Food was great. We had the food on the table very quickly. It was beautifully presented and very tasty. We find prices to be more than fair for Swiss conditions.

Positive: Ordering system, super easy and efficient. Fast and friendly service, warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Negative: small portion of ravioli, chicken nuggets unfortunately not made from chicken breast and high prices: the two dishes, 1 iced tea & 1 Cola for > 60 CHF

First of all, the general conditions: We only got there at 2:30 p.m., so there was very, very little going on. Nevertheless, we felt like we had our food at 2:31 p.m. So far so good. The burger was awesome, really highly recommended. The mountain cheese is a bit stinky, but for most people in a good way. The children's portion of vegan ravioli is enough for an adult lady with a slight hunger and is prepared with fresh wild mushrooms. Excellent! The fries were fresh from the deep fryer and super tasty with enough mayo and ketchup. Of course the price is a bit high for a normal German. But if you go to Switzerland and would like the prices of your local pub, you should probably go skiing in your local pub. 0.33 cl of beer for a 6er is already steep, but you won't do anything for a good hop drink.

Too expensive. Poor menu. But there we were. I’m not a fan of online ordering (asking for tip in advance? Sorry?), but I was expecting a fast service at least. Not at all. 30 minutes waiting. Chicken nuggets dry, like fried the day before, disgusting. We didn’t touch them. When the waiter came to ask how was the food and we shared that fact, his answer was “well, you know, one day good, the other not so good”. Excuse me? Horrible place, I will never come back. Please, avoid it.

I always find it very nice here! I am very satisfied with the food and the service. The “host Leo” goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. It makes me sad when someone writes something different. (I think a self-service restaurant is better - it could just be a joke!!!). I also really like the atmosphere of the wooden log cabin, as well as the pleasant music in the background! So: Open up, hop up - otherwise we'll run out of time for you!!!! Where??? - of course up on the mountain to the STÄTZ ALP!!!!!!

There were 4 of us who all ordered the same menu. To our amazement, after 5 minutes of ordering via the mobile phone app, the complete cordon bleu with the fries arrived. Calling something like that Cordon Bleu borders on megalomania. Terrible. The fries, which were already soggy, and a cordon bleu without cheese and served dry, at a price of just 36 CHF, was never, ever worth it. Suggestion: Order a pizza delivery service. All you have to do is unpack the boxes and arrange them on the plates. You can still slap the usury on it. No more!

Never eaten such a bad cordon bleue. (dry) Complaint was received with a shrug of the shoulders. Really a disappointment! Never again. There were 4 of us - we all ate the cordon bleue. Everyone has the same opinion, price performance is catastrophic! By the way, this is the first time that I have complained and written a review.

Food came after 20 minutes, that was ok. But not the drinks. When we asked, the answer was that it could happen and it had only been 21 minutes. This answer doesn't work at all given the prices.

QR Code ordering takes some getting used to, but is very easy to use! The employees are also friendly and always willing to help.

New for us at Alp Stätz: only served. You order food at the table using your cell phone with a QR code. The service was quick and very friendly and attentive. Questions about gluten-free dishes were answered well and checked again with the kitchen. The food was very tasty and the portions were good! We really wanted to try the churros, which are available from 2 p.m. (they're only on the electronic menu then). The pastry was fresh and tasty, but was not what we know as churros. But good! We would like to come back next year and hope that the good quality continues.

A pity. Unfortunately no more self-service. But another, absolutely overpriced restaurant on Lenzi. Waiting time for 4 menus in the almost empty restaurant was 40 minutes! Portions are way too small and way too expensive! The “hot gentleman sandwich” for example is just a little meat between two slices of toast!! That's really not possible! For 22.- without fries...and it's served cold🙈 Chicken nuggets obviously look different almost every day... ours had an Asian flavor. rice instead of breadcrumbs...the kids didn't like it. We don't like the atmosphere anymore either. (Terrace is nice, but the area with the bar inside is “creepy”)! All in all a huge disappointment! Before, the alp stätz was much nicer, better and more practical. We're definitely not coming back!

After the successful, gentle renovation and obviously new management, the Alp Stätz restaurant is highly recommended. The friendliness and attention of the staff was impressive and pleasant. We actually had the feeling of being valued and welcomed as guests again. We'll be back and we'll be happy to spread the word...

