Brezelkönig in Zürich

I was at the Brezelkönig in the morning and I really have to say the staff was very polite and friendly as always. It was Tuesday tomorrow and the normal employees at this time are mostly tired, but in Brezelkönig the staff is fully motivated. He made my day better.🌹

They have a vegan brezel, delicious and not so expensive for Switzerland, 2.50CHF plus also a couple of sandwiches. There are them in many train stations.

When I'm out and about in Zurich and feel a little hungry, I often go to the Brezelkönig. But you definitely shouldn't have too high expectations: Since I usually go out in the afternoon or early evening, I have often received a sandwich that was simply no longer fresh. You can just tell that they lay carelessly piled up on top of each other for hours, waiting for a buyer. I have also experienced more than once that the butter spread still had remains of mustard or barbecue sauce on it. I've also received a completely wrong bun and unfortunately noticed it too late to bring it back. There's always something... I've never found the staff unfriendly, but they often seem a bit listless and bored. Of course, all of this contributes to the fact that I now think at least twice about whether I should do this to myself. And since I'm obviously not the only one with these impressions, it might be worth rethinking the employment policy - in general...

Today, after a while, I went to the Brezelkönig again at the HB. The friendliness of the staff still leaves a lot to be desired. Today we preferred to talk to a delivery courier. I guess I'm lucky that the only word I received was a bored "Hello." Unfortunately, I only took the pretzel out of the bag a few minutes after I bought it on the train. It was hard, not really edible, not fresh and was only half baked with cheese. Price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here.

Apparently it's not even a personnel problem. today pretzel in Zurich train station. no one there. it is swept. I ask about sunflower seed pretzel with butter. two more customers come. He doesn't have time for that and has to serve the others first. I have to wait until he has time. like yesterday, no pretzel for me. a lot of effort because you have to do it dozens of times throughout the day anyway. This time I am very disappointed with this Brezelkönig at the HB next to Terlinden/Starbucks because the pretzels are not always fresh. On June 25, 2023, we were there around lunchtime and bought a raclette pretzel, chorizo ​​sandwich and two chocolate pretzels. When we got home we noticed that all the pretzels and the sandwich were not fresh. The raclette pretzel was as hard as a stone, I would be happy to send you a video about it. Every time I visit this specific Brezel König, I regret it. They've already given me an old Brezel and they're never friendly and pleasant. I am a regular customer at another Brezel König and have never had any problems. I won't go back to this one again, I hope something improves.

The behaviour of the staff here was quite rude.. if any brezelkönig management are reading this review, please take strong note of this feedback - the team at this store needs to be taught basic levels of customer service… in the picture u can see for yourself the particular staff who did not behave properly…

I've got an old bretzel, bizzare

I don't speak Swiss German but I do speak the universal language English. I spoke in English to the cashier she did not understand and moreover she Mans not robber my. Coffee forced to return and moreover I took a photo to make a review Ellie cnest mock me I find your staff not at all professional and for a city like Zurich they must speak English 😱.

As a frequent customer I am shocked! Sold me an old Bretzel. Instead of being fresh and crunchy it was moist and chewy as if it was held in plastic bag for week! Absolute no go! If i wouldn't have to run for the train, I would definitely come back for an explanation!

Pretzel with so little butter it's hard to see!!! It's not like that in other Bretzel König stores, please don't skimp on butter, it really doesn't work that way.

I was just at Berzelkönig opposite Drinks of the World. I always buy butter pretzels, but this time my pretzel was so salty that I only had the taste of salt in my mouth with every bite. Unfortunately I couldn't continue eating, it just wasn't edible. A pity.

First time having a traditional soft German Brezel. They even had vegan healthy versions of it! Pumpkin seed and sunflower seeds all over the brezels! I liked mine. Could have had a little less salt though in my opinion. My husband has a cheese one and he was disappointed because they did not warm his up…. Kind of tasted bad partly because it was cold…. The lady was nice to allow him to change his pumpkin seeded one for the cheese one before she handed it to him though. I would go back and try another vegan one.

I was here today and the service was the best. The staff are the friendliest and the food is always great. I would definitely like to come back!

Unfriendly service, a shame, pretzel was fine

At 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 16, 2023 the hot dog station was already dismantled. I also visit the Brezelkönig 2-3 times a week and always notice that the hot dogs are usually sold out (especially chicken, since I don't eat pork) and the bread is usually dry and seems to be from the day before or tomorrow.

Pretzel very good but quite expensive, please always double and triple check the change, the second time it was wrong, not in my favor :) I was just in the other Brezelkönig in the HB, because I don't trust the other one anymore, at 7:00 and it was half empty 😬

2023.01 Switzerland 🇨🇭 They are everywhere in the Zurich station. I ordered the sweet butterfly cake, which has clear layers and is quite delicious, but the freshness is not as good as that at Zurich Airport, and it feels like it has been stored for a long time.

Unfriendly employee who served me today (January 30th, 2023) at the Brezelkönig State Museum at around 9:30 p.m. I was neither greeted nor farewell. Nice employees, delicious food and simply tip top

The man who often goes there in the evening is never in a good mood. I often get a To Good To Go package there and usually get the absolute minimum if not less, e.g. 3 pretzels even though there were plenty of sandwiches left. I know it's not a dream concert, but the customer is promised three times the price and that's definitely not it. The guy should be sent to another place...

The employees there are always super friendly, no matter what time of day it is, and they still hurry to complete the sale quickly so that you still manage to get your train.

I really enjoy going to Brezelkönig and often. But unfortunately it's always a very unpleasant encounter at the main station and you feel more like a burden than a king... The Bretzelkönig should have been open since 5 a.m. It's 5:10 a.m. and there are about 10 people standing in front of the store but the employee doesn't open the door and ignores us. I watched him aggressively insult an Asian woman in front of all the customers because she asked how long the pretzel would last. I buy a pretzel every now and then at various branches, but never at HB Zurich anymore. The service was friendly, but the pretzel was definitely no longer fresh. Both the pretzel and Mostbröckli were bone dry. The fact that such goods are still being sold is damaging to the image. Not to mention the possible health risks at these temperatures! Someone would have to pay attention to compliance with the values. As it says so beautifully on the HP: Passion for pretzels. Naturalness and freshness - that's what you can expect from each of our products. Definitely not in the HB branch!

The working conditions at Valora AG are already the lowest minimum, and one would simply wish that an American company with more than enough turnover would also show a little humanity and the Swiss federal government should do something against such exploitation of our citizens.

I actually had very positive experiences at other Brezelkönig locations (Uster station, Altstetten station) where the employees always treated you in a very friendly and polite manner.

I was very hungry and actually wanted to buy a small pretzel for -2.CHF like every other pretzel king... well, they didn't have any small ones anymore and wanted to offer us an expensive one... they didn't make any small ones anymore and then they just had the customer just picked up on us and turned us away! The staff was also unfriendly. No thanks!

Wanted a chocolate pretzel and she gave me a sandwich. When I wanted to point out the error, she was already busy with the next customer. I resigned myself to it since I had to rush for the train and just paid. I am very dissatisfied with the seller. I ordered a tomato mozzarella sandwhich from Brezelkönig at Sihlquai and when I removed the napkin I discovered this insect between the sandwhich and the napkin. Again, I threw away the entire sandwhich. It's a shame, I'm otherwise a fan of the Brezelkönig chain.
