Wow! I love this place!The food is soon good and so are the drinks etc! The atmosphere is great!🤩🤩+It's child friendly and even got a window where you can look how the food is made!!!!!

We had a slice of dessert with mini berliners on it and creme inside, burned sugar on top, i don't remember the name of it. It was sooo beautiful. We also had a hot chocolate but it was below my expectations. I expected a swiss chocholate but instead it was more like a hot cocoa. Prices were fine. Cafe was sweet. Staff was polite and nice.

Unfortunately, it is often too cold there and therefore uncomfortable. The sweet and salty delicacies are always a pleasure. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately often stressed.

If you want coffee, chocolates and pastries you are in the right place. Seeing is believing.

The waitresses are not always very friendly. Other than that, the place has a very pleasant atmosphere.

I bought a small Parisian ring for 23 Fr. which I served to my guests an hour later, all without exception found it extremely dry, I felt ashamed😒😬. And although there were few guests in the store and the service staff behind the counter, I had to make myself a little loud so that I could actually buy something😠It's certain that none of my guests would ever buy anything there.

Incredible place, in a sweets factory a bakery with unique and well-made products, I recommend a stop in this bakery to taste unique and delicious products

First time ordering a birthday cake from Beschle and very happy with the overall experience! Free delivery at home in Zone 1, a beautiful and delicious cake (highly recommend their Concorde Torte), and it is wonderful to know that we are supporting a family-owned and family-run business here in Basel. We will be back to try more patisserie creations from Beschle!

Were there for the second time before visiting the trade fair, good coffee and good pastries, the view of the bakery while having coffee was exciting. Friendly employees, prices rather high but quality good.

The ideal place to have breakfast and buy delicious chocolates. The place is spacious and very pleasant.

A very nice confectionery with some seats. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the employees are very nice. They have a large selection of small delicacies.

Waited for the service 28 mins at the table. Even approached the bar to ask if I should have ordered there but they told me to wait some more. I have seen the service to take the order from other people who came after me. I left after about 30mins and won’t come back.

A bit noisy environment in the interior, otherwise ok for me as a single person if there is enough space. Fast service.

A trip to Basel would not be complete without a citrone tarte from Beschle. I shouldn't share this information as it's too popular already; they were sold out the day before but fortunately today we managed to order the last two today. The pastry is deliciously thin, crisp layers with a creamy tart citrus filling and fluffy meringue slightly crispy on the top. It's the best lemon tart I've had. Coffee, sandwiches are also tasty and they have a huge selection of other pastries. Although nothing will tempt me away from the lemon meringue option.

Friendly staff and good selection to choose from. Majority of the products and pricing are not well labelled which makes it hard to tell what each item contains or is made of which is a bit disappointing when you have certain dietary requirements. The cakes and tarts were labelled to indicate what they were but other pastries were not. Ended up leaving with just coffee as felt embarrassed to ask the staff what things were after asking about 3-4 items prior.

The products are good and the coffee is high quality. However, two points are deducted for the slow and inattentive service. You sit for several minutes until the service staff notices you. Even if you want to place a repeat order, it takes just as long. There are several women behind the counter.

Looks very upscale, but not in all areas. When I asked for water with my coffee (which should be included anyway), my request was answered with annoyance.

What an amazing spacious bakery with amazing treats! It's in a busy street but it's lovely and quiet inside, nice design. They have a library with books. All the staff is friendly and accommodating. The coffee and the croissants where great!

We visited Fantasy Basel and were looking for a good breakfast. We found what we were looking for in this bakery. The croissants are fantastic and really buttery. The hot chocolate with the included praline are also really tasty. The staff was friendly and through the window you could watch the pastry shop hard at work. I can only recommend this bakery 😊👍

Coffee is not tasty, I order oppera cake, chocolate was to hard. Never will visit again

the beschle branch in clarastrasse is one of my favorite place to have a coffee and enjoy some pastry. one of of my personal reasons is the nice interior design: a chosen wallpaper, colors in blue tone and copper, the glance you can take on the bakehouse and the comfortable chairs in some corners, offering also some books to brows through. but of course also the pastry is worth a visit and the staff is welcoming and nice.

The decor is harmonious and the selection is inviting, but the staff is completely incompetent. Unfortunately every visit is equally bad. Inattentive, slow, unfriendly and even rude. There will be no more visits.

Been here before also. One of the best in Basel. Great location, in the heart of Kleinbasel. Friendly and welcoming staffs. Super fast delivery. Yummy croissants, chocolate cakes, pastries and the hot beverages. Fully recommended.

Cozy atmosphere, especially further back with the books :)

The pastries were delicious but the service was awful. We sat against the wall and waited and waited for someone to take our order. Then instead of 1 Ice Tea, they brought 3 and also charged us for 3. They charged us the wrong price for hot chocolate too. That is after we again waited and waited for someone to come and bring us the bill. And then, while we were getting our coats on, they turned off the lights! Definitely won't be making a second visit. Other places have equally good sweets.

3 service employees stand in line at the checkout to type. Disorganized bunch. Waited 45 and then we wanted to order at the buffet. It wasn't possible but she would send someone. After another 10 minutes we left. I won't set foot in this coffee shop again after this disaster. By the way, it wasn't the first time.