Children's menu although large portion but chicken nuggets made from chicken thighs with special breading Mixed salad with vinegary vegetables with a very strong note of clove... takes a lot of getting used to

Mac n' Cheese is definitely NOT recommended. What I got had very little to do with mac n' cheese. Very oily, bland and the pasta was overcooked and really mushy.

Food (Mac & Cheese + bacon cubes): It tasted okay, but there was a bit too much liquid on the bottom of the plate. I appreciated the hot cast iron plate. I think the price of 27.- is relatively high. It's clear that you have to pay more on the slopes, but I still think it's a bit too much Service: I find ordering (+ payment) via QR code very practical. You receive the order without long waiting times. Well solved. At the same time, you also pay the tip, which is pre-selected. For me this has nothing to do with scam as other reviewers call it, but it reminds me a lot of the USA. The service is friendly and deserves a tip, I'm not complaining.

Nice restaurant with a great view. The ravioli are not recommended because they were first served cold and were only warm the second time. In addition, the portion would be ok for a gourmet menu with 7 courses, but far too small for just one course. Mac and cheese wasn't as expected either, wasn't warm despite the cast pan, and the lumpy cheese didn't make it any better. The bacon cubes, which cost an additional 3 francs, were neither crispy nor warm. When asked if the food was good, we answered mediocre. The waiter didn't go into it any further and just offered a coffee as a solution, not wanting to know what was wrong. The high prices also contribute to the fact that this was our first and last visit.

Very cozy inside, but there is not a single vegan milk alternative - not at all contemporary. That's why we didn't stay.

Unfortunately definitely NOT recommended! Unfortunately, the new ordering system doesn't work at all, you have to expect waiting times of at least 1 hour, for us it was 1 hour 20 minutes. Even the drinks were only served after half an hour. Such waiting times are simply too long in a ski restaurant! Day passes now cost around 90.00, and making skiers wait an hour and a half in the restaurant for their food is a disgrace and a complete rip-off. We were able to put the nice weather aside after eating in this restaurant; when we were finished, everything was already in the shade. When the food finally came, it was ICE COLD, not even lukewarm. Taste OK, but definitely unsatisfactory for these prices and this service. I first had to ask for ketchup with my fries, which took another quarter of an hour, and the previous guests' dishes were only cleared away by the service staff after repeated questions and grumbling. The only plus point is the relatively varied menu, with some original, modern dishes. The Arosa-Lenzerheide ski area is one of my favorites, but I have now found out where I will definitely NOT have lunch again.

Long waiting times (30 minutes) for overpriced coffee from the machine. The other guests' food looked good. However, we refrained from ordering due to the waiting times.

The food was great, as was the ambience. But the service is miserable, extremely long waiting times even for simple dishes like soup (>1 hour) and uncoordinated. The food comes before the drink, the last person gets the drink when the first one has already finished dessert, which is absolutely insufficient.

Actually great with the ordering system via app. BUT Drinks and food were ordered together, drinks were received when we had already been sitting in front of our empty ones for 10 minutes (food came quickly). Nachos with pulled beef okay, even if with a rather lean portion of meat. Spare ribs are great. But 39.- for 4 rib bones with some meat is an outrage! In the restaurant just a few meters further down the slopes you can get a whole Costini (also pork ribs) with fries and salad for 29.-! Unfortunately, it was probably the first and last visit for us after the tenant changed.

I really like the digital ordering system. Finally a step into the future. It's new and there are certainly still a few teething problems to be ironed out. When it comes to eating, I like the Canadian-inspired menu. The staff was very friendly and we got our food within 10 minutes. But we weren't there during the high Christmas/New Year season.

A drama, starting this year there is no self-service anymore (which worked perfectly) and they are totally unable to cope with kitchen service. The worst is that since you have to order and pay in advance (including tips!!!) you are a taken hostage of their incapability to deliver. So we payed 120.- for food and then wasted 1h45 minutes of our ski tickets until we could eat (which costs indirectly another 50.-). People around us were leaving after 60 minutes without having eaten and probably without their money. Never again.

The restaurant is under new management, unfortunately ordering via code doesn't work yet and is very unfriendly to customers, extremely long waiting times, and no competent employees. We won't be coming as guests this winter. Maybe we'll give up the young concept next winter one more chance.

