I love this place because it has a very good atmosphere and the staff is very competent and professional with a welcome that I appreciate. Good food the way I like it with simplicity and a touch of creativity, it all depends on the dish you take.

Overall, my evening at the Basel Brewery was very pleasant. The staff was extremely polite and accommodating, which made the visit particularly pleasant. The Wiener Schnitzel was good, the French fries were a bit too dry, so one star was deducted from the meal. But in combination with the extremely successful wine from the selection of open wines, the evening could be considered a success. In short, I would like to come back, especially because of the friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere.

We were able to spend an excellent and unforgettable evening in the wine bar.

Nice place to dine in But noisy and lively

We ate very well. The deer carpaccio was a little too cold but the excellence of the other dishes makes us give it 5 stars. I recommend the squash risotto with candied chestnuts and the chestnut mascarpone mousse dessert with meringue and rose hips.

Very beautiful garden that is so inviting in the summer. Tartare was fine. Unfortunately the meat was a bit dry in the main course. Nice wine list and delicious desserts. Simple but nice.

We chose this restaurant for its location (next to the old Warteck breweries, near the Rhine: convenient for swimming, for the good comments) but ultimately a little above it for various things: services not up to par (forgotten order, staff is unfriendly and comments (ah yes you don't speak German! While we understand it and speak English...) We stopped at the entrances because we were not offered the menu for the rest and finally we were Said the dessert menu orally and we had one (which was very good in itself.) You can find better in Basel I think.

Very good restaurant at the highest level (in all areas). The individual courses were very stylishly prepared and tasted very good. The ambience in the wood-panelled rooms is cozy and invites you to linger.

I don't even know where to start... I won't go into much detail about the food. Price performance very poor. Overpriced and food was OK at best. But the service was just a mess. After we ate for over 1000 (as I said, the food was OK at best) we were chased away from the farm because we didn't fit into the picture. Even after several days, the frustration is still so deep that this recession simply has to be over now. With the best will in the world, something like that doesn't work. We definitely lost the restaurant forever.

Pure disappointment in the store is the reason we never want to go to Switzerland again!!!!

Beautiful design with a combination of the historic and the modern. delicious and good quality food, clean toilets, you can get there by tram or park in the surrounding streets. Waiting time for food is a bit long.

I've been there for dinner 4 times within a short period of time. The first time was pure coincidence because our "blackhead" came from Roche and we were looking for a restaurant within walking distance of him. The subsequent visits were deliberately chosen because we go out to eat with our customers relatively often and I have visited many restaurants in Basel, but none have been better! Very friendly and competent staff! Very tasty dishes - even the seasonal ones...! Very cozy and sociable! My absolute favorite restaurant!

Menu very oriented towards Swiss cuisine but the quality is there. Their back garden is quite nice. It's been a few times, the service is always a little slow which is not ideal for a weekday lunch break.

We had dinner with friends. We had starters, main course and dessert, everything was very good and our friends were also enthusiastic. The staff is friendly and attentive, can explain the dishes well and also knows their way around the wine list. The restaurant is like a classic brewery inside, but not too dark and well maintained. All in all, recommended!

I recently had the venison entrecote. It came beautifully presented with spaetzle. The meat was beautifully seared and very tasty. I can highly recommend it.

Restaurant with ambience suitable for dinner, as well as beer after work. May 2022: a business lunch in style. The hosts were all very friendly, attentive and a well-rehearsed team. Delicious asparagus time -> Burratina with asparagus, Mistchratzerli on asparagus and the crème brulee for dessert, all really tastefully and beautifully presented.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time!!! The goat cheese starter was outstanding, but the asparagus ravioli was really delicious! You can't get something this good everywhere! The desserts were also very, very good, I liked the cheesecake best ❤️❤️❤️ we'll definitely be back!!!

Unfortunately, absolutely inadequate. We had to wait 45 minutes for our salad as a starter! The tomato salad was clearly not fresh! The main course, pork cordon bleu (with Appenzeller cheese) as well as vegetables and fries. The fries were completely inedible (dripping with fat, partly still half frozen on the inside). The vegetables were lukewarm, the fennel was unpeeled. And the Appenzellerkäse Scheiblettenkäse liquid. Simply expensive, price/performance is not right at all.
