Briolay in Morges

For a bill with 2 dishes, a dessert and a drink, I am charged 4.50 CHF for a carafe of water without warning or reminding them of "their rule" of one drink per person otherwise tap water is charged. On top of that, the staff is borderline rude. To be strongly avoided, there are plenty of pleasant terraces in Morges.

The waitress is very rude. All the tables outside were full, so we went ask her for a table and she told us to be aside, out of her way. At least a greeting would be good, the minimum of politeness. On top of that, they charged CHF4,50 for the tap water with no previous notice, after we had full meal there. It's sad, because the terrasse is pleasant and full of life, but with this behaviours it's hard to come back.

Today I ordered a pancake for 15.- in this establishment. Being in a very precarious situation at the moment, I asked for a glass of tap water to avoid paying for a drink given that I had 20.- left in my account... what was my surprise to discover that I was being billed 2.- this glass of water and especially not having been warned in advance of this expense which was not planned! I know it’s not much 2.-, but when you get down to the nearest franc it changes the situation…. I am disgusted by this lack of transparency, really…. I won't come back again!

Saturday, breakfast….3 dry croissants from the day before!!!….Frs 30 in total…who are we kidding?

The window mentions “non-stop catering” until 6 p.m. while at 5:20 p.m. we are refused entry…

Refused to be served at 5:25 p.m., even though the closing time indicates 6 p.m. Very unfriendly waitress.

The pancakes are not good. Low quality ingredients. The cheese used is an insult to Swiss cheese makers. Salad no better, pre-cut ingredients in a bag. And the icing on the cake, a plastic wrapper was floating in my coffee!! If ever, there is a Breton creperie behind the Manor which deserves your visit much more than this brand which only operates thanks to its location...

The savory crepes are not very filling for the price displayed. Indian-style pancake without pineapple as advertised on the menu... The pancakes were soft and not crispy, cooking needs to be reviewed... Quite expensive for what it was.

Very friendly, young and efficient staff. These are not the best pancakes I have eaten in my life, but the quality is still there.

It's not the first time that I've eaten a crepe here, rather I asked to take it away, but the first time someone reheated a crepe for me in the microwave, without warning me, they added Nutella underneath and thank you goodbye. Really very disappointed this time. Cold pancake that I ate 3 minutes later. I find 9.30frs very expensive for a crepe reheated in the microwave with Nutella.

Early in the morning I will drink my coffee in peace! Nice terrace and a very friendly boss. He makes different pancakes. It's better to meet friends, acquaintances and during the market, Wednesday and Saturday this restaurant is centrally located.

Quick stop for breakfast. It was ok. Service pretty fast

Good crepes, fairly quick waitress, no buckwheat crepes and great that it's a continuously open kitchen but it's a shame that they charge 4 CHF for the carafe of water even though we consumed 4 crepes together. Not commercial at all

Expensive for what it is, a low-end, not salty crepe and, moreover, be careful to go to the toilet afterwards 🥲 stomach aches plus headache after two crepes at home

Is the top of the pancake dry, the bottom wet? Amazing… And 2 francs for a glass of water? 2 stars because the service was good and fast!

I usually eat at this place and the food is good, however, today because the chairs were not in good condition my pants got torn. Considering this, the manager (Mateos) told me that without an invoice for my pants nothing can be done, which is ridiculous who has an invoice for their clothes on hand? Neither the staff nor the manager took any interest in the situation in order to find a means of compensation or a solution. Unfortunate experience and attitude.

I recommend the cheese crusts, didn't taste the rest!

Level zero of pancakes! Tasteless and soft dough, low-end ingredients, defrosted spinach full of water. The horror !

Very disappointing experience... With the magnificent location on the main rue de Morges, we expected much better! Very unfriendly waitress (you feel like you're disturbing) who just brings the dishes without saying a word and making a face. Salad straight out of the Migros package, with a few diced ham and cheese added... Slow service, you have to get up to pay the bill. Could do much better!

This creperie café is very warm, the staff are welcoming, the crepes are just exceptional. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND👌

Charge 2.- for a glass of water when you are a regular customer and on the order you have several pancakes, drinks, beers, etc... it's still small! The crepes are nothing exceptional without being bad, the location on the Grand-rue is however pleasant.

Good morning, On the Briolay terrace on August 13, 2021, ordered a croque-monsieur and a warm goat cheese salad. Very unpleasant surprise... the salad came out of the Migros bag (salad removed!), the bread was bland and seemed to be defrosted and the cheese was the same. My guest’s croque monsieur? Equally unappetizing. I don't understand who is in the kitchen. No particular skills to make these dishes tasty, however.

Frank and straightforward, the place is very warm like the boss! Simple and effective, the crepes are original and regional. Highly recommended 👌🏻
