Arriving in Bern to – among other plans – watch Sporting, and recommended by a mutual friend, we found Büner without really knowing what we were going to do. We were just aware that we would find someone who would speak the same language as us and who, therefore, would facilitate the way everything else would unfold. It was then that, once we passed the entrance, we immediately came across the remains of a Portuguese house: boxes and bottles of ITER, Palanque, CARM, 2PR, among other great nectars of national origin. The promise of a memorable lunch soon began! “Júlio”, as he had been referred to us, arrived at the table, introduced himself, and in a proto-translation of the menu helped us compose a tasting menu in less than 2 minutes. Result: Fantastic! Quality cuisine, with excellent raw materials and a very interesting combination of flavors. Of the dishes, I won't soon forget the Raviolis with Truffle Sauce; Penne pasta with meat and tomato and chilli sauce and Stroganoff with a house recipe. Everything was really good, without forgetting the biggest breading I've ever seen in my life! Not that I had the opportunity to try others, but I would venture to say that I was lucky enough to have lunch in the best restaurant in Bern. Combined with the quality of the meal, Júlio da Silva and his team provide an excellent service, with great attention to detail and constant friendliness, making all the difference! Coming back and recommending, without a doubt! Prost!

Great food, wonderful ambience and the best host in Bern😊

Price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. The veal liver was inedible and the rest was average at best. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Eight of us were in Büner at lunchtime. The lunch menu was very good. I ate fussili with octupus, it was delicious. The food came a little late, we, all pensioners, had time. If we were still working it would have been too late. The Portuguese wine was very good, at 80 francs one of the cheapest wines on the menu. The service was very friendly and we also liked the ambience. The prices for the food are reasonable for the upscale restaurant.

Excellent Restaurant! Worthy of a Michelin Star. Excellent soups - we took 3 types. Excellent and very tasty Roast Beef. Just don’t try to take Schnitzel here - it’s a dry thin piece of parchment - if you know the stuff - it’s Terrible! Rusk in Rusk. But! with excellent excellent Sauce... anyway, this is not food but the sole of a sports shoe. Ravioli with porcini mushrooms - excellent. So - everything is excellent ...except for Schnitzel - the photo is beautiful, but it is a piece of fried paper of poor quality. Desserts are all top notch. Prices are appropriate for a good level Restaurant.

Very quiet location with a wonderful ambience in the garden. Hospitality is lived by Mr. Da Silva and his team and you feel welcome at all times. We had excellent meals with our team on four evenings. Everyone was thrilled by the attentive service and the excellent cuisine. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food at a fair price! We went spontaneously, without a reservation, and yet got a (reserved) table in a dignified atmosphere. Super friendly staff, the menu and the food were delivered quickly. Water was always refilled without being asked. The nut salad was amazing! Followed by super fine taglitelle with salmon, rounded off with a delicious tiramisu. Highly Recommended!

I have never felt so welcome and comfortable as a solo guest in a restaurant Thank you very much for giving me a place to feel comfortable in a foreign country. 🙂 Oh yes, before I forget: you eat very, very well! And the wines are great!

Great food, professional friendly service, restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately there is only one women's toilet for the entire restaurant. You have to wait or use the men's toilet. Still highly recommended :)

The schnitzel didn't just look good 😉 Thank you very much for the top service. We didn't make a reservation and a spot was made available for us despite it being prime time on Saturday evening. Totally uncomplicated and very personable. Gladly again....

Warm host, very good food and excellent wines

Everything was absolutely excellent. Maybe a little noisy when all the tables are full, but that's ok😊 Very warm, friendly and competent service and first-class dishes made from fresh ingredients (you can taste it). The best food? All! The trout mousse was outstanding, the green asparagus was crunchy, the prawns were great and the lamb was super tender.

Service was great, very attentive and friendly. The only drawback: the individual courses were served very quickly and without a break. Menu solid, no outliers towards the bottom or top. The meat/rice ratio wasn't optimal for my taste. I was a bit surprised when we were given a bottle of mineral water immediately after we sat down (but it was fine so far, so it was OK). The room was very well occupied and therefore quite loud. All in all, absolutely OK and would happily go again.

Very good restaurant with excellent quality food and high level service. Really good ingredients. Abundant quantities for all dishes. Good waiting times and very kind and attentive service. Prices quite high but the quality pays off. Parking in the area.

When I ordered the wine, I couldn't quite believe my eyes. Unfortunately, putting on my reading glasses didn't bring any improvement. I found Italian, Spanish and Portuguese wines to be a good selection. But the fact that there was little or only a very small selection of Swiss wines to choose from in a restaurant in Bern (as we all know is part of Switzerland) really irritated me. I don't order Swiss wine in Portugal either! What a shame! At least the food we ordered was well prepared. I still won't go out to eat in Lüner again...

Very fine dinner and extremely friendly staff. Mr. Da Silva knows how to respond professionally to the customer's wishes and was able to give me a valuable tip regarding parking, given the fact that it is currently a challenge to park in the Breitsch district on a Saturday evening. We were there for lunch. Brilliant lunch menu. In other restaurants I always order à la carte, as lunch menus are usually not as creative or appealing. But that's not the case in Büner! Really great. And very courteous staff. Thank you very much!

Great food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. After the schnitzel was gone and the espresso was drunk, the bill came straight away without me asking. I found this to be expansive and hectic and unfortunately it greatly devalued the experience.

Very friendly and very nice service. The dishes are very tasty and beautifully prepared. It was a very beautiful evening. Only the chairs in the garden area were quite uncomfortable if you were there for several hours.

All in all, expectations were not met. The price-performance ratio is not right. Beef tartare as a starter for 33 CHF was okay in terms of taste, but it was a very small portion. The Wiener Schnitzel was quite dry and not souffled and therefore didn't convince me. Service was OK. I can't judge the other dishes. However, if I wanted to eat a Wiener Schnitzel in Bern, I would go to another restaurant in the future.

The beef fillet strips stroganoff from the lunch menu were really great. Tender meat, delicately seasoned and really good side dishes.

The food was averagely good: the veal was too dry, the salad wasn't nicely prepared, the vegetables were way too soft, and the owner was arrogant. Will not visit the restaurant again.

On both visits I had a menu with beef fillet and both times the meat was cooked perfectly to my desired doneness. Service very friendly and attentive. Also suitable for large groups. The prices are reasonable. Nice atmosphere inside and outside in the garden.

Very good dishes. The truffle ravioli was excellent! My colleague had the fish of the day, which also looked excellent and tasted very good. Friendly and attentive service. Price/performance absolutely fine. Parking is very difficult, blue zone and mostly everything is occupied. Was there at lunchtime, maybe it's better in the evening. It was a little too loud in Büner for my taste. I would recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is rightly very busy.

Als Vorspeise hatten wir den Nüsslisalat mit sautierten Speckstreifen. Zum Hauptgang gab es das Original-Wienerschnitzel und zum Dessert das leckere Schockoladenküchlein. Mein Gast und ich waren sehr zufrieden, sowohl mit dem Service als auch mit dem feinen Esssen. Ich kann diese Küche als hervorragend bewerten!
