Blockhus in Thunersee

Visiting Blockhus in Interlaken for lunch was a pleasant experience. The service was friendly, and although the menu was rather small, it offered regional Swiss dishes. Unfortunately, some dishes were already sold out, but that suggests that everything is freshly prepared - which was also noticeable in the taste. A good address for authentic, fresh Swiss cuisine!

We had the most amazing experience at this restaurant! The employees were so helpful and explained the menu and helped us get the best food for what we wanted. Patrick was our waiter and he was amazing. My friend left his ring at our table and Patrick got on his bike and found us at the bus station to give it back! We will definitely all be going back. The Jumi Raclette was SO GOOD!! Do yourself a favor and go. Tell Patrick hi for us!

Ambience is of course great You can sit outside and enjoy the sun for a long time But the food is not recommended Everything takes forever and it's really not a feast for the palate You get the feeling there is no trained chef in the house There are technical errors (e.g. unsheathed onions in the cream sauce) when eating, but there are only simple dishes...

I was a regular guest for an aperitif or occasionally for something to eat. Unfortunately, the service as well as the appreciation leaves a lot to be desired. I asked her German colleague (with glasses) if there was anything to nibble on for the aperitif. His answer was, I just ran out of it. My colleague and I then had to wait quite a long time for our drinks. Her colleague preferred to greet arriving campers and otherwise took his time. When he finally brought the drinks. I said to him; Hand on heart, they have never had anything to nibble on with an alcoholic drink. He answered; Yes, but I thought it was pretty bold to ask….. I probably don’t need more feedback. Now I regularly go to Salzano where there is something to nibble on and “man” can also ask for it.

Cheese fondue was delicious. Furthermore, small map. The kids thought the waiter was very cheerful and funny.

Campsite with all services. Very friendly groundskeeper. Highly recommended.

Like every year it was super good and the service was very friendly. Update 2022 Unfortunately there has been a change in service and there is no longer a breakfast plate due to a "shortage of staff".

Gemütlucher place with camping, beautiful log cabin

A wonderful, very clean, friendly and very uncomplicated check-in, guided camping... Lake Thun can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes... we slept in our VW... electricity was about 10 m away... a cable reel or extension cable should be provided You have to have it with you anyway, the night costs 8.- per person... 22.- the car... electricity 4.50.- and Kericht 2.-... tourist tax is on top of that...

Hiking on the Lombach is great in every season. And then along the lake and shipping canal back to Interlaken.
