Bergrestaurant Hannigalp in Grächen

Food happens sometimes, if the chef has a good day it tastes good. If there is a pizza mix-up, you will be spoken to at the table in the most rude manner, the piper at the table will leave, the chef will give out a pizza that doesn't seem to be correct and the guests will be yelled at for it. We are very disappointed that guests are held responsible for mistakes that they cannot do anything about... above all, such a problem can be resolved sensibly and not in a way that the staff patrol the table and see which guests they were.

We have been coming to Grächen for years and have always felt comfortable in Hannigalp. Unfortunately not at all this year. There isn't much left of the "children's paradise" to play in. A lot of things were broken and there wasn't a single ball left in the ball pit. And the staff is unfriendly like never before, despite the relaxed location, especially in the off-season. We were always able to pay in euros because there weren't many francs at the start of the vacation. But a certain employee at the checkout brushed me off with the words: "We are Swiss, here you pay in francs." I haven't seen a smile from any employee at the checkout this holiday. Starting tomorrow we'll take our breaks at the relay or in the Hannighüsli.

I really enjoyed the chicken nuggets with fries. However, I didn't like the high price of 4.95 francs for 3.3 dl of Coca-Cola (estimated purchase price of 1 CHF). I can only warmly recommend the children's paradise.

Practical restaurant for with children. The carpet is very comfortable and there is a large indoor playground in the basement for the children. 2dl of syrup costs Fr. 2.- and 3dl of syrup costs Fr. 4.-. The pizzas are great. Many other things are convenience food. For self-service it is the top price level. The tables are always cleaned and it is clean. All in all, it was a success. There are good alternatives in the area if you don't have to rely on the playground.

What else to say about (tug gastro AG)? I worked from 2015 until 2019, where I resigned for professional reasons. Yesterday I visited the restaurant and was very poorly received. Everything was so good when Heinz Paris was the manager. Today everything fell apart, it's sad......

Very practical family restaurant right next to the train with plenty of space and a varied selection. Nice outside terrace. And for fries and co. you don't have to wait in line for long anymore.

Marianne and her team do a great job. The large and extensive selection of great, freshly prepared food and drinks means that you can eat in the restaurant for a whole week (even with children) and always find something new and delicious. Of course it's busy at lunchtime, but the employees work quickly and always remain courteous and friendly. It is also a great children's restaurant with a large play area. Marianne always has time for a few kind words and she helps where she can. Compared to restaurants in other ski resorts, the restaurant is truly exceptional. We would like to come again.

I think the restaurant comparison has become much more expensive from 2023 to 2024. Less assortment than last year and quality in the morning only peaks at cakes 🍰 (no bread) Butter confit is there At lunchtime it's like feeding an animal without any friendliness at the checkout. You have to be careful Employees are totally unfriendly, typing more than the normal price has already happened to me twice I would only eat there in an emergency Much better has become Snow Bar Night & Day there is great quality and fresh 😊

Good food... family friendly but rather expensive.

Unfortunately, the range and quality of the food in 2024 has decreased significantly compared to previous years. The staff is unfriendly and there is a police officer (probably the boss) standing in the middle of the room checking that no one is doing anything wrong! A pity! Luckily there is still the Hannighüsli, the Staffelbar and the Night and Day Bar 😅

Too expensive, inedible. Salad consists mainly of canned goods, even the carrot salad. Spaghetti with tomato sauce is spicy, sour, with large pieces of onion (small portion 15 Fr.) = canned food with incomprehensible origin. Oml Bolognese sauce is reminiscent of everything except meat, fries are matching, the schnitzel is drier than dry with cardboard-like meat. At best, coffee is just rinse water from the coffee machine. Staff is overwhelmed and correspondingly unfriendly. On the third day of the holiday we stopped experimenting and simply brought our lunch with us from the village of Coop.

Wonderfully done, especially the indoor playground

The food is far too bad for the price. There was a drinking tap where you could get cola. No cola came out of the cola tap, only water. When I reported this they got angry at me and said I should just buy a 33cl bottle for 6fr.

