Great hotel, friendly and extremely helpful staff at all times, good food! Our vacation at Bettmerhof was wonderful! We booked again straight away and are looking forward to the next time!

Went half-board for one week. Warm, friendly, comfortable hotel, ski-in ski-out, 50m from chair lift. Food was beautiful, well-presented and varied. Glorious little spa in the afternoon/evening. Associated high quality pizzeria restaurant and balcony with fine views over the mountains and valley. What's not to like?!

A first-class, recommendable hotel that fully corresponds to its ***s category. This is the third time we have been to this beautiful winter sports arena as a couple and we are always thrilled. The hotel is in a prime location in Bettmeralp, right next to 3 mountain railways, with a magnificent view of the Matterhorn. The new managing directors Seraina Hegi and Ronny Klingele run this beautiful chalet hotel just as lovingly and professionally as their predecessors. The rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished. The breakfast and evening menu leave nothing to be desired open, which is not surprising since the manager is a chef himself. The staff is also very friendly, conscientious, attentive and helpful. Any requests for changes regarding. of the menu are implemented easily. Cleanliness and functionality are impeccable throughout the house. The organization of luggage transport runs smoothly. For winter sports enthusiasts, I would particularly like to emphasize the following: From the hotel to the ski lift and from the slopes back to the hotel Easy and possible without unfastening the skis. We'd love to come back!

Probably the friendliest and best-humored hotel in Switzerland. The staff is extremely attentive and quick - despite the enormous amount of work. The host couple is also very nice and fulfills every wish. A special compliment to the kitchen, which cooks very well both half board and A La Carte and serves very nice plates. The rooms are very nice and renovated. What more do you want? Price/performance excellent. Great.

The food was excellent, the service was very friendly! Even though we didn't have a reservation, the staff organized a table for 5 people indoors! Great!

We were at the Bettmerhof for the first time. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Are perfectly prepared every day after skiing. There's nothing wrong with the food, very varied, always a choice of meat or vegetarian options. You also have the option to order a pizza. The staff was always courteous, polite and helpful. In order to set an example for the environment, the sauna is only heated when necessary. We can highly recommend the Bettmerhof. Even if I want to, I can't find anything to complain about. Thank you to all the hotel staff who were responsible for making us feel so comfortable

A very nice terrace and very nice service

We have been coming to Bettmeralp for years and a visit to the PiccoBello Pizzeria is a must. The pizzas are always very tasty and the service is very friendly.

We have been coming to Bettmeralp and always to the Bettmerhof for over 20 years, mainly in winter. We love the beautiful, family-run hotel. It is well and comfortably furnished and the location is simply fantastic. Strap on your skis and off you go. After the change in management, we were very excited about what awaited us this year. But we weren't disappointed. Seraina and Ronny continue to run the hotel in the usual style and with love. The all-round package is right, from the food to the staff and service, everything. We'd love to come back. This year in January we also had fantastic weather and great snow conditions (certainly also organized by the hotel 😜)

The communication with the waitress was not optimal and gave the impression of displeasure. It would be desirable for the staff to maintain a professional service even on less good days in order not to negatively influence the guests. I also didn't think the price-performance ratio of the food was appropriate, as the cost was too high compared to the quality offered. Not recommended.

This was our second time at the Bettmerhof for a week and we were able to enjoy the hospitable atmosphere. The originally owner-managed hotel impressed us with numerous advantages: The personal service gives you the feeling of being warmly welcomed right from the start. The entire team is characterized by a friendly and courteous manner, which made our stay particularly pleasant. The half board with its delicious and varied breakfast buffet exceeded our culinary expectations. What is particularly commendable is the choice at dinner, which is also suitable for vegetarians. The quality of the food was consistently very good, there was no reason to complain. Both the hotel facilities and the rooms are functional and always spotlessly clean. The hotel has been managed by a couple of managing directors since mid-2023, and we are pleased to note that the quality and charm of the hotel are in no way inferior. The new managing directors are doing an excellent job and we would like to commend them. Bravo, keep it up! Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay at the Hotel Bettmerhof and can recommend it without reservation. Many thanks to the entire team for the pleasant time – we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Very good stay in the idyllic village of Bettmeralp

The hotel is more than recommended. We have never felt so comfortable anywhere before. The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. Please keep it up: we would be happy to come back

