Brasserie Obstberg in Bern

Great evening, great food, great service.

Great atmosphere, very nice staff and delicious, exquisite dishes.

We were in Obstberg for the second time today. Again the food and service was very good. Then again fine, small desserts to end a very good meal.

We had the four-course menu. Some things were quite innovative, everything was very good. The only thing that bothered me was the wine: I googled it and it can be bought cheaply at the Coop. Really nothing special but here in the restaurant it is sold as special and expensive. I understand that every restaurant has to make sales through drinks, but I still don't want to drink cheap Coop wine in a restaurant of this (price) class.

Great dinner for my birthday comrades. The table was decorated. The tartare is highly recommended. Gladly again!

Went there for my partner's birthday. Nice brasserie with excellent service. We had the beef tartare and the duck liver as starters. Both dishes were very good with a decent portion size. The main course was the Cordon Bleu (must try) and the fish of the day. The portions here are really very generous. Service was very attentive and was able to guide us very well in the wine selection. Gladly again, then on the terrace in summer.

The Christmas menu was very creative and consisted of different components. A real culinary delight including courteous service. I will gladly come again!

Excellent food in a nice, cozy atmosphere. The service is very courteous and competent. Highly recommended. We recommend traveling by public transport as the parking situation in the area is somewhat tense.

Obstberg is basically always possible. Good and stable quality for years. Parking nearby is sometimes not easy.

The food, buisness lunch 3 course menu, was very good but at CHF 54 it was definitely too expensive! If you are very hungry, you cannot satisfy it because the portions are much too small!!!

Absolutely 💯 👍🏽 for the food and atmosphere! Meret Egli was incredibly attentive; in fact, she let us in 10 minutes before the opening hours, which greatly helped calm the kids after a long day at the Seilpark. We were there as a group for my office outing with 12 adults and 7 kids. The only hiccup was the time it took to serve the food. It took over an hour to serve the starter salad, which made the kids very impatient. I would rate the service 3* due to this delay. We will definitely return, but please keep a close eye on serving times...

The food was good, I've had a coq au vin. But I wouldn't recommend coming here if you or your date were vegetarian.

Very nice atmosphere and nice staff. The food is beautifully presented and looks great. Unfortunately it doesn't taste the same. No idea what was wrong with the chef or if this is standard. The fois gras was served with extra salt and inappropriate sour fruits. The goat cheese was tart to bitter. Bitter notes also dominated the Coc au Vin. The fish was OK but not special either. A pity.

We had a place in the secluded garden and enjoyed the time. The food was very good, as was the service. The restaurant is located a little away from major traffic flows and has virtually no parking spaces. However, you can get there very quickly from the center of Bern by bus and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Noble restaurant but still relaxed and cozy. Lunch menu is affordable, otherwise in the upper price range. Try Tarte Tatin! Simply heavenly!

Very nice garden area, friendly and attentive service. Cordon Bleu is highly recommended, unfortunately the rest of the selection was a bit poor. Salad was standard but very good dressing, tomato terrine wasn't quite my favorite despite the cheese. But overall recommended.

... a real brasserie with a small, classic but current menu and always wines that are a great discovery. The beautiful, simple hall emphasizes the noble in the plate. In summer with a suitable terrace under the trees in a quiet area. That was 4 years ago, in between a disappointment at an overpriced guest appearance and today here again with little expectation but great anticipation. The service was excellent, friendly and sweet... the food was correct but somehow there was a lack of enthusiasm in the kitchen. It was correct but unfortunately that certain something was missing. Still cry well.

Portions too small, prices too high, waiting too long!

The service was very friendly and attentive. The lunch menu had a large selection of menus, so there was something for everyone. The food was very tasty and I can only recommend it.

Very warm and charming brasserie atmosphere. To be on the safe side, I reserved online in good time and got the best place for a dog owner (stated under comments). The beef tartare for lunch was, as usual, excellent. The staff very friendly and attentive.

Excellent really fits here. Really top class 👌👌👌. The price may be a little higher, but you get the quality and service you deserve! Despite the fine cuisine, you get something on your plate and don't have to wait for the next course after 2-3 bites. The Angus beef fillet was excellent and the chocolate cake was a revelation! On a Wednesday evening we went to the Brasserie Obstberg for the first time. The five of us were seated by the window in the very beautiful hall. As an aperitif, the very attentive and friendly service recommended a glass of champagne or the house cocktail. A martini with apple juice and lemon 🍋 mega delicious combo. The menu is clear and very seasonal, everyone will find something here. The starter was a tartare which was very good and the main course was the main course from the menu which was topped off by the very tasty ravioli. For dessert there was a fantastic chocolate mousse with strawberries 🍓. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the lights on the tree outside make me look forward to my next visit to the terrace.

The food was first class, simply sensational! The service was very attentive, friendly and also had a pleasant sense of humor. It is important to reserve a table early enough, as there is usually nothing left spontaneously. The prices are on the higher side, but this is justified given the excellent quality - the price-performance level is therefore right. We'll definitely be back.

We went to Brasserie Obstberg for lunch. The online reservation was easy and hassle-free. The service was very friendly and left a professional impression. The food is as usual, simply delicious. The Brasserie Obstberg is also recommended for wedding dinners and company events.

Lunch here on our last day in Bern was wonderful. The setting was beautiful, sitting in the picturesque garden, shaded by the trees. The food was delicious and the service was efficient and friendly.

Great restaurant, very attentive service. So far we have always been very satisfied. Yesterday, however, not so much. We had the coq au vin which was quite disappointing. The dish tasted only of alcohol and not of wine. I also make this dish myself and know it from France - so I know how it should taste. I was surprised, the Coq au vin is a kind of “signature dish”. Everything else was perfect, no question. We will be back!

The Brasserie Obstberg is a very nice restaurant. The ambience is very harmonious and invites you to linger. When the dining room is full, it is quite loud. But that's part of the charm of a brasserie. We had Graubünden barley soup as a starter. This was excellent. For the main course I had the cordon bleu and my wife had the coq au vins. Apart from the side dishes, the main courses were very good. The French fries allumettes smelled of heavily used oil and the tallierini stuck to the plate because they had probably stood for a long time before they were served. The biggest criticism is that the wine you ordered is not shown to you at the table. After all, a glass costs around 9 CHF and the carafe was simply put there without it being clear to us whether it was the wine we ordered or not. In total everything cost us around CHF 200. Price is ok, performance still has potential.

Very good cuisine and friendly staff. I had the ceviche for starters, a rack of lamb for the main course and the Mocha Trilogy for dessert. Everything was perfect except for dessert and the reason why I don't deduct anything for dessert is because I usually avoid dessert and therefore it could also be my fault.