The price performance was a disgrace! 21.00 francs for a burger without fries that wasn't even good, that's simply not acceptable. In addition, you have to pay the tip in advance. Who wants to pay tips in advance when you don't even know who is serving you? However, the children's menus are large and reasonable for the price.

Waited half an hour for dessert, half of the ice cream had already melted away. Service staff said it would definitely be quicker next time...

A long wait for a bad portion of fries. Unfortunately, the hut is not recommended at all!! The staff was friendly but you don't pay €80 for a ski ticket to sit in the hut for 2 hours. Dodge on others!

The Alp Stätz would be well located and the atmosphere definitely invites you to stop off. Unfortunately, today we had to wait an hour for food for the umpteenth time, despite the restaurant being half empty (3 p.m.). We would like to positively mention the short conversation at the table where we apologized and praised improvement or were assured that things were now "under control". So we'll try again. Btw. We would very much welcome a few more meat-free alternatives when it comes to eating.

Greatly furnished restaurant, nice and courteous team, very creative and exciting food concept - not run-of-the-mill, very refreshing next to the usual average Schnipo and spaghetti bolo offer, which can still be found in ski huts! Innovative ordering system, the restaurant keeps up with the times! We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back!

SAD and SHAME. Things definitely used to be better! We miss the SELF-SERVICE RESTAURANT. We had to wait 59 minutes for our food today. At 1:30 p.m. we submitted our order online and paid via Twint. The meal was served at 2:29 p.m. It was a complete disaster. Hungry skiers and empty bellies all around. What causes this immense waiting time probably remains a mystery. Shortage of staff? If so, then a sign would have to be put up at the entrance indicating a possible waiting time for food or seats would have to be cordoned off. We were also delivered the wrong salad. We ate it anyway because we were too hungry. As compensation, we were treated to a coffee and a nut croissant (we could have chosen any drinks we wanted, but unfortunately we lost the desire for that). The 4.50 Fr that we had paid too much because of the salad that was delivered incorrectly was not refunded to us, so we actually paid for the coffee OURSELVES and the icing on the cake was the compensation. Nevertheless, the boss was very friendly. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the waiting time. We saw various guests canceling their meal. The three people sitting next to us at the next table threw in the towel after 1 hour and 15 minutes and left after ordering the food from the boss. 10 minutes later their food was brought to the empty table. Zero coordination ☹ Beverages: Totally overpriced 5.50Fr - there are only 33cl bottles of Cola / Sprite / etc. If you're very thirsty you'll have to dig deep into your pockets. Water still and loud is available in a 4dl glass. So not even a big bottle for families. An impudence. I can hardly afford a day of skiing as a family and then that. House ice tea is also available in a 4dl glass. To eat: The food MUST be ordered yourself via QR code. Actually a SUPER COOL idea. But then it turns out to be less practical. According to the menu there is cordon bleu and ginger turmeric tea. Neither can be ordered ONLINE. The online prices do not match the prices on the menu either (that should be mentioned in passing… there are some errors). Fries excellent Chicken nuggets good Salad good Nut croissants very good Tip: So you have to give your tip before eating and before you have had contact with a server. So what do you choose? And then you wait 59min or 75min…. how was the service then? And do you get your tip back (?), because God knows such a service isn't worth a tip... PS: Tables were sticky and in some cases the old dishes only took a long time to be cleared away (see photo)

This restaurant (if you can call it that way) was the worst experiences i ever had. The service was rude and the food made me sick looking at. As you can see in the picture the fries were disgusting. They also had a scam like scheme for tip money BE AWARE.

There's a reason why this restaurant requires tips and payment in advance. With these extravagant waiting times and such an attitude on the part of the staff, I'm SURE that not even half of those who ordered would stay seated, let alone pay a tip... We waited over 1 hour 15 for overpriced, mediocre fries and sub-par poutine's. We didn't even receive an apology for this presumption, just nekish comments. Do yourself a favor and avoid this cabin!

The food and drinks are too expensive, I feel ripped off. Cordon bleu for 36.- served with carelessly limp baked vegetables. For the burger you pay an extra 8.50 for the fries! I think the ordering system with QR code is ok, but the poor service employees simply don't get tips anymore, because who pays for the tip in advance? The “sustainably regional” food concept does not fit the location. As a family you become poor if you eat there, there is no cheap daily menu. We were there for the first and last time.