Such a beautiful place. We really enjoyed our stay at the Bettmerhof. The whole team is so attentive and friendly, you can tell that as soon as you arrive. The room was very tastefully decorated, with great attention to detail. The bathroom with a bathtub was another highlight as was the balcony with the beautiful view. Another delight was the wonderful breakfast. The restaurant is so beautifully decorated that you'll be happy to linger here for a while. The breakfast offering was so varied and left nothing to be desired. The egg dishes were freshly prepared, the coffee tasted wonderful, fresh fruit, airy and crusty bread in many variations and so much more. Unique location - Bettmeralp can only be reached by cable car and therefore the whole place is very quiet. Very nicely renovated and furnished rooms, delicious food and Christian and his team cater for almost every wish. No matter whether it's support in preparing for a hike, a delicious packed lunch or the pick-up and delivery service to the mountain railway. Everyone in the team does a great job - and everyone is extremely friendly - you feel welcome and valued as a guest!! In summary I can simply say: Thank you for the nice days and we will definitely come back 😎 P.S. Replacing the mattress in our room with a firmer model would be great 😉

We spent a few days with friends at the Bettmerhof and were and are thrilled. The lived hospitality, from the host to the porter, the service in the catering, the culinary offerings and, last but not least, the accommodation, with a topper if desired, form a package of the highest quality. We take the opportunity to thank you very much for the great stay and your service in mid-August. In particular, the uncomplicated way in which the whole team addressed my wife's histamine intolerance and allergies was excellent. We're not used to everything working so well, especially since it always means additional work for all people and "interfaces" in the company. Once again, a big thank you for this. You can completely feel the warmth in the company, never intrusive, always there, but also always with an incredible eye for details. Christian Eyholzer himself is truly omnipresent and a role model. No wonder the whole team is so involved. We would be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend you. Sometimes it doesn't take much to feel good. The food at the Bettmerhof was very tasty and also beautifully decorated. I have rarely had such nice, attentive, friendly and competent service in a restaurant. Keep it up👍 Even now, 2 years later, the visit to the Bettmerhof Restaurant was once again a highlight of our vacation. We also really enjoyed the hotel stays this summer; it was a very relaxing, culinary and lovely stay.

The Bettmerhof is an excellent hotel with excellent cuisine. The host and the staff are very attentive and you can immediately feel that the hospitality is really lived. We can recommend this hotel at any time without restrictions.

Top hotel, service and very friendly

Christian and his family are so lovely and attentive. Its very wholesome to see a family owned business thrive in 2023 after the pandemic. They also have a few vegan options, the thai curry was excellent. Clean and orderly.

After much deliberation, we chose the Bettmerhof hotel for our walking holiday in the Aletsch Arena, and we have not regretted it for a second. An extremely friendly welcome by Sofie and her father who spares no effort to make his guests happy. We stayed in the beautiful Junior Suite on the fourth floor with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn and the Weisshorn. The room was Pico Bello in order, and felt very cozy due to the use of a lot of wood for the furnishings. Very well equipped bathroom with bath and separate shower. After our walks we enjoyed the setting sun from the spacious balcony. Another plus point for us was that we could darken the room perfectly with the shutters and curtains on the windows. We were also spoiled in the culinary field: a very extensive breakfast in a buffet formula, with a wide choice of freshly cut fruit, various yoghurts and mueslis, freshly baked bread and croissants, and also egg dishes and crêpes to order. Dinner was also great, with a wide choice on the menu and very nicely presented plates. All this served by very professional and friendly staff. In short, a great experience in combination with a beautiful walking area!

We had a great stay at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The owner is always walking around and makes you feel at home. We had our 6 month old daughter with us. They were very child friendly. The rooms are spacious and neatly maintained. The food is truly excellent. The pizzas are highly recommended. We will definitely come back! Wow💪! I have rarely experienced that. This warmth/friendliness, the courteous nature of the boss and all employees; the absolute hammer! You can feel the leadership down to the smallest detail. A big compliment 🤜🤛, that's exactly how I imagine "leadership". Real, authentic, honest. By the way: the food is also great😇.

Great pizza, really enjoyed the salad buffet, and service was excellent. Pizza is a little over priced but hey you’re in an alpine ski village up a gondola. We split a pizza and got the salad bar and were totally satisfied.

The employees are very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good. There is a very nice restaurant in the hotel. You can also eat there if you are not a hotel guest. The pizzeria is one floor below. The pizzeria is closed on Sunday evenings. Either way, I recommend making a reservation. We were there in the off-season and couldn't get a table for the two of us on the same evening.

