Boilerroom in Winterthur

Price/performance not given, tasty burger, but too small for the price. Service was carried out by around 4MA at the same time, but still only half-heartedly. Mayo costs extra…srsly?

I think the restaurant is good. I had the Boilerroom Burger. The food comes in a basket and therefore has a bit of a fast food feel. I think the atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly. Overall, however, I think the price/performance ratio is rather on the borderline.

The music is way too loud. It's not possible to have a normal conversation there. Music requests were not responded to.

Slightly snobby. If there are five of you who want a place, but various free tables should be reserved, but no one comes, I think it's nice...

The whole experience was pretty average, it seems the restaurant is just laid out to serve as many customers on as little space as possible with quite expensive prices. All food is served in trays with backing paper, single use containers and no cutlery so that no washing is needed. The portions are really small for its price and the burger was already quite cold when it arrived. The quality of the meat and fries was decent though and service staff friendly. There is also loud music playing in the background so having conversations over dinner is rather difficult.

Burger meat wasn't cooked properly. Fries quality poor, dry and sweet potatoes were soaked in oil grease. Cheesecake arrived without raspberries and whipped cream in the packaging. In a precarious condition. Ended up in the trash. First and last order. Even fast food is better quality.

A very eclectic and welcoming place, inside the old boiler room of a factory with very high ceilings that provide an interesting feeling. Very good service and very generous food for its price. Highly recommended.

One could think this bar holds an annual contest of Winterthurs next Top-Bartender, their employees are that much of a vibe.

Cool place with a cool ambience. Just too expensive for my taste, but great bread. Burger for 25 CHF is not worth it. I also hope that the tenant doesn't have to pay the rent for ccm3, given the ceiling height. All in all, ok to good.

The margarita definitely needs to be reworked. I have no idea why, but unfortunately you can't drink it. I was disappointed. Then there's the high price...

The restaurant is very nice. The service is fast and good. The staff are wonderful. A young man named Joel helped us. He is an active and respectful employee. As for the food, it is beyond wonderful. I don't know the chef's name, but he has magical hands. The food is wonderful. I advise everyone to try it. Thank you for this service. Me and my wife enjoyed this evening.

Really cool industrial oldscool cozy atmosphere. Mega sound system, service staff, drinks and just everything great in there 🥰💪❤️🔝. Absolutely recommendable this former Sulzer heating system 💪.

Reserved early, but ended up crammed into a lounge with a group of strangers like a sardine can. Burgers were ok but nothing special at all. Waiting time for drinks was also quite long.

The Boilerroom in Winterthur is really great! The place has a special atmosphere and is worth a visit. I often order the curcumint, a burger + the cheese cake. It tastes great every time! It would be nice if you could resume the electro swing music you used to play. This gave the ambience a special touch. Nevertheless, the Boilerroom remains a great place to go, with its industrial charm and delicious food.

Unfortunately we didn't have a great table, even though I reserved it relatively early (in my opinion). When asked, it was said that there were groups at the other tables, but I didn't see any... But the food was very good (apart from the cheesecake, I wouldn't order it again) & it had a great atmosphere & good drinks.

We were in the Boilerroom as a group on Sunday evening. The service is very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, the nachos we ate were soggy after 2 minutes and were therefore no longer really edible.

A big discovery for me. Very successful mix of old factory and new, trendy restaurant business. This is how I imagine it would happen if such historic buildings were reused in this way: intelligently and with the right taste. Only the music should be a little quieter and not as dominant.

Undoubtedly 5 stars. Very good food, we had two burgers and two drinks. Even if a little expensive it's really worth a try. The staff who served us were really courteous and friendly, the environment was clean and characteristic with themed decorations. Also highly recommended for larger groups, they have really huge sofas on which to relax and spend a nice evening together. Must try again!

We had the wrong drink 4 times, unfortunately the service leaves something to be desired. And the waiting time is far too long, out of 6 people only half came in 20 minutes and when the rest came everything was just warm...

We waited 15 minutes for drinks, although it was only about 2 iced teas. Cola came twice without carbonation and the third time it was very warm. Sorry, it doesn't work at all. Eating a caeser salad came with ingredients that weren't on the menu (tricky if someone is allergic to nuts). Crutons are not present. Quesadilla chicken was very spicy and probably wasn't on the menu either. My impression is very disappointing, and the price ratio is not correct either. Sorry

The Boilerroom is a pleasant bar for the winter. The industrial look looks really good.

Good beer (even if not a huge selection), really good atmosphere. Unfortunately the nachos are unacceptable - just chips with a bit of melted cheese and chili. I would suggest them to look up some nacho recipes. Still would come back and try something else.

A very nice ambience that has absorbed the charm of the industrial buildings. The spare ribs were a bit dry, but I only really know of one shop that can prepare them perfectly and tenderly. Unfortunately, I always use this standard for comparison. All in all, a very nice environment.

