The view was breathtaking but the service was very poor and quite abrupt. We did not feel welcome.

Save your money! The view is the only good thing up here… bring your own snacks and bottled coffee to enjoy over looking the beautiful view minutes before! Customer service here was appalling.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful place with views of the lake, very quiet and great to rest and eat something. However, the people who wear it cannot be more rude. As soon as we arrive we sit on one of the sun loungers while we decide what to have and one of the owners appears saying that we can only be there if we consume or pay €10 to sit (they even have a blackboard where it says it). We thought it was a very shabby gesture as soon as we arrived after a route, plus we were deciding on the food. Then I go to look at the menu, since they don't have it outside, and I ask for one in English and the girl says only in German. It doesn't seem like a very good deal to me since there were many tourists from different countries, the normal thing is to have it at least in English for those who don't speak German (and on top of that being Switzerland, where French and Italian are also spoken). They also had another large board indicating that the bathroom was for customers only (in case someone wants to go after a 50-minute route...) Anyway, we left without taking anything. It's a shame that a place like this is wasted because of those small, crude gestures, so it doesn't make you want to take anything. Not to mention the prices, €6 for a Coca Cola.

As soon as you sit down, the staff starts telling you "it's a place only for consumers!!!". No chance to look at the menu. They also don't accept card payments. Great example of a great location with a bad guest company that has no motivation to treat its guests well. Better go to another place.

On the hike you have the opportunity to buy drinks here and take a short break.

The staff would be better off looking for another profession. Both the man and woman were very unfriendly and grumpy. There are signs everywhere with rules and prohibitions. You are continuously monitored and they are immediately ready to correct you. If you can't communicate, you really have no business working in the catering industry. Certainly not in such a beautiful place where you come to relax and enjoy.

Beautiful view! Shame about the clumsy staff who immediately wanted to throw a drone out of the sky with a stone. Then just indicate in a normal way that it is not allowed.

Very unfriendly staff! From the upper terrace I saw the owner (Peter) running towards his guests with a stone in his hand because those people wanted to take a family photo with their drone. Scandalous!!! View was very nice :)

The location is great, unfortunately, they don't post hours, and you are at the mercy of if they happen to be open during your long hike. For us, we were excited to get to this point of the hike to take a break and have a drink and snack, but it was closed.

Nice, simple mountain house. It only has drinks, but if you buy one you can consume your own things at the table (picnic). You can only pay in cash. An ideal place for a short break after the climb from Oeschinensee

Pure enjoyment 😊 After a strenuous, sweaty hike with the best conditions, we fortified ourselves in the bärgli. We had food with us and were able to consume it directly on site by purchasing drinks. The view seemed almost unreal, painted. This view of the wonderful Oeschinesee, embedded and protected by the mountains. After a little refreshment, we went back down... for others we went further up. Anyway, the bärgli is small, nice and worth a visit. 😊😊

Nice and friendly service... Apart from a few snacks, there are only drinks to consume here, but you can enjoy the sandwich you brought with you with a cool drink and a beautiful view... Toilet available for guests... You can only pay with cash...

The worst service with warm drinks. The lady screams at you front of all the customers for using her toilet because she automatically assumes you will not buy any drinks. Downstairs table is self service and it smells bad. Drinks are warm and she is very RUDE and unfriendly . I highly recommend you get your drinks top of the hill instead.

a nice, cozy mountain hut on the way around the lake at an altitude of 1,800 meters. Here you can only pay in cash and there are only drinks. A toilet is also available.

Warm, friendly host, cold beer and a delicious “Plattli” round off your visit to the Unterbärgli. Always happy and it's been far too long.