The service at the restaurant is really good: fast, friendly, attentive. Real professional as you do not so easily find nowadays. The food was excellent too and well served. Had the vegi Rösti, which is perfekt if you need some calories, nicely topped with what looks like some homemade pesto. From now on my 1st choice for lunch break when snowboarding there. They take reservations on busy days too... Was only at the restaurant, not spending the night.

Very nice hotel with awesome staff. I spent two days with my daughter and we went skiing. We enjoyed the more informal diners in the pizzeria. We enjoyed skiing right from the hotel and the views from our room on the Matterhorn.

Yes, they still exist, these hotels where everything is just right: tastefully furnished rooms in Alpine chic with a unique view of the mountains, fine food, a large selection at the breakfast buffet including perfectly cooked eggs. Dear Bettmerhof team, although we didn't stay at your hotel this week, we were able to enjoy an excellent dinner with you three times. Starting with the friendliness of the staff, through the quality of the food and the furnishings of the outside and inside areas, you can only give the top rating. A top address in a top location. There is an Italian-style pizzeria that also serves delicious pizzas to eat in or take away. You can wait for your pizza or a seat at the bar.

We have been coming to this hotel for two years in a row and we will be back again with great pleasure! The boss is adorable, takes great care of the customers! The staff are great too and try to speak in French if they can! The half board food is excellent and plentiful! The breakfast is great with its buffet of local products and its menu of fresh eggs + pancakes! And the view is breathtaking! And for the little ones there is a room full of games, which is great in case of bad weather! And finally the hotel is very well located in the village! We recommend this hotel 100%! It was our first time visiting Bettmeralp and we hit the jackpot by choosing Bettmerhof. In addition to the modern room with a great view and the high-quality kitchen, we were particularly impressed by the hospitality. Mr. Eyholzer is a host through and through and this rubs off on the entire team. I've never experienced it like that in Switzerland. We would have liked to extend our stay if this had been possible. Place calls itself Hotel-Wellness-Kulinarium… I can’t judge the Hotel Wellness part as I walked in to have dinner. And that’s what you‘ll be treated as: a walk-in. The owners seem to be very nice but centered around their hotel guests. Our waiter was slow, even kind of rude, the order was not respected… food was good, except the pizza Diavola which was too greasy. Not feeling welcome is for me a clear no go, especially when paying 170CHF for 3…

From veggies to burgers, there is something for everyone. Compliments to the Eyholzer family for the heartily run hotel/restaurant/pizzeria. We felt the love for detail and embraced us. For this restaurant being so popular, we were really disappointed. First of all, the staff was generally unfriendly and didn't seem interested in your well-being. Then half of the menu was no longer really available because ingredients had run out. It can happen, but instead of apologizing and finding an alternative, the waitress just talked her way out of it and said it wasn't her fault, etc. Not recommended at all for vegetarians or even vegans. No other recommendation from us either. In the evening you only have 2 hours to eat before you are thrown out. You can find better things for less money.

Quite simply great. One week on Bettmeralp in the Hotel Bettmerhof (half board). Especially when the weather doesn't always cooperate, the hotel becomes even more important. The culinary impressions were very good and of convincing quality! The menu selection is varied. The service friendliness of the employees is certainly commendable. Room “Adlerhorst” very spacious and well furnished. Bathroom with lots of space. Rooms always clean! And the view…of course exceptionally beautiful. Mr. Christian Eyholzer, director and host, was present almost throughout. Very accommodating and competent host. This is how customer friendliness works. Bettmerhof would be happy to come back.

Ordered 3x meals for 4 people. First the hash browns came, 5 minutes later the pizza and the club sandwich came after asking twice then at least half an hour later. The cellar didn't really make any effort and just put us off. It's a shame, it's actually a nice terrace.

Once and never again. Staff (service) unfriendly and unfortunately not professional. Hardly anything is produced fresh here, only mass production. Unfortunately, hygiene is terrible. The employees are also aware of this. “Washing your hands is like disinfecting your hands” in a cheeky tone to the guest - unbelievable.

We hiked from Fiescheralp via Bettmeralp to Riederalp. We couldn't have made a better lunch stop: great terrace, motivated, friendly service and super delicious pizza! And we drank the best rosé of our Valais winter sports week here!