Dear Hannigalp team, You start the season with a fresh team, an innovative concept and a new menu. Change often brings challenges, but it's admirable to see how you perform in high season and how well the team works together. The food is delicious and the range of drinks leaves nothing to be desired. The house coffee with the house blend is a real treat, especially on the terrace with a view of the majestic Matterhorn. I wish you continued success for the rest of the season and look forward to my next visit. This certainly won't be my last.

We spend several weeks here on ski holidays every year. In contrast to recent years, we are shocked by the massive increase in prices, much smaller portions and poorer quality. The potatoes from the Älplermageroni were not cooked through, the food was cold and tasteless, as if the cook had changed. The popular cheese buttons are also missing. A small portion of fries costs 9 francs, which borders on usury. In addition, there is nothing to eat after 3 p.m. By promoting a family ski area, the prices should also correspond a little. The daily ticket now amounts to 69 francs, although nothing is renewed and not all cable cars and slopes are always in operation. We have recommended this ski area to everyone, but now we have reached the point where you can get more for your money in other regions. It's a shame for these small ski areas. Small, familiar and nice somehow doesn't add up anymore.

Dried bratwurst with bread for 23.- Bratwurst was neither fresh nor edible. Other menus are also significantly more expensive compared to last year. The quality is worse and the quantity on the plate is significantly less. You get the feeling of being ripped off. No more option for us to eat.

Feldschlösschen is tiptop GSI but it's about 2 out of 10

For a goulash soup not even a 10 year old has enough from this portion and that for 14.- the best is a burger 18.- and nothing about this burger is homemade, it's way too expensive..! and is self-service! Dear community, you have to talk about the books!

We've been on sports holidays in Grächen for years, there aren't many other options on the mountain than this restaurant. Quality is always good to very good, but the prices (like ski tickets) are no longer family-friendly. It was cheaper in Arosa over Christmas. Hot chocolate 7.50 (with 3 children = 22.50). Cappuccino in self-service 5.20, wheat beer in self-service 7.50. The service is still family-friendly but these prices will soon scare families away. Ski holidays in the larger areas are cheaper. It's a shame how things are developing here.

Good dishes and friendly service.

We have enjoyed eating in the family restaurant in the winter for many years. Especially after the renovation it is friendly and nice. The prices were rather high but still ok. Like every year, all prices are a little higher but we are particularly shocked by the soup prices. Soup of the day Fr. 11.- although you can call it soup. For a barley or goulash soup you have to pay 12.50 and 13.50. It's a shame, the price/performance ratio is slowly no longer right for me.

Typical mountain restaurant. Spacious for winter sports, large for the summer season. Various walks start in the summer.

actually a great location. everything new, clean and well maintained. It's a shame that the kitchen crew failed so much. three different menus prepared underground. bland, loveless, greasy. weighed heavily on us for hours. :-( Sorry, my daughter, who is 13 years old and has a “tip pot” textbook, does it worlds better. Unfortunately, the prices are still at gourmet level. to make others feel ashamed.

Great location with stunning views of the Swiss mountains. But it has a bit of a canteen atmosphere. Good start for hikes.

Prices for self-service are rather too high. For milk coffee and all other warm drinks, cups are only 2/3 full, which is unacceptable, especially with the macchiato for CHF 6.50. Was reported at the checkout, but was still the same at the end of the week...

Nicely furnished and has lots of space. Unfortunately, the catering industry cannot cope with the rush, which results in long queue times. The food is very carelessly prepared and not exactly cheap (family-friendly), but that doesn't matter since there is no alternative anyway. It's a shame it was different and the staff is also very helpful and friendly. Fair competition would do wonders here. Sorry...

Practical, well organized and of high quality

A nice restaurant in and of itself. Children's play area in particular was great. Food, drink good, although at a rather higher price. But why only 3 stars? Because it's incredibly outrageous that without 2G you can't even get a warm meal via take-away! Even the toilet is taboo for spurned “certificateless” people! Such exclusion is truly shameful!

