A nice surprise, this brasserie-style bar-restaurant. We are well received, the plates are generous, well laid out, and well prepared. You can feel the experience in the kitchens. A tad expensive but given the location and service, you quickly understand why. I would definitely go back there again!

Very recommendable place. The burgers are delicious with good meat. You could say homemade. The beers are good. I tried the steak tartare which was fresh and delicious. Thank you to the waiters who were very friendly and friendly. I will return soon.

We are customers of the black horse since the day they opened. We love the place and we go at least once per week. Yesterday one of the waiters made us feel very unwelcome . Our daughter (2 years old) always asks for the pasta. When we ordered, the waiter told us that we needed to be careful with her as she always was leaving the cheese all over the table and it was very hard to clean. When he brought the pasta, he didn’t bring the cheese and when we asked for it, he brought it and literally stayed right next to the table to take it back. First of all, my daughter, in her only 2 years is a very educated child always supervised by me, the potential “mess” she leaves behind is normal of a kid her age. If this is not understood, there shouldn’t be a kids menu available specially if the “cheese” is so “hard” to clean. I’m really puzzled because I honestly never want to come back again.

First time going there, pleasantly surprised. A modern setting, well presented and very good dishes. For a starter and a pasta dish as well as a bottle of water, I got away with 38 CHF. A little expensive but the quality is at least there.

A pleasant evening spent at the Black Horse! The tapas mix was delicious, as was the recommended Amaretto Sour. However, reservations are recommended in the evening, as the restaurant attracts a lot of people. Note a slightly noisy atmosphere.

Reservation in advance to avoid finding yourself in the cold corridor at the entrance (but ultimately table right next to the door), because the manager does not want to close the 2 doors and this brings an unpleasant current for customers. As a reminder, we are in winter!!!

A very nice place, they accommodated us even without a reservation. Close to Morges train station, very convenient!

Really, one of the best places in Morges. Really awesome staff, the food is quite ok, environment is good and the functioning time is super convenient (kitchen open up to 11h30 pm). I've been multiple times and never disappointed.

The change to the burger menu is disastrous, all the old burgers were better, especially the “GOAT Cheese” I used to come very often but until the old burgers return I won't come back. Especially since there was something for everyone but they still wanted to “innovate”. Sorry to remind you that good restaurants do not have hundreds of products on their menu and keep their classics which already work very well, by always wanting to change everything we end up losing our loyal customers.

Great pub in Morges with very good burgers

Very good atmosphere, room always full. Food always good and not too long of a wait even during rush periods. The biggest strong point is the very professional and above all very welcoming and friendly staff.

Wide variety of beers and possibility of choosing the quantity that suits you. Very good service and pleasant atmosphere. I didn't have a chance to try the food.

The cocktails were fabulous, maybe even the best cocktails I've had in the world and in my life. Honestly, the atmosphere was so cool. Special mention to Yann our bartender for his professionalism, his good humor, and his warm welcome which made all the difference.

Frankly fair price correct service but please respect the cold chain a little with your burgers. I went there yesterday afternoon and was super sick all night. Even though I haven't eaten anything else all day. Serious food poisoning. Be careful people can end up in the hospital with this!

Very good restaurant, perfect cooking of meats.

Very warm welcome. The caramelized pork fricassees were lukewarm and very dry. The fries absolutely inedible, cold, soft, stuck together and taste bad. The salmon poke bowl was good. On the other hand, it was a salad mixed with ssumon and shrimp.

Nice setting and nice choice of draft beers. On the other hand, the cooking doesn't keep up (or not all the time), too bad. We had to wait around 45 minutes to be served nachos (very good portion) and chicken wings (unfortunately quite bland) while we saw another table a little further away arrive later and be served burgers before.. .

Delay of more than 40 mins, we were waiting for two snacks!!! more attention on the terrace than inside!!! No respect for internal customers!!! Music too low!!!

Our waiter was awesome! We really felt welcome. The food was great, too. Not too far from the train station, which worked really well for us. We stopped here on our route back to our hotel via the train and were glad we did.

