Restaurant Sternensee in Richterswil

We had a very tasty meal in the Sternensee restaurant. The soup of the day (wild garlic soup) was very tasty and the shrimp cocktail also tasted refreshing and different than usual. All 4 main courses were impressive both in terms of appearance and taste. The veal lambs were tender as butter, the gourmet Möckli were served in an excellent spicy sauce, the crispy fish were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and the Züri sliced ​​meat was also great. The portions are huge and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. The service was always attentive and friendly despite the full dining room. Thanks to the whole Sternensee team for the great evening

We were in transit with a stopover at the Rest. Sternensee. We were only able to enjoy an aperitif because we didn't have the time to stay longer. Friendly and competent service. Great and well-kept atmosphere. :)

Today I had lunch with 3 of my favorite women...The food was very well cooked and beautifully presented...The service gets a golden crown 👑 We were completely satisfied...We'll be happy to come back.....

Very nice and clean and good enough location to get to by car, waitress is very nice but served so many tables which caused once a misunderstanding of drinks and speed. I ordered the cashmere rice and I was aware it had stuff to do with fruits and flavour, the sauce was just too fruity and sweet with the meat, it tasted like blent bananas and barely anything else and the portion view was weird and gigantic, I really care about the global earth and really recommend having different sizes at such meals, I hate food waste! The meat meals sauce was also blend and barely flavoured with spices! I also recommend going during the day, slowly think the chefs are different depending on the time and cause differences and expectations

Very good cuisine, the food is great every time. It is covered in white but still cozy. The staff is very accommodating.

As we were driving through we saw the big signpost on the main road and hungrily turned off. At first we thought that we turned too early because we had to drive through a residential area at 30 km/h and since it was already dark, we missed the second sign to turn right and had to do a lap of honor. The parking lot was already pretty full, which usually bodes well. As expected, the restaurant was busy and we had to wait briefly at the bar until we were escorted to a table. The “Casa Salad” was fresh and tasted really good with the French sauce. The bread served with it also tasted fresh. The “Egli-Knusperli” were fried crispy in a really tasty (beer?) batter and were served, as a fitness dish, on a lavish salad plate. The “fresh veal lambs with rösti” were served hot with crispy fried potatoes that were probably made from raw potatoes and tasted just right. The price-performance ratio matched the quality and quantity of the food served and the staff were very attentive and friendly despite the many guests and were always happily chatting around. The sanitary facilities in the basement are easily accessible even with a wheelchair thanks to a stair lift and were very clean.

12/8/23 6:30 p.m Had a great Christmas dinner there, location was nice, just a bit out of the way directly opposite the toilets, could be annoying. Worse was the big event upstairs with 90 people whistling and cheering. Therefore only 3 points for ambience. The parking situation was even more stupid, probably due to the occasion, but everything was full and you had to park far away on the street. The fellow guests weren't exactly the quietest either, which didn't exactly promote normal conversation, but what can you do. Food was great, tasted very good, well decorated and was brought to the table quickly. Everything could have been a little bigger, the prices are quite high. All in all, a lovely evening. Saw a sign by chance, drove there and received a very friendly welcome. We were early, 4 seats for ourselves in a quiet room. Everything was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated with dry flowers. Drinks and food recommendations were comprehensively professional and flexible. top kitchen fulfilled all wishes. The wine selection is also varied. Many thanks to the whole team! we will be back!

This restaurant with beer garden is a real treasure! The relaxed atmosphere in the beer garden is perfect for a sunny day or a cozy evening. The food was delicious and I was impressed by the wine selection. The friendly staff made us feel completely comfortable. We will definitely come back to enjoy the wonderful combination of good food and outdoor enjoyment.

The three of us were able to spend a very successful Saturday evening in a relaxed atmosphere in the secluded garden. Very friendly, attentive service who are happy to respond to explicit requests. The menu is manageable, varied and varied, so I would be happy to come back to discover more treasures. On the occasion of my first visit a month ago, I and my companion were impressed by the Sternensee Vegiburger. Now I was tempted by the summer hit - star lake salad with giant prawns - very delicate. I have never enjoyed such buttery tender veal lamb and not at all with a bloody/metallic taste - simply delicious, including the jus! I can also highly recommend the warm chocolate cake as a sweet finish. Thank you for the successful, relaxed and sociable evening. Our rating refers to "Other", i.e. "afternoon coffee and cake" On this beautiful summer afternoon we would like to meet in a shady, quiet restaurant for coffee and cake. (Some want something like strawberry cake, others want a piece of cake or patisserie, Coupe Denmark or Romanoff are the wishes, nut croissants or fruit salad.) We decide on the beautifully situated Star Lake. The garden restaurant at the beautiful house in the middle of nature is fantastic. The trees🌳🌳🌳 and the gentle wind refresh and create a great atmosphere.👍Bew.5 The friendly and well-positioned lady from the service is top❣Bew.5 We quickly get the drinks and the dessert menu. Unfortunately we only find ice cream balls, some with a desired accompaniment. Two of us order these, The others don't feel like having ice cream and stick with the drink. The caramel ice cream with coffee was okay. Mango was only available vegan and it had an unpleasant aftertaste. It should be mentioned that both ice cream balls were presented very beautifully and lovingly.💐 Because people politely asked why we weren't satisfied, Bew.3 Constructive: We thought it was a shame that there was only such a limited range of desserts to choose from. Today we made a hiking stop at the Sternensee restaurant. We were greeted very friendly and served attentively throughout our stay. The food was very tasty and the quantity was more than sufficient. The autumnal table decorations were appropriate and beautiful to look at. We'd love to come back.

