Went for a relaxing wellness/spa day as a couple. I had planned a surprise massage for my boyfriend. 1) All ordered and paid for online. I gave my name and said there was a surprise for my partner who was standing next to me. Surprise popped since the lady didn't get the hint and went on to explain at what time he had to be where for his massage...super. no big deal but yeah. 2) since my partner had a massage booked he got his little bag with bathrobe and towel. I asked for a bathrobe and after insisting a bit the lady got some from upstairs. I asked for an X-Large ...she just answered she has no idea of the sizes since they were from upstairs...there's a tag inside with the size...again, no big deal, but yeah...I just left the bathrobe open... 3) we were there early so were able to enjoy the outside warm pools without too many screaming kids at the beginning. That ended quickly and we took refuge in the spa area until the end of the day. (I like kids but the idea was a relaxing and calm day) 4) in the 16+ spa area there isn't a single small normally warm water area. There's a fantastic very hot water grotto but you don't do more than 10 minutes in there...it's really hot. So thermal water enjoyment was limited. 5) still in the 16+ spa area: downstairs is the grotto and the 3 steam baths, wellness showers, toilets and a cold water basin. This area is with clothes. Upstairs are the saunas, another cold water basin and showers as well as Kneipp paths. This area is without clothes. So if you want to go from saunas to steam and back you're constantly getting dressed and undressed.. really practical. This brings me to the next point: 6) I understand that a business needs to make money but a tiny investment in a lot more hooks for bathrobes and towels and a few benches in the spa wouldn't kill the budget. I didn't count but I think there were about 30 hooks total in the downstairs area and not a single bench. No place to just sit a couple of minutes. Upstairs wasn't much better...at least there was one bench, used mostly by people to deposit their stuff -and of course the bathing suits they had to put on and off. 7) in the non-textile area there was the one and only hydration point with tea and water. At least there were tables and chairs as well a few long chairs. So in theory, if you're thirsty after doing a few steam baths, you need to take your swimsuit off before you can get some water...which nobody did. And don't even think about taking your water bottle: there are signs everywhere with "no drinks or food"! 8) the "relaxing" rooms. There are a few of these, nice, with fireplaces and wavy lounge beds. Not very cuddly for couples and depending on your back, quite uncomfortable. These could have used a bit more soundproofing: the screaming kids were heard despite the music and crackling fire. 9) end of day: time to take a shower, get dressed and go. So imagine a sort of assembly line: logically, you'd get your bag which you stowed in the most impractical lockers I've ever seen, then you'd move on to the shower area and then to the dressing area. Here they've decided on something more sporty: so first you have the showers but you need to go get your shower stuff in the impractical lockers with absolutely no benches or spot to put your things, just the floor (great for aching backs! ) then you go back to the shower area, again just one tiny hook for your shower stuff, bathrobe, towel and bathing suit. Once done there you walk through the common area, get your bag from the locker and go further to the dressing booths. Once dressed, you can move on with your stuff to the common hair drying/mirrors and shoe area. Again, a total lack of deposit space. I can't even imagine how much of a pain in the rear this is for people with kids. So it's a nice place BUT someone really needs to put themselves in the visitors' shoes and review the concept!

A very nice spa area, especially the thermal grotto. But the absolute highlight is the sauna infusion with Adrian! It's an incredible experience that goes far beyond a normal infusion. Adrian creates the infusion to the event with great, artistic performances that I have never seen before. The way he spins the towels and catches them again is a feast for the eyes. Be sure to experience it!

At the checkout I was able to buy a sauna towel and a bathrobe for 20chf. If you don't have your own towel with you, you can also buy one for a small amount and take it home with you at the end. All in all, a worthwhile day! I'll probably come more often while I'm here.

Since the reopening, there have been repeated construction defects. These were largely remedied during the last renovation. The prices have been massively adjusted upwards again for 2024. 3 hours of spa now cost 40.- (initially under 30.-) Too much for me to go once a week, unfortunately. Thermal bath seems outdated and has mold in many places. The flooring is getting old and some pieces are missing. The plates in the bathroom were extremely dirty, so you could tell the water level from the plates alone. The principle of changing clothes / shoe-free zone (shoes are not stored in a wooden cupboard) / locker too far away from changing rooms is impractical. It is certainly a great bath for families, but not so much for couples looking for relaxation.

Bad experience, girl at the reception who only knew German, not even English and already says it all. Pools that aren't worth it, non-existence of thermal treatments, slides that run 5 minutes every 45 minutes... in short, there is little or nothing. The saunas and Turkish baths with smells are worth it, plus every hour there are experiences performed by a professional. We were in the bathroom late in the afternoon the day before yesterday. The cleaning staff were cleaning, but the showers and toilets still looked dirty. When the outside temperature was 9 degrees, we were looking forward to the grotto. Unfortunately this was closed due to renovations (not visible on the website). We waited in vain for the bubbles in the outdoor pool and we couldn't find the massage jets, if there were any. Unfortunately, the announced full boost in the river pool at 5:30 p.m. didn't come either. What exactly did we pay the CHF 24 entry fee for? Our conclusion: Never again Brigerbad. A pity.

Great fun pool with a great slide and spa area, plenty of space and swimming pool. Great selection for anyone who loves swimming pools. A water dispenser on the side while you wait for the slide in the sun would be awesome. The service in the restaurant is well staffed, but a bit young and inexperienced. But they are very friendly and understand German, English and French, Italian was also heard. At first we had a bit of difficulty orienting ourselves in the spa area. There is a nude area on the first floor and the steam area on the ground floor is up to you. Very nice infusions! 3 hours for everything is a bit short. Price performance absolutely ok. Massage appointments can be booked in advance. Massage could be improved A little more ambience and peace, massage was unfortunately not that satisfactory, rather ok. Flowing process and some strength was missing. However, we are very careful about hygiene. Also in the other areas. Another compliment to the lifeguards, who are extremely patient with young and old, but also assert themselves for everyone's safety. Cashier area clear, nice informative staff.

Unfortunately, some of the play equipment is not complete in the back playground, the toilet facility is clean, but many doors are broken and showers have a leak, the washing up station is really run down, 8 sinks have been attached to 3 shower heads which were then removed after 2 days You still need 4 and the taps are also very difficult to open. However, despite the upcoming renovation, this should be maintained It's a shame that with skilled craftsmanship you could repair everything cheaply. The new pitches, including new power boxes, are big enough, but it would be great to install water connections and wastewater at every pitch; when it rains, there are immediately puddles everywhere as the water has nowhere to drain. I'm curious to see what it looks like after the renovation and will then decide whether to stay again.