The last time I was here was 2 years ago with different kitchen staff and I was very satisfied, unfortunately not at all this time, the fries weren't cooked through and tasted bitter, the salt sauce was totally watered down, a real shame.

In the self-service restaurant you are not allowed to choose something and consume it on the terrace, even with a mask on. The certificate is needed. After all, you are in the room for longer than 5 minutes. An impudence. The food is far too expensive for that. A piece of plum cake for 8.–! You'll never see me there again.

We were here in the late afternoon, the restaurant was only occupied to a minimum and the kitchen was already half closed. We were able to order a portion of fries and a salad, both of which were fine except for the carrot salad, whose sauce had already fermented slightly. Unfortunately the cappuccino from the machine wasn't good. The service was very friendly and you can sit on the terrace very nicely with a great view.

Very nice restaurant. However, prices are quite high for take-away. Unfortunately there are no drinks by the glass, but you have to fill the drinks into glasses at the checkout. For whatever reason. There is also no take-away stand outside. What I also think is a shame that there is no regional Valais beer.

Das Essen stand wohl seit mehreren Stunden an der Wärme, und dies um 12:00h fade und geschmacklos und abgestanden. Personal und Ambiente voll nett und zuvorkommend. Kaffee und Kuchen lecker. Tolle Einrichtung. Früher was das Essen auch schon besser, momentan würde ich da nichts essen. Salat nicht mehr knackig. Tolle Spielecke. Ein Besuch ohne Essen ist es wirklich wert. Hoffen wir nal es wird wieder besser,

Als wir da waren, gab es gerade Knatsch beim Personal. Immerhin, durstig und hungrig musste niemand zur Wanderung aufbrechen. Schöne Terasse mit Blick aufs Matterhorn.

Basically a good mountain restaurant with friendly staff, BUT with some drawbacks - why do you make WiFi free and then block it Whatsapp? where everyone exchanges ideas Group chat (Grächen app) Wire Signal & Skype work! - It's bad weather and everyone wants to go somewhere warm Room and then the “Matterhorn Hall” is closed you feel like you're crammed together Flock of sheep.

Salad bar is inexpensive and delicious. Different kinds of pasta and choux. Cheesecake for dessert, not too sweet. Nice staff!!

Das Restaurant ist super und man isst sehr gut. Es ist recht teuer aber wohl normal für Schweizer Verhältnisse. Es hat einen tollen Spielplatz.

Ein sonniger Sonntag mit vielen Gästen überfordert offensichtlich die Kapazitäten des Bergrestaurants Hannigalp. Man sollte meinen, dass die Geschäftsleitung keine Wetterprognosen kennt und sich deshalb nicht auf viele Gäste vorbereiten konnte. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und bemüht, trotzdem waren die Wartezeiten unzumutbar lang. Als langjährige Gäste des Bergrestaurants haben wir so etwas noch nie erlebt. Wir können dieses Restaurant nicht mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen, Schade!!!!

We passed here from the summit descent. This restaurant was now the only place that was open. dSPersonal was very busy and hardworking. Nevertheless, we had to wait a long time before we were noticed, even though there wasn't much going on. The blueberry cake that was finally served to us was really not worth its price of 8 Fr. Rarely have I eaten such a bad cake. A pity.

Nous n'y avons pas vraiment mangé: juste un dessert et bu un verre après une randonnée.Très grand, ce restaurant accueille sans doute beaucoup de monde en hiver; en tout cas lors de notre passage , c'était très bien tenu; 4 musiciens y jouaient des airs locaux!

The selection is very large and is freshly prepared. The staff friendly and helpful. Very suitable for families with a play area. Highly recommended also for small snacks. The August 1st brunch buffet with matching music was simply amazing! This selection and the presentation=brilliant!! The Sunday brunch is also highly recommended👌

Everything is very expensive, which is why there probably won't be 5 people on the beautiful terrace when the weather is brilliant
