Beizli am See in Richterswil

Wonderful on a sunny day, especially with kids. There is a relatively large public playground just adjacent and fully visible from the table. I recommend the lime iced tea with a cake. And a nice bath in the lake in the free Horn park it is located in.

I really like the new concept, it's nice to be able to eat something in the evening now. The food is very tasty and the staff is very friendly. Only the price-performance ratio is a bit imbalanced. Two more chicken nuggets or fish crispy would be nice and free ketchup for the fries.

In spring 2023 I had chicken bites with salad for lunch and went home hungry - it was 4 chicken bites on salad for CHF 19.50. Today 4 months later - I decided to have chicken bites with French fries for lunch and I was shocked - there were three French fries on a large portion!!!! Chicken bites. This is absolutely unreasonable for CHF 19.50 for the portion and definitely not family friendly for Richterswil. It's a real shame, we will avoid the restaurant in the future.

Beizli am See - part of the youth hostel, this gem has places inside the building but even more beautiful outside under the shade of chestnut trees. Children's playground right in front including sunbathing lawn and access to the lake. Small but fine selection of cold and warm dishes and fresh cakes. A must when visiting Richterswil! Update 2023: Unfortunately not so great anymore. They tried to make it a chic, chic location. It didn't work out except for the now poor price-performance ratio. Sorry, but 19 CHF for a portion of fries with 3 (three!) chicken nuggets is massively exaggerated.

Food is good, relatively expensive but very small portions. Unfortunately, very little is always poured: “Aperol, Prosecco, wine, etc..” The prices might be lower for not being served. The crew is nice, the atmosphere is nice!

Nice ambience by the lake. Self-service. There are usually free places available.

Music too loud. You can't have a conversation there. When I go to the horn, I want to enjoy nature without constant sound. Unfortunately, there is nowhere nearby to avoid this noise, even on public benches next door you have to listen to music.

5 Fischkusberchen for 21.- is a cheeky thing. but they were very good for that.

It's very pleasant to spend a nice evening at the lake with the kids and still have something good to eat. We always enjoy coming here.

Very nicely located. Shady trees. Pleasant ambience, although the music is a bit too loud and is annoying. Unfortunately there are no seat cushions on the hard benches.

We have often been guests at the Beizli am See in recent years. Always top salad, chicken nuggets, pizzas, ice cream and falafel. But things went steadily downhill this year. The chicken nuggets that used to taste as good as homemade are not nearly the same quality. I would say that there are comparable finished products in Migros or Coop. The same goes for the falafel balls and the salad (brown rotten spots everywhere) Nothing has changed in the charm of the pub and the friendliness of the staff. Despite everything: a real shame

Great location in Horn Richterswil. Swimming, relaxing, large playground, just a great place.

We loved the Beizli im Horn... even celebrated our wedding aperitif there. Unfortunately, something has changed. The beloved chicken nuggets (fillet) are now pressed nuggets, but the price remains the same. Salad was floating in the sauce.. Fries taste different too.. Waiting times were never long before.. Now our order has even been forgotten :-( tedious when 3 hungry children are waiting. Location is of course great.. but we would also like to eat fine again.

Consumption overpriced otherwise very nice facility

We had something to eat here today and then spent the day at the lake. We were really surprised: there were actually pizzas that tasted really good and were served on a stick. The fish crispies with salad also tasted very good. The service is quick, friendly and there is also enough space both in the shade and in the sun. All in all we were quite satisfied.

Beautiful setting on Lake Zurich (Zürichsee) very suitable for families. There are stairs to the lake where you can swim. There is also a dining area (snack bar) and there is park supervision that keeps an eye on everything.

Beautiful Bistro Beizli on the Richterswil Horn right on the lake. Typical bistro food, but good. With a large playground.

A nice place to relax, the food is ok, nothing special but good 👍

The waiter worked quickly, cleanly and nicely. The restaurant really has the potential to become my new regular restaurant. I think the selection is wide-ranging and most of what was served to me still tasted absolutely great. The armchairs are very comfortable and I find the distance between the tables to be very acceptable. There you don't get the feeling of dining like fish in a can.

Food is good, the place is really nice for families since there is a playground nearby. They have places outside. It would have been a 5 star rating if the service was friendlier.

It could like to extend the opening times in the summer months. That would be very well received. Wow, now open until 10 p.m. on Fridays

Was very quiet today on Monday June 3rd, 2019, on my birthday. The two of us with Renate had a salad and two chickens in the Chörbli. Very good under new management, keep it up. LG Armin

Simply too expensive. I just don't find Lake Zurich "special" enough to charge utopian prices because of its scenery. The food is good and with the kids at the horn you can have ice cream and coffee every now and then... It's OK

Simply a wonderful place. Right on the lake and ideal with children as it has a great playground. Very friendly service and the homemade tarts and cakes are simply wonderful.

An average place close to the lake, they have limited options but it's nice for a quick bite and some cold drinks, also there is a kids playground nearby and trees to provide shade. Very close to the port and there are grilling places nearby.

Wonderful park, tablrs, and swimming area in crystal clear water. The small cafeteria seemed to have limited selection but plenty snacks - though we didnt try any.
