and would love to support it if the service were friendlier and more hygienic.

The food selection is okay, but not very extensive. Comparable bowls in other restaurants are tastier. The prices are sometimes quite high, especially for the toast. There is a smell of cooking/oil everywhere in the restaurant. A clever kitchen exhaust is probably missing. The service is not very motivated: food is put on the table without explanation or cutlery and you have to puzzle over what is what.

It's the first vegetarian restaurant I've ever visited. It was a great experience. The food is delicious, light and not warm. (I think you can order warm as well.) But my friends recommend cold. For me, I prefer to enjoy this again but in summer. The staffs are kind and attentive. Price is OK.

Nice restaurant, the cappuccino was tasty but sorry... For this price, a smoothie should be smooth and not full of thick pieces of fruit. The brownie would have been great if it wasn't completely sweetened with erythritol (?) but unfortunately very artificial. We had take away and had to move on, otherwise I probably really would have let it go back. You don't have to do it. It's better and cheaper, even in Zurich.

I came here looking for a vegan brunch, and was happy to see that all of their pancakes are vegan by default! My wife had a delicious bagel. Personally, I didn't like the "order and pay at the table" thing they have going, it felt strange and impersonal. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

We were there for a Sunday brunch. The atmosphere with that open kitchen and with that so many plants was excellent. We liked the "order and pay at the table" method and got the food really quickly despite of the place was full of customers. The scrambled tofu with bagel and salad was frenetic and the poke bowl was also fantastic. Marked this place as a favorite and plan to go back to try out the rest of the menu. It is a vegan heaven 🙂

The food is fresh and made at time of order. There are enough options to satisfy most tastes. My only disappointment is that on weekends they don't offer their standard menu until after 5pm

We went there at 2PM.. I asked two different bowls on the menu, they were out of ingredients, I asked a third one and they told me "no we serve this only in the afternoon" (I wonder when the afternoon start in their opinion). Then I tried to ask for toppings and all the three that I chose were not available... Was really disappointed. I ended up taking whatever bowl they still had ingredients for, and the food was overall okay for the price, not even particularly good. Would not go there again & would not recommend

Great breakfast spot! Good vegan options, we had a fake tuna toast and a vegan egg scramble on a bagel. The food was delicious and service is pretty quick. Staff were friendly. Also they are dog friendly, and they offered our dog a water bowl which was nice.

We were there for brunch and our food was very tasty and fresh. The location is very nicely decorated. But unfortunately the service was really bad. I got my food after 30 minutes, my companion (after asking twice) after 50 minutes and we had to ask again for the coffee we ordered.

My sister and I wanted to have a leisurely breakfast in Zurich. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and also very comfortable to sit in. The service, on the other hand, ruins the whole ambience. The staff is very unfriendly and we had to wait over an hour for our breakfast bowl and pancakes. When we asked after 40 minutes where our food was, we were told that the food was already on its way. After that it took another half an hour until it came. There was no apology or compensation.

Food may be ok, but staff was stressed & rude. Waiting time: 45 minutes until the food came.

Horrible food but they have a pretty hot waitress

I treated myself to a little snack at Beetnut. The chocolate zucchini cake and the homemade lemonade blew me away. Highly recommended!