Dinner in the garden We made a reservation by phone and were greeted very friendly. We ordered starter and main course, everything was prepared perfectly... we asked for enough time between starter and main course... it worked out perfectly. Our rose wine was served in an ice bucket. It was a perfect evening in a cozy garden restaurant. We'll definitely come back. Many thanks to the staff at Sternensee.

Price/performance is not right - too expensive

Very long wait for the main course. And finally received an incomplete menu. Bill was simply placed on the table as one bill, even though six people had to pay individually. Food not prepared creatively or satisfactorily.

Very good food. Zürigeschnetzletes for 38chf is ok. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo. In summer you can eat outside. There are enough shaded areas. Very friendly service

I wanted to eat a salad. There were BUGS inside. Gross. They brought me another salad and again with BUGS. The truth is, I don't know if they wash the salad. Very bad experience. It's a shame because the place is beautiful. I didn't have to pay anything. Never to return. That has never happened to me.

Reservation by telephone didn't work. Apparently no one wrote anything down! When ordering, the staff slept again and charmingly ignored the small changes! The flies were annoying, you had the feeling of being in a stable! The coup and the drinks were good!

On a Friday evening I was walking to the Sternensee restaurant with my colleague and our two dogs. We would have liked to treat ourselves to a cool drink there. The garden restaurant was not even half full. We then wanted to sit at a table in the shade when the waitress came. Whether we would like to drink or eat something and whether we have made a reservation. We then said that we would like to have a drink but didn't make a reservation. The gentleman's gesture was special, because we were almost laughed at, à la - you're crazy, there's no room without a reservation. We then said that there were still various tables available and that we would of course leave as soon as someone came. The only place that was offered to us was in the blazing sun - it has to be mentioned that if this had been put aside a bit it would have been a great place in the shade... The behavior was really very unfriendly and you have guests who just like to have a drink We don't want to... or maybe it was because of our dogs ;) They would have liked something to drink too ;) The first and last time there!

The best burger I've eaten in a long time. Beautiful garden and friendly service. Since there was a larger company there, we had to wait a little longer than expected for our food. A short warning would have been welcome here. Otherwise it would be a well-deserved 5 stars.

We were really forgotten in the Stübli in the basement called by phone to order dessert and coffee then not even any dessert was brought and for the bill about 45 minutes after dessert we had to call again because no one ever showed up. Catastrophe 1 time never again!!!

First of all, there was nothing wrong with the food. However, the following experience marred a long-standing “tradition”. We had held our club general meeting a few times, followed by dinner in the Sternensee. The innkeeper was informed about the general meeting in a separate room. A few minutes before the start, he said we had to vacate the room in an hour. Great communication from the host, we had telephone contact 2 days before and nothing was mentioned about it. We then held our general meeting at high speed, and after 1 hour we were kindly told to give up the room. Thank you very much Mr. La Mela, by the way, there were only 6 guests in this room afterwards. P.S.; and thank you very much for your feedback on our email, which we are still waiting for today. The two stars go entirely to the kitchen. The preparation of the food is really good. However, when we visited the restaurant, the service was a disaster. Waited about 70 minutes for lunch after ordering. When we asked the service, they improvised hectically and the dishes were rather lukewarm. Hunger ultimately drove us in because we didn't feel like waiting another hour.

Went there for lunch on business, so that was the plan. After almost an hour we asked when we would get our food and the answer was "immediately". Instead, the neighboring table, which came half an hour after us, received its food. After another half hour we left. We had reserved and it was still not possible to get lunch there in 1 1/2 hours!

It was a very nice evening with my parents and my own children. My boy isn't even 2 yet and my daughter just turned 1 month old. Our boy became tired and loud. This is uncomfortable for us too, but he is a little boy who can only express his feelings this way. But the main problem was the waiter's reaction, he shouted at my wife: "It's loud, make sure he's quiet!" Very unprofessional, the situation could have been handled differently and in a friendlier manner. We won't be going again, even though we were happy guests for many years. My advice: Don't go to the Sternensee restaurant with young children who might be loud.

I can only recommend the Sternensee restaurant. The Sternenseeburger is really, really tasty - the bun alone is really a blast! Due to Corona, the menu is currently rather manageable, but a visit is definitely worth it. The service, like the other staff, was very nice and made a big effort to help us. The restaurant is located on the Sternensee, has a really chic beer garden and is definitely worth a visit :)
