I don't know what day it was, but the sight of local residents dancing happily while holding beer and hot dogs was impressive.

The castle with its impressive park and the children's chalet are definitely worth a trip. The interactive kitchen and the servants' wing as well as the oriental smoking room are highlights in the castle. The castle's history and the servants' track, which is described in detail, show well how the servants lived with their masters. The castle ghost is also awakened from its sleep when visited. On certain Sundays, the disguise studio is open, where ladies and gentlemen as well as children can dress up in the castle dressed as knights, ladies in waiting, court jesters, etc. Oberhofen Castle is top. Always worth a visit, whether to get married, with friends or visitors from abroad or with family.

It is a beautiful tourist attraction and the employees are courteous. There is a special section on Islamic civilization on the upper floors

I am so happy I went this morning during the dress up castle day, after twelve years living in the area. The best castle, mansion tour I have ever experienced. The interactive parts of the castle were the best. I will be going again!

Pretty-looking castle on the lake, with a free admission to gardens and some premises. Best view is from the ferry pier nearby though. Parking space is quite limited.

Enchanting little castle with beautiful gardens, located directly on Lake Thun. The video presentations in individual rooms are very entertaining, e.g. E.g. servants who talk about their everyday life. Also interesting for children thanks to the search game and castle ghost.

We ended up coming here after bad weather elsewhere changed our plans, and we're so glad we did. We have 3 children who enjoyed the mouse hunt, that kept them engaged while we toured the castle. It was beautiful and we would happily return.

I really liked the castle. Interesting exposition. Many floors. It's interesting to wander around and see. Nice museum workers. Also a nice yard. Magnificent view from the window. We didn’t find a beach right nearby, so we went to another place. You must enter the castle without a stroller. The steps are high. You need to be careful. The car was left nearby in the parking lot.

Very helpful and friendly people. Very child friendly. You can try on clothes, open cupboards and digital information is used in a good way. Don't forget to go all the way to the top for the castle's showpiece.

We did not go inside because the entire Switzerland holiday was already expensive, but we did walk through the castle garden. Very nicely landscaped and the views are beautiful. There was also a guestbook in which we wrote something. There is parking nearby and it was not busy at all.

Was looking forward so much to go in but was refused as the receptionist couldn't accept the QR code we had on our phones with Swiss Travel Pass as she didn't have a reader.we we're so disappointed ☹️

The castle is very nice, yes, I recommend not trying to get your feet wet where the boats are because it is very slippery and you could get a headbutt.

Great place to visit! There was a dress-up atelier, which our daughters loved. They could alsof participate in a sort of treasure hunt! A must for adults and children.

A dishonest lady staff working on 4 Aug 2023 afternoon tried to lie to me that the ticket is 12 francs but it was actually 10 francs only.

During our visit to Oberhofen Castle, we were captivated by its fairytale-like appearance and the serene atmosphere surrounding it. The castle itself dates back to the 13th century and has been well-preserved over the years.

The restaurant has style. The service is very friendly. The afternoon menu includes a vegetarian focacca with tomato and mozzarella. I highly recommend this as it was crispy, flavorful and slightly warm. Enjoy a glass of rose wine and admire the wonderful view over Lake Thun.

I couldn't see the inside of the castle because it was closed, but the garden was open, so the secret spot along the garden was a truly amazing view point, and it was a gem where you could enjoy a lake bath. It seems to be a place only for locals.

Very pretty, interesting and lively, there is even a secret passage in the library 👀 The only downside: all audio is in German and the upper floor is closed at 4:45 p.m. Pay attention to the closing time, we were not informed at reception...

I think it's a shame that you now have to pay money for cultural institutions. I think such landmarks should be open to the public and not something to profit from. But that's just Switzerland. Nevertheless, it is a very beautiful castle in a very beautiful location.

A castle whose image can be found on many puzzles. A very beautiful castle, partly on the water, and the surrounding gardens are also very beautiful. It's a shame that they built a glass cafe in the center of the castle, which does not fit the visual identity of the castle at all.

We made a quick stop because we saw it from the road. Beautiful medieval castle. Next to the lake there is a club-restaurant with beautiful views. I would make a stop to see the place (optional to enter and see the exhibitions inside). At least from the outside and the patios and garden are worth it.

A truly wonderful place that you should definitely visit. Perfect photos are created.

This is castle was different than the one we visited in Thun. What I really liked about it was they gave kids a scavenger hint to do through the castle. At first my 11 & 13 yr old weren't interested in it, but ended up having fun. There are some interactive things to do there too.

The castle and gardens are beautiful and the settinf is idyllic. The museum is huge but not overwhelming with fascinating exhibits and clever interactive displays.

It's near the pier, easy to access, and the interior furnishings are impressive.

A very magnificent castle, from the 13th century, on the banks of Thun, with a beautiful view, a small but nice garden and very well-preserved and enchanting rooms. We also met a small castle donation, after which we served precious dishes in the castle's restaurant.

I cycled past it one evening and was very impressed. I'll have to take a closer look. The restaurant looked fancy too. 😁😎

This is a ver picture perfect area. The castle is nice and the view around it lovely. There is a small restaurant outside which is independent. Parking is limited so beware. Benches to sit and a small harbour area. Overall it's worth stopping

Mega great castle tour!! There is a booklet for children that takes you through the entire castle with a great story. It's beautifully done, a big compliment!!! Our kids were full of mouse catching fever. 🤩