Very nice people and good backers items. You can watch bakers at work through a large window inside. Good cappuccino, croissant and super good crusty bread sandwich.

Overpriced, unfriendly staff, food and drinks nothing special. “Freshly squeezed orange juice” tastes like the one from the discount store…

Beautiful patisserie to enjoy your drink and of course your dessert. My first visit to the store was accompanied by a sweet taste of pear tart and delicious cream. The coffee I ordered was a double American espresso and I found it particularly tasty. More generally, apart from sweets, you can choose a croissant, sandwich or even a whole cake for a visit or.. for you!! In the mezzanine you can see the live preparation of the sweets, a unique experience. Finally, on the first floor are the toilets for the disabled, people who can visit the area with a lift. Well done to the team.

There was very good coffee. And the “Filou” that came with it was very freshly prepared and also looked very appealing. I can highly recommend a visit here if you want to drink a fine coffee in peace and eat small, sweet treats with it. I also really like the sandwiches and have gotten one a few times.

The pastry products were very good, the curry/ham sandwich was a disaster in my opinion: sauce was green and only tasted like aromatic, plus cheap ham without salad etc. for 5.80!? But since the shop calls itself a “confectionery” and not a bakery, and these products were very fine, 4 out of 5 stars.

Thank you for the experience. Very nice patisserie in Kleinbasel. Chocolate cake very nice chocolate, but on the very sweet end, less sugar would make it nicer. St honore is tasty, fluffy and creamy. Bienenstich is also tasty, fruity and not too sweet. Flat white tastes like ordinary cappuccino and could be better. I would suggest to hire a proper coffee barista to improve the overall coffee experience. A glass of tap water with an espresso could also be surfed. The staff is friendlier than in other coffee houses in Basel. Chair on the uncomfortable side, sofa at the wall very comfortable. Overall defined worth a visit for the sweets, not so much for coffee. What’s a pity in today’s time, at the end of the day the leftover are thrown away instead of sold for a discount or given to charity. An improvement of their policy regarding leftover is necessary.

My name is Anastasia and I was drinking coffee in the Beschle on Clarastrasse on December 26th, 2022. That was a mistake . Worst and friendliest service in Beschle on Clarastrasse. We waited for 10 minutes, then the service lady came and said very cheekily "...that's just the way it is, you have to wait..." I wonder which condition qualities the superior prefers...

This cafe is lovely in and outside. The interior is enormous! One can sit at a table and feel a bit of privacy

First impression: nicely decorated. Inviting buffet. Food and drink: Warm chocolate, homemade, GREAT! Coffee variants also good. Croissants, rolls, small jam. Cool idea, they were perfect! Sandwich sensational. Service: yes, here comes the big problem, the Alsatian woman tried very hard, wanted to make up for the mistakes or something, but there are people behind the counter, all doing the same thing but no one serving the guests. One always looks grim, the other doesn't forward guests' requests... yes, that can ruin a lot of good reviews. Great, friendly, organized staff makes a lot of difference for me, so you can forgive not perfect food sometimes. This experience is based on 2 visits, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The boss should take this criticism seriously, I have never seen so many customers run away without ordering...

Breakfast in Basel…We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. Everything lovingly down to every detail. Very friendly staff. Tip…..rustic bread! Logo and packaging very consistent.

We were only there briefly for a coffee stop with croissants. It was fine. The croissant was a little too fatty for me (😂) but otherwise good. We had a friendly young gentleman who served us very well.

We received a very friendly and charming welcome. We were served delicious chocolate, good coffee and a fine apple tart. But the best thing at Beschle is the Saint-Honoré cake, great, great, delicious. You can't miss this when it's cut!

We were at Fantasy Basel and looked for a confectionery because we didn't like the hotel breakfast. We came across this beautifully decorated confectionery. We were and still are thrilled. Cozy terrace atmosphere to feel good. The cappuccino was A1, lots of foam and chocolate powder, plus the fresh, almost warm croissants. This is how you like to start the day. Will definitely come again :)

We were greeted very friendly and were given the last available seat. Actually it was just supposed to be a quick coffee! But when we walked past the display it was clear that we had to try the patisserie 😉 Super delicious 🤤 To finish off with two homemade pralines and in no time an hour was over. Simply great 👍🏻 Definitely coming back.

Top chocolate, passionate people

Have been coming regularly to Beschle at Claraplatz for a long time. Staff changes often, but are always friendly and accommodating! Quality of the patisserie is 1A. What's a shame: in the past there have always been new creations (pumpkin-orange tartlet, chocolate tartlet with berries) that we really enjoyed. But they seem to have disappeared from the range again. Still 5 stars for the classics (St. Honoré, Concorde, Tartelette au Citron,...)

Saturday, January 29, 2022 Visited for a hot chocolate, a quiche Lorraine and a piece of apricot tart. The products were good, the atmosphere wasn't right for me and the service could have been a little calmer (less stressed). This also calms the guest down and perhaps makes you feel a little more comfortable.

A top address for the finest baked goods in Basel. Always my pleasure. Unfortunately there is no suitable bag to transport the large cakes. When it comes to cafe to go, you should check beforehand that the lid is intact, otherwise it will end up on your clothes.

Excellent coffee and also the breads. It's quite expensive.