The food at Boilerrom is always very good. I can especially recommend the “Brie Burger”! The drinks/cocktails are also very tasty and fresh. A great place to enjoy an after-work beer. The ambience is unique and the restaurant is very stylish and cozy. The service is super nice and friendly, but they could be a little more attentive.

Cool spot with great burgers. Stylish place suitable for date, business dinner or hanging out with friends. We ordered different types of burgers and everyone was satisfied. Juicy meat (cooked to medium), soft bun, tasty but not owner powering sauce. Fries were ok, but nothing special in my opinion. What was special on the other hand is ketchup. High-quality, tasted like real tomatoes. The service was super. I don't know their names, but first young lady with a nice smile then a big manly man who was also very friendly and nice.

Hmmm, good burgers. A place to meet old friends, chat and enjoy a burger with a beer or a glass of red wine.

We only had one drink and didn't eat anything. Service was very friendly, prompt and the location was very nice.

It's loud, very loud. On the one hand it's because of the building and on the other hand it's because of the music. The furnishings and the room look fantastic. But loudly, you can still have a short conversation between two people. At 3 it becomes difficult. Food was good, strange that you put cucumber, tomatoes and onions next to the burger and then fries on top. You have to build the burger yourself. The bottom fries were soggy as a result. Service was great, for the small number of staff and the size, it was quick.

The restaurant is very uncomfortable, there is loud music, the chairs are very hard and you sit so close to your neighbor that you almost have to shout at each other (with the music). Food was mediocre, service was great.

We were there 30 minutes before the movie opened to have a beer. The order was taken, but then we had to wait 25 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't full

We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening just after 10 p.m. Needed a table for 7 people. This was a problem because there was only one table available that was too big. But then we got this. When taking the order, the waiter leaned with his arms at the top of the table. It was very difficult for the guests at the other end of the table to place their orders because the waiter didn't understand anything. He would just have to move a little. We waited 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive! When paying, the waiter asked for a tip - like a beggar. He didn't get anything because the service wasn't okay. He even mentioned this to a friend who was paying. Of course, the Football World Cup (SRF2) was shown on the TV screens. I thought it was bad that a feature film continued afterwards. The ambience is otherwise good. The drinks/cocktails were also good. The prices are okay.

Cool place for a beer after work or something

I reserved two spots a week in advance. Reservation was also confirmed, everything was perfect. Two days before the appointment I get an email saying the reservation has been cancelled. There are no longer any appointments available on the website on this day. Call went nowhere. Bravo, keep it up...

Great food, unique atmosphere! The boiler room is suitable for a beer at the end of the day or for a simple dinner. Good value for money, service is sometimes a bit confusing!

I wanted to give 4 stars, but ended up giving 5... Reason: I criticized the slow/unfriendly staff some time ago. Was in the boiler room again yesterday = very friendly, cool and attentive - TOP :-) Fine drinks, good burgers; and the industrial ambience in the boiler room is unique anyway. I like the choice between lounges and tables/chairs - depending on your needs.... If there is a lot going on/before the cinema opens you just have to allow a little more time, reservations may even be recommended.

Food was very good. But the service very, very bad. Starter was forgotten. Very inattentive staff. Person in charge very unprofessional. Complained to us about how strict he was and how much he had to work. I had to place some orders in English because one of the service people didn't speak German. It's a shame because I really liked the place so far. But I won't go there anymore.

The location is very cool, but the service and the food still have a lot of potential. We were a group of over 20 people, registered, and had to wait 40 minutes for drinks. The Stakeburger does not correspond to any stake and the price to ice ratio is not correct at all.

Nice athmosphere and ambient, but food quality and service speed is below switzerlands average. To be honest i can only judge about the Stake Burger because that was my chose that evening. The vedgetables were fresh and the Bun allright but the Meat was much more than well done and chewinggum is almost a kind word for its taste or to be more precise its consistency... I'm very sad about the quality of the meat as it was realy grilled more like a lether belt. I higly reccomend to take a standardt burger as those looked much better...

The location looks super cool. The food (in my case spare ribs) is rather overrated in my opinion. We had reserved a table over 2 months ago and unfortunately we got a call on day (Of course it was no longer possible to look for something else for a large group) The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We were a group of 16 people at the Boilerroom on a Saturday to celebrate a 30th birthday. I had reserved in advance by email and also wrote that we would like to toast at 12 p.m. to celebrate the birthday. According to the website, opening times are until 2:00 a.m. The food and drinks were good. However, at 10:30 p.m. we were told that the last round would now be made because there was so little else going on. The boss didn't accommodate us at all, even though I was confirmed in writing that we could stay until after 12 p.m. So I had to go and ask other bars if they had space for 16 people… Since more guests came out of the cinema, the last round was postponed by an hour so that we could toast at 12 with half-empty drinks. Very disappointing!

The ambience is simply awesome. I really like these old Sulzer buildings. It's something special. The food is very good, the service is friendly and quick. The prices are absolutely fine. With larger groups, you should definitely reserve a table if you want to eat. The lounges were very comfortable but inconvenient for eating.

Due to too few employees there was an admission stop. Very bad organization.