60 minutes waiting time for the "Spaghetti Bolognese" meal at 2 p.m. and the restaurant half empty.... simply an imposition. Even if the quality was good...this is a reason not to eat here on a ski day anymore...According to the staff, an internal system that is not yet fully developed...toitoitoi for the new year 🤣

This is sad. The new concept for Alp Stätz is a disappointment. The menu tries too hard to be something that Alp Stätz is Not. Please bring back the service side, the Älper Macaroni and the cost reasonable food. 😐

The ambience is very nice, it was extremely quiet and pleasantly warm. The food wasn't that good, I had the ribs for 39.- just too expensive. It had a not very good sauce on top that was just sour. As a side dish there were vegetables that weren't on the menu and also poutine that didn't have gravy on top. I also had a 0.33l Cola Zero which cost 5.50. So sorry, we are in Switzerland and also in the mountains but really 5.50 for a Coke from a glass bottle?

We waited a very long time for food. Then it wasn't brought at the same time and I was finished before the others got theirs. And unfortunately it was cold when it was served😐

Well, the food is the Stätzer Cordon Bleu 🤔 Sorry, but that's nonsense!! For 36.00 CHF I expect a reasonable size Cordon Bleu even in “expensive Switzerland” and not that!! Otherwise, the Spare Rips for 39.00 CHF would be recommended

The Palomas Burger was basically still raw inside and was not edible for me and my colleague. I also find the price of 4.80 for a glass of water very high

A great place, the staff were friendly and spoke English which was very helpful and service was prompt. Free wi-fi for online ordering was very convenient. The location was absolutely stunning with incredible viewd and perfectly placed for a much-needed break and drinks!

No self service anymore, they wouldn’t take cash (or the waiter didn’t understand that bit of German). CHF 28 for chicken nuggets!!!! …that took 1 hour to arrive. It’s a pity, it used to be a really good place… 🤷🏻‍♂️

The “juicy” chicken nuggets were not juicy and the meat was a bit older.

The Alp Stätz was destroyed. Where for years you could eat relatively well and with little waiting time in self-service, there is now only service, at prices that are beyond good and evil. Waiting time: forever despite the half-empty restaurant.

Having to queue for over 30 minutes for a burnt burger

After waiting for over 30 minutes at the self-service counter, as the chef T. L. only served one of the two queues, the BurgerBun was burnt and the fries were only lukewarm. German is also a foreign language in the kitchen and checkout, so there is no question of friendliness. Not recommended.

I waited about half an hour for the burger. This one was ok, only the bun was burnt. The chefs don't really know much about their job.

The food is OK, nothing more. However, if one person at the table spends more than 35 minutes. If you have to wait for a simple hash brown and watch while everyone else at the table eats their food, more than a succinct "We're sorry" would be appropriate! The responsible staff still has a lot of room for improvement.

Ate a really bad Rösti for the first time in Switzerland. The self-service area has an ambience like a simple canteen. The other dishes didn't really look appetizing either. Not really recommended. What should be highlighted, however, is the friendly staff.

The ribs here were fantastic! The waiters bring you your drink super quickly even when the restaurant is packed.

Good selection of food, not too much but everyone can find something. Quality of food is good! Terrace is good, but most of the tables are at right angles to the midday sun ---> you only get brown or red on one side 😃. Musical sound from the snow bar right next door, but it was totally ok and the volume was decent. Highly recommended for a ski break and lunch.

Self-service restaurant located directly on the slopes. Quality of the food is ok for the price. Rösti with egg was fine. Chicken nuggets very dry and not good quality. Unfortunately there was constant noise from the roof at our table, so our jackets were wet. There were blankets to keep warm and music from the umbrella bar.

I worked there and they didn't pay me my children's allowance, the boss is a thief, it's been 5 years and he never sent the money to Portugal again, a big cheat

Excellent Alpine inn with a feel-good factor, perfect cuisine, good-humored, very nice staff 🔝! Divided into a restaurant with service or self-service or EARLYBIRD - skiing with a breakfast buffet on an unimaginable scale! You definitely have to experience this! Simply unimaginably brilliant!!!

A joke! Overpriced for such small portions. 15fr. for a portion of fries with chicken nuggets that is so big that you could sell it as an aperitif snack...

Self service part was disappointing. 15.50 Fr for a mini plate of chicken nuggets and fries. Take-away with plates and tablets is weird.

A good place for a ski slope restaurant. But there are definitely better options around.
