Good food at a fair price and nice view, can't complain

Very long wait for food. Not enough people cooking for the amount of costumers.

I was there for lunch during peak skiing season. Food is ok and functional. The employees do a good job and are friendly. On good days it is always very well attended and quite full.

The food is like canteen food. I thought I would treat myself to the Älplermagronen (a typical Valais dish) and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The pasta was dry and lacked sauce and cheese. However, the location is positive and unbeatable! Almost at the top of the Aletsch you have a breathtaking view that seems endless when the weather is good. Conclusion: limit yourself to snacks like fries or pretzels and eat something in the valley if you want quality. However, photography and nature lovers will get their money's worth here!

Top organized, warm and super nice!

Depending on the time of day, the food on the Bettmerhorn is very good, but sometimes not fresh enough. It is likely that many people find fresh cooking a bit difficult (understandable). The service/staff is very, very friendly.

I give 5 stars for the fabulous location with a wonderful panoramic view of the Bedretti Alps, Monte Leone and above all the Valais Alps with its majestic 4000 meters. The food is ok, the beef burger was excellent, but relatively expensive.

Valais rösti and burgers were okay. Goulash soup weak and watery. Kitchen performance can be improved!!

It was great to eat with such a beautiful view and experience eating good food in Switzerland

The seriousness of global warming can be felt

No breakfast at 10am, no sandwiches, no bread, nothing. All they had were small cakes for 9.80 CHF each. Terrible experience!

Absolutely amazing view, and the food is also quite ok. We come here every year at least once, and the view alone makes it worth it. The food is alright, but used to be better. We spent 20 mins in the queue until we could order and pickup the food. Prices are expensive of course, but still reasonable considering the location at close to 3000m elevation. Fries: 10 ChF, Daily menu 15-20 Chf, Big Rivella 12 CHF. Food is alright. Fries were nice but since this year they are served in a weird container and they cool down fast :(. Soups also nice. Cholera a bit on the expensive side but very tasty. They also have clean and spacious bathrooms. There is no service, you have to pick up the food yourself.

Good food! Had a perfect Schnitzel. Generous portions! Tasty food. The view from the top of the mountain is AMAZING.

If the Ovi is taken in a glass instead of in the old Ovo Bakelite cup, the woman at the checkout actually wants to charge us an additional CHF 2.00 per glass. Since the glass was only about 2/3 full of milk, we added a sip of milk. After I asked the boss, it suddenly went without a surcharge…. Here a liter of milk probably costs CHF 20. Per liter. This behavior is just ridiculous. Luckily there are other restaurants with friendly service.

The food itself is pretty good, but the serving is not well organized. The price is reasonable.

A disaster, no organization. Only one cash register open with so many customers. Wait at least 15 minutes whether you take something cold or warm! Chf 13.- for a glass of cola and a portion of French fries! Maybe you should change the manager? A catastrophe, pas d’organization, suddenly une caisse d’ouverte . Temps d’attente min 15 min , que tu prennes qqch de froid ou de chaud . Chf 13.- a portion of French fries and a cola. Faudrait-il ptetre changer le manager?

Pulled beef (pork) burger is delicious~

The restaurant is actually quite ok. But the cable management is very (I emphasize very) very bad. I mean what's the point, I go to a restaurant and just want to watch my favorite show (ski racing) and I get distracted by this salad. And it also hangs at an angle. When I'm watching my show, I don't want to be distracted by a guy pooping. Lg

We have been coming for years and were very (!!!) enthusiastic about the food today. The pulled pork burger was a dream and the side salad (cholera) had raspberries, apricots, peaches, blueberries and nuts. I also think it's great that there are no longer any standard Mövenpick desserts! The homemade ice creams and sorbets were awesome!!! Kind regards to the kitchen team

Easily one of my favourite spots in the area. If you are there just for the coffee, then make sure to try the almond croissants. Want some confidence boosters? Try some of the twisted coffees. (Please avoid hitting the slopes after this 😅) If you are there for lunch, you might come across daily menus like pulled pork or spare ribs. All that for a very good price, especially when compared to the Swiss cities. And needless to say, you'll never have such a view in the city. And it is one of the best views in the Switzerland. If it's cold, just stay inside. The interior is very cozy and contemporary. With local photos and wall posters. It reflects the local spirit perfectly If it's sunny, apply some sun lotion and relax on the huge terrace deck. The restaurant is self-service, but someone will probably assist you after you're done. I will always keep coming back here.

Would love to eat delicious food again

We were a large group and had a very nice lunch. Salad is fresh, carrots, cucumbers and leaf lettuce with enough fine sauce on the side. There was something for everyone on the menu too. The desserts and coffee were also delicious. The service in the self-service restaurant is very friendly and accommodating. Thank you 🙂😃😀😉🙂

The menu is a shadow of what it was in previous years. Main courses are hash browns and French fries. There are no vegetables at all anymore. The salad buffet consists of pre-filled small bowls, plus a jar of ready-made sauce. The price-performance ratio is no longer right. There is no service, only self-service. Various pending repairs remain unfinished. The great hunger is therefore better satisfied elsewhere. There are now always free seats in the restaurant and on the terrace, which was not the case before. A pity!

Very tasty food with a beautiful view

The same fatty carbohydrate bombs have been offered for 20 years. Most 100% taste free. Not even an overdose of salt can enhance the non-existent flavors of the schnitzel. Business is done here without any ambition; people's health or even the absolute culinary minimum is not sought here.

Great restaurant (easily accessible by cable car) with a sensational view - my recommendation: Autumn ticket: it includes 3 different mountain railways in the Aletsch area and 1 lunch in various restaurants (including here)

On Thursday October 7th, 21 I tried again to climb the Bettmerhorn in the rest. The food was inedible Plus deer pepper written out in large letters, no price! Who wants a pig in a poke? It's a shame, it used to be nice and pleasant

Great food and beautiful viewpoint. During the Corona period, however, the weather has to be 100% right, otherwise it will be too cold outside.

Extremely slow service during the coronavirus time. The queue was 30 meters, it took 40 minutes until we were able to order food.

Amazing view on the Matterhorn and the surrounding 4000m peaks as well as on the aletsch glacier. The food is actually not too expensive for the fact that it is at the top of a mountain.... and it was actually quite good. Ski area around is amazing.

Top Aussicht, gutes Essen, wegen Corona kleinere Speisekarte. Corona Schutzkonzept klappt tadellos. Unser Lieblingsrestaurant, immer wieder gerne.....