The Black Horse is a very nice pub where we like to come regularly as a family. But the only drawback is the fries which claim to be homemade but are simply a failure! Small, soft and very fatty, we are far from good crispy and delicious fries. It’s a shame for a pub that mainly serves fries! And when we make a comment to the waiter to try to improve this single downside, we are told “sorry but we are dependent on the quality of the potatoes from our supplier”. So firstly taste your fries because we can clearly see that the size and cooking are poor, and if your supplier is not capable of providing you with consistent quality of potatoes then change supplier. When you're a catering professional, it's not complicated to find good fries. When you come to a pub that serves excellent burgers like yours with fries presented in a pretty cone like in a chip shop, you want to dig in and then from the first fry it's a failure. Please make crispy, holding fries and you will see your customers coming back for more!

Very expensive beers 9.40.- for 40cl extra... certainly the most expensive in the region for this quantity and when I asked one of the waiters what justifies that? He answered me that’s how we work, a bit of a light answer. What's more, I don't find this staff very pleasant with the male population, go figure. To avoid as a place!!!!

Friendly place where you are always served with a smile. From the fingers to the dishes it's good and well presented. The coffee is good.

Very good homemade burgers with good beers, very good service. Missing may be a little homemade mayo sauce or ketchup to accompany the fries. But frankly it's fresh, the menu changes regularly, in short a great bar.

Long due review as the Black Horse has been our go-to weekly brasserie for a year. They have one of the best services in the region, the staff is exceptional. Kind, child-friendly, attentive, flexible. Food-wise, no disappointment possible, everything is delicious! The club sandwich and goat cheese salad are my personal favorites.

I have eaten there several times, never disappointed. The burgers and tartare are delicious. The cocktails are also very good to end the evening in style! The service is very good, the waiters often come to see if you want anything else and if everything is going well. The servers are also friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend !

I visited the Black Horse three times in two days. Once for lunch, once just for a drink and finally to have dinner with my sweet and very hungry partner. The burger (Emmentaler) which I had for lunch was tasty and met my expectations. The drink, a glass of white wine (Epesses) was very good but the dinner... after having been ignored for 20 minutes by each one of the three waiters who were serving the not so big terrace, we moved on, disappointed. Not sure if and when I'll go back. Black Horse is not (yet) up to par with the White Horse in Ouchy (which I really like by the way). Update: several months and visits later, I believe service has improved. The only thing that holds me back from becoming a regular is the prices of cocktails and liquors. There's are more competitive places nearby.

A beautiful replica of the Ouchy white horse. I often go to Lausanne and I loved finding the same atmosphere in Morges at the black horse. Nice decor, beautiful menu, welcoming staff.

I go there regularly and find that the food is very good and very well served!!! Maybe some drinks prices are a bit high but there is happy hour so it's okay. Otherwise the staff is super welcoming and the hygiene is top notch! It would be great if they had evenings with a DJ or karaoke!

A nice atmosphere but I find the Price of very very expensive beers almost chf 10.- 40cl too expensive!! luckily at 6:00 p.m. there is happy hour!! THE Pitcher of beer chf 36 or 38.- not too expensive really on the other hand the Super friendly employees!!! Bravo to them for their smiles and kindness

Super nice place that has just opened. Friendly and attentive team. Excellent and well presented hamburger. Nice menu of beers, drinks and food. The only downside is that at 12:45 p.m. there are no more plates of the day left, that will be the fried perch fillets for another time for chf 20.- 😀

The value for money is not great. Overcooked burger, 40cl mug of beer, poke bowl without rice, poorly defrosted tapas mix, billing error. Otherwise the staff is really friendly. The place is clean and pleasant.

Nice place, clean, bright, friendly and available staff, but consumption (beer) relatively expensive compared to the competition. We sense the trick to avoid charging more than 11CHF for draft beer for 1/2 liter by only serving 4dl for 9.50CHF. Hop, we avoid the psychological threshold! Well done - I don't really like it. In Flon (trendy district of Lausanne), at the same price, you definitely have your half liter.
